Due to the previous thread locked, I had to start a new threat but it continues from the previous.

When using the scrounger located here; https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html. It creates a JSON file which can be renamed to as used in session profiles; sessionstore.jsonlz4. This is exactly what I've done then copied it to the new profile location: \Profiles\jj55ob2s.Default (release) and I don't see my tabs restored on a FireFox engine clone browser ?

when i scroll to fast, it does this. That would be a minor issue, however, it shifts where the cursor is active, which is mildly annoying. Also, I am using some kind of theme, i believe its Aurora from Firefox.

Hello I am having major problems with Firefox at the moment and have done for a while. I curently have four pages open but as you can see from the attached screen shot of my Task Manager, there are 14 Firefox processes. The usage is OTT on memory and everything else. Could you tell me why this is happening? Currently it is running in Troubleshooting mode but that is not doing anything to improve the problem. It has been known to shut my computer down, as it gets too hot. I run on Windows 10 and Bitdefender is my security. All help is gratefully received. Thanks Lisa

I'm sure someone will have answered this somewhere but is there a way to backup and restore the native Mozilla Tab Groups. I've seen plenty of people recommend other Group Tab extensions but I like the inbuilt one combined with Containers.

I've read that you can backup the whole Mozilla profile folder and this should work but I've tried that and failed, I used a few extensions to backup sessions and that also failed.

Any help would be appreciated.

After the update on the 14th, dark mode has gained weird stylistic choices that I cannot find a way to alter: namely, when closing a new tab, a white box with black font appears -as opposed to the previous darker toned grey/purple with white font. However as of writing this post, I notice that dark mode is not working on this webpage. Seeing as I have an extension enabled in addition to the basic dark mode selection in Firefox settings, I can only imagine that something was broken in the update. Please advise, the change is jarring.

A few days ago I started getting the below message when logging into my AMEX account. Any ideas how this can be fixed?

The "X" to close a website banner message is covered up by the vertical navigation bar on the right side of the screen in both minimum and maximum display modes. So the message banner cannot be closed.

for awhile now I am getting this message. I have multiple browser windows open with multiple tabs each. Even if I delete all but one browser window I still get this message.

What can I do to rid myself of this message?

I use the same laptop at two locations. I have different printers at each (both HP, one a laser the other an inkjet).

Most of my time is at location 1. Typically I can print without a problem. Recently in Firefox ONLY I have been unable to print at location 2.

Scenario:

1. I print to the laser printer at location 1. No problem.
2. I go to location 2 and choose to print - the print dialog appears with a "spinner" and it does not go away.

I have to cancel using Esc. I am unable to print at all from Firefox. Typically if I close Firefox after that, it looks closes but is still shown as running in Task Manager.

Other programs such as Word and other browsers bring up a dialog box showing that "the printer cannot be contacted" and allows cancellation. At this point I can choose the local inkjet printer and all is well.

Except one: I do not know how to detect when the default search engine has changed. I need to know how to detect when the default search engine changes so I can update the favicon and placeholder text by recalling my gui_fixes_search_favicon() function in userChrome.js.

I'm an experienced web developer of 20+ years and would be grateful if someone could share their insight without the often "obligatory" cautionary tales 101 bit. Thank you in advance!

Hello i have recently continued the windows 10 extended version and i cannot regain my bookmarks that use to be there. They are not in the back up or the restore options in the bookmarks tab. We have tried to solve this with articles off of the Mozilla website and we have not been able to regain the bookmark access.

During the last desktop update I lost all of my bookmarks. I’ve tried to sync between my iPhone and desktop but when I finally got paired nothing happened with the sync from my phone to desktop

Hello. My macBook recently died. I was signed into Firefox, so my tabs should have saved. I tried to open / upload them onto my new iMac desktop. But for some reason it only keeps wanting to mirror the open tabs on my iPad, which is not what I want. I want to resurrect the tabs open on my macBook before it died. How do I best do this please? Thanks
