I frequently use Amazon, but it shows up on my New Tab page as @amazon with a search icon, and when I click the tile it opens my search/address bar. How do I get the tile to open Amazon's website like all the other tiles I have on my New Tab page?

Alternatively, the way I've previously handled this "behavior" is dismissing the tile so I don't have to deal with its uselessness. My browser just updated, but why do I have to dismiss the tile a second time?

So I was on a theme spree trying to find something that fit my tastes better before deciding I would opt for the custom CSS Firefox route, however, I added Dolan's Dynamic theme (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dolans-dynamic-theme/) and when I tried testing it on other sites I came to realize it was not actually dynamic and decided to use a different theme. However, even after a complete browser refresh/clean-up, as well as a fresh installation of Firefox, my browser still reverts to the light / dynamic theme when I click out of the Add-Ons page. I will disable and remove all added themes and select the default and it will take effect on my browser, however when I ctrl+t or click new tab my browser reverts back to the light / dynamic theme.

Really upsetting seeing as I can't stand light themes and I prefer using Firefox for my web development work however now Firefox is sidelined for Chrome (which I cannot stand using). Any and all help or input will be appreciated and if I can provide anything else to help I will gladly do so.

All of the add-on icons in the right-hand corner have disappeared. I want to have them back. But turn on, turn off toolbars doesn't fix anything. Customize toolbars doesn't show any of the icons. There's no help for this that I can find; it's hard to even find the terminology in order to describe it. Add-on bar? Is it turned off or hidden or nonfunctional?

I know that trough about:config you can do a lot with your browser So is there a chance to fix this ?

Hallo,

My previous thread was archived, but further regression has occurred so I'll bring it up here again as feature requests are down. I'm still using 56 one reason being that there are separate control options for the start page and the home page. I like to start with a blank page, but have the home button available for my #1 destination. The current version of firefox combines start and home pages, thus taking away my options to separate these elements. For a while it wasn't in the GUI, but you could fix it in the about:config (which was my previous "solution"), but with the latest updates this has been removed as well.

How do I get separate start and home pages? If I could assign a value to the home icon that didn't affect the start page, that would work too.

         Tak!

Hi all my firefox updated itself recently [v87.0 64 bit] and I have now lost my toolbar that had all my bookmarks listed for quick and easy reference - not helpful when I run and am trying to grow a bookkeeping business lol. I have tried to find how to get it back and hopefully not lost any thing but I just cant find where - not sure how great the screenshot is but you can see there is no toolbar with all bookmarks on it.

If anyone can give me at least a hint where to look I would be lmost grateful. Many thanks Mich

There is this odd thing happening with the Firefox for the past few days. My browser is set to forget history when I close it so now, every time I open the browser my addons are gone from the bar. When I check them in add-ons they are all there but none is working/active. For all these years I had the Firefox browser(windows) I never had an issue. I have manually for so many times: - disabled/enabled addons one by one. - Tried ruling out buggy addons. - refreshed the browser (most times without a success). -> The only thing that seems to do the trick is completely re-installing the browser with removing all residue folders prior to that. And signing in to sync the account. But this is only a temporary solution as when I clear the history its all gone again and the merry-go-around starts again. Ironically I never had Facebook container working in Firefox but now suddenly its working - that is when addons are back. I installed a new ssd with clean os installation last night, however, the very same issue was happening on my previous Firefox installation on previous ssd. I have simply no clue as to what is happening here. Anyone else experiencing this? I mean this is extremely annoying and as much as I dislike Chrome I might need to go back there. I really liked how Firefox worked up until two-three days ago. Firefox version: 87.0 so it should be up-to-date.

Hello,

If I open a PDF from the downloads section of this page: example pdf (all the way at the bottom) I get a popup asking "What should Nightly do with this file?". I always want to open the pdf in the browser, that's why I checked the box next to "Do this automatically for files like this from now on.", however I keep getting the same popup over and over again.

This only happens for some links (e.g. the one I provided).

Is there any way to open *all* PDFs by default in Firefox?

Thanks in advance.

I've noticed that for a number of websites recently (eg. GMail, Twitter) that all the text I'm entering is getting red squigglies (as if there's a spelling error).

I have two dictionaries installed and do have spelling enabled. If I toggle spell-checking off, then the squiggles go away.

This has only started happening in the last few days/week. Previously the spell checking would work as expected.

I'm running Firefox 87.0 (64-bit) on Windows.

(Interestingly the form I'm typing this question in doesn't display the problem)

Following a hard disk crash, I had to replace the hard disk on my desktop. Restoring backups of data and programs is proving time consuming and difficult. I needed to download and do new install of Firefox, now running 87. But Trusteer Rapport also needed to be downloaded and installed, and neither the extension nor the address bar icon now seem to exist. Can anyone help me get the address bar icon for Trusteer Rapport back in Firefox, which is my preferred browser (the address bar icon isn't there in Chrome, either, although the extension is installed there).
