Hello, With the latest Firefox update, the search bar in the Firefox Home page has been changed to a redirect to the address bar instead. When you type in the search bar in the Firefox Home it types in the address bar. It really annoys me because if I type "w" now it auto-complete "www.youtube.com" for me, but I just want to search "w". When I wanted to search an address I used the address bar, when I wanted to do a basic search I used the search bar, but now I only have access to the address bar unless I add the side search bar which I find very unpractical. I just wish we could set the Firefox Home search bar to either an address bar or a search bar, but the option is nowhere to be found.

The new base system theme for FireFox is not accessible. I cannot visually tell when one tab shifts to another. Three's not enough contrast. There's no line that marks the shift from one tab to the next. I tried countless contributor themes and they're all lacking the same feature - a physical break between tabs. Fades on text are also not accessible. Please fix this issue!

so for a while now, I don't know exactly but it has lasted throughout several updates, a bunch of my add-ons have decided to not show up in any menu where I can actually use them, they are listen in the actual add-ons manager and they are all enabled and up-to-date. I have un- and reinstalled all of the absentees several times over, I have done the reset thingy in the tool bar customization menu and have followed just about every piece of advice for similar issues on this forum and many others yet the majority of my add-ons still choose to feign non-existence. if it's helpful at all the culprit that alerted me to the problem was the YouTube Enhancer but it actually extends retroactively to add-ons I had installed way before that one that used to work fine. Also, and I can't say this with 100% certainty, I think at this point this problem applies to every new add-on I install, obviously I have only really seen it happen with the few add-ons I installed since this whole thing started so who knows if I'm just having bad luck picking add-ons that are shy. I have also disabled and re-enabled the add-ons that actually work and generally shifted everything around I case the 4 working add-ons are somehow blocking the all the others from being shown. I really really hope someone can help me with this because it's kind of frustrating being completely unable to actually use the majority of my add-ons :/

My password extension doesn't work in private window mode. When I look at the extension in Firefox, the mask shows next to it, indicating it should work in private mode. Is there a setting I'm missing?

In the latest update (89.0) the size of the font in drop-down menus has increased. When I go to my book marks the number that show on the screen has decreased by 28% which means a lot more scrolling. The original font size was very read able so why change. The question is, how can I reset the font size back to the original size? Geoff

I'm trying to develop a simple addon using the Sessions API, so I wanted to play around a bit with the JS in the Browser Toolbox first. I have set devtools.chrome.enabled to true and pressed Ctrl+Shift+J to open the browser console. I'm able to run some JS (example: console.log("Hello world!") works as expected), but when I try to run something like sessions.getRecentlyClosed(), I get the following error message:

I tried browser.sessions.getRecentlyClosed() with the same error message about "browser.sessions" not being defined. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it, or how to correctly import the Sessions API if that's what's needed?

How many are moving to a different browser thanks to Firefox/Waterfox incessant dialog prompting to 'update now'? There used to be an option to turn this off. No longer. Weekly or bi-weekly updates are rarely of any consequence anyway, so why must we endure prompt after prompt after prompt. Not everyone can stop what they're in the midst of to update on command. Speaking of incessant, I suggest Mozilla put more work into stopping incessant crashes. Now that would be an accomplishment. Rarely does an hour pass without my browser crashing. Say what you may about old Internet Explorer; at least it didn't crash all the time.

Hello, I'm a new Firefox user (I finally got fed up with ad-infested Chrome making necessary extensions I need to safely browse the internet not work any longer). When I changed to Firefox as my default browser, however, it replaced my local HTML file icon for my home page (which is on my desktop) to this butt-ugly icon I can't seem to change (I absolutely abhor dark backgrounds on ANYTHING, as they give me blurred vision and migraines thanks to a neurological issue). Unfortunately, Windows 10, in all of it's user unfriendliness, has decided not to give me the option to change icons using the properties window (there's no "Customize" tab). Can anyone tell me how to fix this, please? I do my own custom HTML pages a LOT, and I don't want to have to leave my default browser set to Chrome because their HTML file icon isn't a total (and literal) eyesore.

Hi, I complain about the new graphics, it makes me hard to work, find tabs, I don't like it at all!

I complain that Firefox doesn't advice me before about it, "your interface will be change to that", it simply impose it to users, it believes it's better and doesn't care about the opinion of users. This is really bad politic.

I complain I can't move back insalling version .88, I need to create a new profile an loose everything!! This is absolute unaceptable!! Now I'm here and I can't go back!!

I complain in all Mozilla products disable update doesn't have effect, even if I disable any possible "update" in the config register Firefox and Thuinderbird find the way to get the updates and force update all. This is also really nasty.

Looking now for a skin, a new interface, to get back visualization as in the past. Thank you for suggestions!

I've noticed that with the latest update, when I use my default search engine (Duckduckgo), that when I start a search term in the search text box for Duckduckgo, the term I'm using gets typed into the URL address bar. How do I stop this behaviour completely?

I have spent an hour of my work day trying to fix what you broke!!!!! I don't have time for this crap!!!!

• I am not a programmer. I don't want to have to manually change code.
• I want to run my business. Not fiddle with changed browser settings

Appearances didn't need to change. Where are the Tab borders. Tabs were contrasted against the menu bar. There were 3 dots in the address bar for a pull down that included Screenshots and Print Preview. ALL THIS IS GONE!!!!!!! WHY????? Fix it or do I need to find another browser?

In the website, https://roll20.net/, there are popup sheets that I cannot make into a tab in Firefox. I read something about doing "about:config" but honestly I couldn't understand what to do and if the popup would let me do it. I just want to be able to have a simple option, like Chrome, where I right click on the menu bar of the popup window and select to make it a tab. I can't believe that Firefox doesn't already have this ability. It has been a great app that I have used for years; I really don't want to change. Can Firefox add this so it's an easy process?
