i used firefox smoothly yesterday, but it consumes 100% CPU today.

i used to use "no hardware acceleration" mode because my GPU: 1050TI and CPU: I5-10400F, due to my hardware is not strong enough and i have 2 screens to watch TWITCH while gaming..

I found that after yesterday, i open 2+ twitch streaming pages then my cpu will run 100% in (no hardware acceleration mode), however when i turn on the "hardware acceleration mode" my cpu down to 2X-3X%...

Is firefox had any update that cause the problem?

Unless i upgrade my hardware, does it had any suggestions to solve this problem?

if not, please mozilla and firefox development team solve or reverse the setting....

Thank you so much, i love firefox multi-picture in picture function a lot and none of the other browsers can do it.

Please help me, thank you!

But if I visit https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/vvb2060/Magisk@b03fdcb14dc0e7ec88e98ac3dd769d96ab01c1e2/app/src/main/res/raw/changelog.md Firefox will download it automatically, instead of directly open it in browser. The "content-type" of this http request is "text/markdown".

This is not the problem of "What should Firefox do with other files?" setting...

I make a test, I create a file "test.md" in the Nginx website folder, and I add "default_type text/markdown" to conf to force its content-type, pic here: https://vip2.loli.io/2022/05/12/v39nT8wu6yIlXeH.png

When I open it in Edge Chromium, it will shows what inside of it: https://vip1.loli.io/2022/05/12/EGFwgHPtNjqshyl.png

But Firefox... https://vip1.loli.io/2022/05/12/vuz8YBQAlD2ZCGk.png ( Here I turn on "Ask whether to open or save files")

I am using Firefox Dev 101.0b5 and also test it with Firefox Stable 100.0, the same.

A recent update had destroyed my firefox experience.

Recently I've noticed that that this client no longer stores sessions. It will only store one session, the last session, and any stored sessions that are still stored when the client crashes again becomes corrupt. I used to rely on sessions to save large amounts of tabs. However, my client just crashed due to a power outage, I was quickly skimming through my tabs in order to reduce cpu usage and weed some out... when the client suddenly crashed again before I could restore them. I lost them all.

All of a sudden I find myself without an incentive to keep using firefox. Why have you made your client worse? Everything I had was gone, and due to an accident. There is nothing loaded on my computer. And yet it crashed for no reason and everything is gone. If I had an older version of firefox, this would not have happened.

Can you please tell me what happened to your restore session feature and why its total garbage now? Please fix it. I really hate losing weeks worth of research. And no, looking in my history wont help. I have reviewed thousands if not tens of thousands of websites over the several weeks it took to accumulate that research. Finding it all again in my history is impossible. That's why I rely on tab storing services.

How about you make a restore session library tab that stores all your stored sessions securely. I am tired of this data constantly being deleted.

I use an I Mac OS 12.3.1 Monteray and Firefox 100.0.2

Lately it has been totally unreliable compared to Chrome

When first opened of a day it can take up to 5 minutes for the first pages to load, compared to almost instantly on other browsers. Other web pages will open then freeze, again no issue elseware. When i go to shut Firefox down i mostly get the message Firefox not responding and have to force quit it.

Now i'm getting a lot of tab crashed messages which i didn't get before. I have reinstalled the app

What is happining. Is it not that compatable to Monteray

I have used Firefox for years now it looks like i will have to change to Chrome

For the last two weeks or so, my firefox has frozen while in the middle of working. It is happening on two different computers one with Windows 11 and the other with windows 10. Very frustrating. I tried refreshing the system on both with no help and I even removed Mozilla from my programs and reinstalled on the windows 11 computer and still no improvement. Was there an upgrade that is causing this problem? Is there a solution other than just using Bing? Thanks

This isn't exactly a brand new issue, but every website that has to access "assets.adobedtm.com" for data causes Firefox to stall for at least a half minute, often much longer. It is becoming an increasing frustration. What can be done to eliminate this? It doesn't seem to affect Chrome or Edge.

Thanks!

Firefox version: 101.0 (64-Bit) OS: Win11 Education

Hey everyone,

as already mentioned above in the subject line my Firefox closes itself when my Laptop is turned in standby mode for longer than 30-40 min through closing the lid. The problem only occurs with Firefox (tested it already with Chromium).

According to many online articles I started Firefox in the troubleshooting mode to see whether the problem can be reproduced. Unfortunately it appeared again. After checking "about:crashes" it was remarkable to me that apparently that no crash reports were submitted.

Now I am a kind of clueless and hope to gain supportive input from you.

Cheers, Max
