When I log into a website, say amazon.com, and it prompts me to add a passkey, my only option is local windows machine.
If I use Chrome, I can choose between Google PW manager and hardware key.
Once I save the passkey in Chrome, it works just fine in Firefox.
Is this expected behavior? I used FF for personal browsing and don't really want to move to Chrome.

Apparently I set up a Passkey when I log into my credit card account. I just want to delete that and rely only on the standard Username and Password method I've never had a problem with. I thought that could be done through the credit card account but they tell me thats something controlled by the browser. So....how do I just delete this Passkey from Firefox ?
A screen shot is attached showing the Passkey button.

Hi People ! First time here, so bare with me. My system (desk top PC) was recently HACKED into recently. Which is a story in itself ! (Did you know, that you can actually phone-up a HACKER on Google ?) So have become extremely aware of u/n & p/w's. Not to mention making A LOT of changes in A LOT of places. For yrs I've been so SICK of coming up with p/w's, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, every place I go. Sorry..., I guess I preaching to the choir here. To the point! I've become more interested in changing over to these 'Passkeys' I keep coming across, instead of p/w's. I have long used the Mozilla Password Manager. (LOVE IT, great work guys !) And am wondering, will IT also use/keep these 'keys' like I'm used to with the MPM ? Thanks for reading and yr time... Sammy

Recently one of my phones was stolen so I wanted to change all my important passwords just because. But whenever I use the 'Suggest strong password' for each of my google accounts, it keeps suggesting the same password! I mean, it is not suggesting new passwords, it keeps the same suggestion for the same site (in this case myaccounts.google). I need to fix this cause I'm too lazy to create new passwords and the main point of using this tool is to help me with strong and powerful passwords to keep everything safe. Also, I have like 15 different googe accounts so I dont want to do it one per one. Please, I need a solution. I already deleted cookies and caché

I live in Norway, and here I need to use a password to communicate with official offices. Whenever I want to log in, a list of three passwords appears. I have to remember that only one is right. Always, Firefox has a link to manage passwords. But when I go there, the wrong passwords are grayed out, and if I click on the delete symbol, only my valid password is deleted! How to manage the manage password page?

I have used firefox for many years on Pc s and Imac recently I had an upgrade and now firefox opens half screen and I have make it full screen every time. I tried to find a simply way but failed and pressed dismiss button and now I can't reinstall. I had google password on very secure generated one and most of my passwords have vanished in Motzilla leaving three passwords. What is going on? I am 86 this month and have spent nearly two days wasted. Clearly the web is full of problems, we need simply put my screen or passwords back.

just recently my firefox just stopped using all the saved logins and passwords i had saved to my account. but the account is still logged in but says there is no passwords saved to the saved logins and passwords. i tried looking online for solutions but i couldn't find or figure out anything that matched what was happening to me or at a similar time. i have checked the login.json files and it is not corrupt, i tried to see if maybe the extensions i have may have deleted them somehow but they shouldnt be able to do that. i don't know or remember literally any of my passwords because firefox was holding them and would auto fill them and now it says they're gone and they don't have any saved in the browser. i was legitimately ready to try deciphering my passwords from my files to literally get anywhere near to what they could have been

Hi
We are looking to block the ability for a user to store or access saved credentials in the built-in password manager within firefox on mac and we used the following plist to push out a policy via JAMF
While we were able to get the password autofill/prompt disabled, we can still access the manager to view or add credentials manually.
Looking to see if there are some other parameters that can be used to accomplish this ?
<plist version="1.0">
<dict> <key>DisableMasterPasswordCreation</key> <true/> <key>PrimaryPassword</key> <false/> <key>OfferToSaveLogins</key> <false/> <key>OfferToSaveLoginsDefault</key> <false/> <key>PasswordManagerEnabled</key> <false/> </dict>

Could this be due to a Firefox update, extension (e.g. LastPass), or syncing?
I’ve noticed in Firefox Password Manager that a large number of saved logins all show the same “last used/updated” date in the past (e.g. July 2020). This includes websites that I know I did not visit or log into at that time.
I am now in a situation where I’m being accused of attempting to access a site on that specific date, but I strongly believe I did not.
Can anyone clarify whether this behaviour could be explained by something like:
- A Firefox update,
- The installation or update of a browser extension (such as LastPass), or
- A syncing/importing process that might change timestamps for multiple entries at once?
I’ve attached screenshots from Firefox to show how this appears....there are LOTS of sites that have this date on them, not just the one that I am being accused of trying to access.
Any insight into why these “used/updated” dates might change in bulk would be extremely helpful.
