FIXED IT - browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.nova.enabled turned to False! Ok to delete my question. I don't see how to do it. Thanks.

Firefox was updated yesterday. Now I have a large white area above the Firefox logo, and the second row of the tiles is at the very bottom of the screen. I have poor eyesight, and I need to use the internet Zoom setting at 120%. Everything was fine before the update. Please see attached - this is just the left side snippet, but you can see the center of the page is all in the lower half. I'm not tech-savvy, so please give me plenty of steps. Thanks.

The Firefox VPN used to work great. Then it disappeared. When it came back, it asked me to log in so I did. After logging in, rather than letting me use the VPN, it would once more ask me to log in. The attached picture shows what it keeps prompting me.

I have tried for several days to get Firefox to use this GPU; I cannot. Chrome, and Edge use this GPU without issues.

I am using Firefox 151.0 (64-bit) 20260516144017 on Windows 11 Pro 25H2, 26200.8457 Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU with latest driver: NVIDIA RTX Driver Release R595 U4 (596.36) Tue Apr 28, 2026.

Windows > System > Display > Graphics > Firefox GPU preference: High Performance (NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU)

Firefox Settings: General > Performance:

unchecked Use recommended performance settings
 checked    Use hardware acceleration when available

My latest combination of settings are:

gfx.webrender.all = true gfx.webrender.force-disabled = false

webgl.default-low-power = false webgl.disable-wgl = false webgl.disabled = false webgl.enable-prototype-webgl2 = true webgl.force-enabled = true

I have tried several combination of settings to no avail.

I always get: about:support > Graphics > Compositing: WebRender (Software).

hi; when accessing AOL or Yahoo mailboxes from Firefox. I normally write email/reply & edit before sending. for example highlighting or making some letters bigger./bold/diff colour for emphasis. Since ~ 1month ago this has stopped. i msut now copy to word doc/ edit, then copy & paste back into email then send. When using Opera or edge it is ok. why was this done??? no reason i can see Also if i access my yahoo email box from edge that also works perfectly you dont need any screenshots as issue is explained. maybe it is some kind of conflicting setting in firefox?

When I restart Firefox, it opens all of my bookmarks, each in a separate tab. It takes forever to close them all down one by one. then it happens again the next time I restart Firefox. I'm on a windows laptop.

Because there were so many attempts at password they stopped my default. I read about having to do something but I am an 85 year old woman and I am sorry but I cannot figure out how to get a ton of passwords done one by one. I sincerely hope that this be taken care of because otherwise I have no way of knowing how to get the Xfinity email to work for me.

I am logged into the same Firefox account on both my phone and desktop.

Sync is enabled and bookmarks are ticked.

My desktop bookmarks do not show up in my phones bookmarks, and nothing I bookmark on my phone shows up in my desktop bookmarks.

I remember there used to be a mobile bookmarks folder where these were stored, but that has disappeared from both my phone and desktop bookmark manager.

I have a lot of open tabs on my phone which I need to bookmark and organise, so I can't reinstall to test if that fixes it without losing them all.

I can see my phones open tabs on desktop through synced open tabs, so I'm definitely connected to the right account and clearly some stuff is syncing, just not bookmarks.

hi Normally i write email & use mouse cursor to Highlight text & can edit text colour/size etc then send email. After a recent firefox update ; the cursor dissappears so unable to edit email text before sending. It is ok when accessing my yahoo/aol mailboxes email using Edge browser.

What is firefox settings fix???

When I download with this browser, I cannot open the file and it states download has "failed". Any other browser I use allows me to open the file. I use Firefox most often because I like the way it performs, but the download issue causes me to look elsewhere for a viable browser. I cannot seem to find what is causing the download failure and am hoping you can offer a reason that will provide a fairly quick fix.

Whenever I click on VPN on your task line I get the same drop down window offering installation. Upon clicking on "further" I end up with a page which offers nothing to proceed to an installation process. I realy feel lost and dumped into a marry go round endless circle.

When trying to access my Tablo units via my.tablotv.com, the browser appears to see the units (or perhaps it is using prior access data, I don't know). But when selecting a Tablo unit to connect with, the result is a "continuing" message with the usual circle, but then nothing else-- neither the expected successful connection nor the usual "problem connecting" message when something is wrong. I can still access the units as usual using firefox on my Chromebook, which I presume hasn't updated Firefox the same way. These are the older Tablo units, not the different system they are selling now.

I'll attach a screenshot. I did try "repair"ing Firefox using the built in Windows functionality, but that didn't seem to change anything. I was thinking of trying to uninstall firefox and reinstall it, if you think that might work. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Stephen Hedges

The Firefox browser came through with an update and I found that on Bluesky it is hard to load or see video's, which makes it a slightly pointless exercise.

Previously I have found that after an update (can't recall if it was Chrome, but think it was Firefox) the problems cleared up after a couple of days.

However, that doesn't seem to be happening right now.

Can't think what I should be tweaking at my end.

Firefox 153.0 , Windows 10 pro ESU. Waze no longer dislpays traffic information on their map web page. Tried alot of things to fix this issue including safe mode, disable enhanced tracking, disable hardware acceleration, webgl settings. Sometimes but not always I can get it to work if I clear waze cookies and browser cache, but not always.

Hi Community, I wanted to send a link to my desktop pc and saw that I'm not longer logged in. So I wanted to login again with my same acount and the same password I always used. The login site of Firefox sync shows: Password is invalid, but I never changed my password!

Now on my desktop pc (still logged in) I can't set a new password because there aswell my old password says 'Password is invalid'. Whar happend? Also to set a recovery key I need the old password aswell.

What to do? Greetings Ben
