I consistently get an "Error 500" message when trying to view some sites. Firefox will redraw the page if I refresh the screen, but I get the same error after a few seconds. The main (but not only) site I experience this problem is a local news station (KRNV). I'm running Firefox 115.7.0esr (64 bit) on OpenSuse Leap 15.5.

Also, why does the search function here seem not to work? I tried searching for "Error 500" messages, but most of them seemed to involve trying to sync with other devices. So I tried "Error 500 -sync", but still got the same messages with sync in them

hi. i have (too) many windows and tabs open - and whenever i click the firefox icon in my dock, it doesn't go to the window i was just in - instead it chooses a different window and i get back to the original window by clicking the dock icon again - how do i make this stop?

     I have been having this issue for a couple days where I've been trying to connect to a network on my personal device, and getting sent to "ping.archlinux.org/nm-check.txt", but upon it opening it would prompt me to login to the network (then clicking on login would go to ping.archlinux.org and so on...)
     For a while I was messing around with NetworkManager configs to no success, but then I found captive portal detection and I've made progress on solving the issue, so far I've tried turning "network.captive-portal-service.enabled" to false but then the "open network login page" button stopped showing up entirely and trying to search would so a no WIFI page,
     so that won't work, then I tried changing "captivedetect.canonicalURL" to an empty string, but then the network login page was obviously an empty page, I'm really not sure what to do now, I haven't found any answers yet, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I was playing a game on Facebook when the screen froze and then blanked out. Now when I try to access any games, I get the message that 'my browser does not support this feature'. Is this a Facebook problem and is there anything I can do to solve it - there is no point trying to contact Facebook. TIA

So I'm not sure how to search this, I couldn't find anything after trying...so apologies as I'm sure this is covered somewhere. Anyway, when I wake computer from sleep, Firefox is often unresponsive while disk activity is maxed - so I think what's happening is it's storing pages/tabs to disk and reloading them (slowww*) vs just getting them fresh from the web.

If I have diagnosed this right, is there a setting that can be changed to disable this?

(I already tried browser.cache.disk.enable -> false - this had no effect).

• Yes this is an old drive not SSD but for crying out loud I shouldn't have to upgrade hardware for this, in theory at least....

firefox crashes when i try to log into gmail be it on tumblr or in gmail itself. I have deleted cookies, reinstalled firefox so i'm clueless, it also doesn't save a crash report so i can't send it in

I've been looking to recover my file history. I accidentally deleted my file history. I looked into recovery. I found out how using a youtube video. Using Sqlite recovery app on this file "places.sqlite." However, when I search and looked up a few things, it was basically the history I can already access and that only goes back from now to like december 2023. I want to go back a few years. Did I do something wrong using the sqlite app for that file?

I use the est edition of firefox 115.15.0 64bit and after the last update i can't change resolution to any youtube video. Why is that happening and how i can fix it?

bold text I had just used firefox to file something with the California Second District Court of Appeal and when I went to use it again, the following appeared on my screen: X The procedure entry point SECITEM_FreeArray could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\xul.dll and then X Couldn't locate XPCOM appeared when I clicked ok at the bottom of the first message.

I need to get reconnected immediately. Please help. Thank you.
