Hey Guys and Gals,
I have a website problem with Firefox in Windows 10 Home 64bit oem.
I am trying to get to Cyberlink.com and I get error . I also get error if I try using Chrome. Attached at 2 screenshots, 1 FF and 1 Chrome.
I cant access the site using either browser in wiindows 10.
Microsoft Edge accesses it fine thou. Also I have a Linux virtual OS on my system and I can access Cyberlink.com using firefox in it.
I thought maybe it was my system but it also happened on 2 other computer running Windows 7. But to be on safeside I ran Windows 10 troubleshooter and no problems were found. I ran SFC /scannow from Elevated CMD prompt and it found no errors. I than ran a DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth and it found no problems.
Anyone else have an issue accessing Cyberlink.com (cyberlink dot com) just in case links are blocked?
And how would I fix the issue if it is only my system?
Please let me know. Thanks in advance Gren

1. There are so many different Firefox versions and they keep adding. Which one is the best???
2. Every time you upgrade all my data seems to disappear, Extensions, add-ons, saved logins which I have saved under Privacy & Security. In addition, why each time I logout, the check-mark I have checked asking to save logins & passwords has to be checked every time I sign in. I assumed that this should remain checked, since if you don't, and make changes, the new login is not saved????
3. Are you behaving as Windows? The reason I changed to your software was that you seemed to be more understanding of customer issues.....
4. It's all very nice to come up with new features, but the features that are now should be working efficiently. Once that occurs, then indeed promote new and better features.
5. Make it easier to understand, i.e., use examples, terminology that is for average users, don't try to impress with all the jargon is used by computers experts. Remember, all customers have different levels of knowledge, so please keep this in mind, PLEASE....
I would appreciate a response to these issues. I am hoping that this will be done in a short time.

I'm posting this from my XP machine since I don't want to do anything more on my Windows 7 laptop (where the issue exists) that might cause me untold grief. I had seen the message to "Restart Firefox to Update" for several days but was busy doing 'stuff' so I held off. Was also getting messages that Adobe Acrobat Reader had been updated successfully and that I should restart for the update to take effect. Finally, since I wanted to replace my AVG Free AV with ZoneAlarm Internet Security, I decided it was time to close all my active programs, including Firefox, remove AVG Free AV, download and install ZoneAlarm Internet Security and then shut down my laptop in order to install any Windows 7 updates. In order to shut down Firefox while maintaining all my Windows and Tabs, I typically just pull-down the Menu and select 'Exit'. When I open Firefox again, I select 'Restore previous session", my Windows all come up and my tabs are all there and I'm off to the races! However, when I tried that this time, I received a warning that I had 8 Windows open and 441??? tabs (I have a lot but it is nowhere near that number [150 maybe]) in use and they would all be closed if I chose to exit. Since this is my way of remembering all of the things that I am working on at any given time, I DEFINITELY DIDN'T WANT TO DO THAT!! So, the only choice I had seemed to be to click on the "Restart Firefox to Update" button in the "Help" --> "About Firefox" dialog box. However, I did that about 6 hours ago and the little blue 'circle' just keeps 'spinning' and the hard drive access light flashes periodically (more so, within the first 30 minutes or so after clicking on the 'Restart' button) but the 'Restart' has not completed. I guess I will have to abort the update somehow but I don't want to do that part way through a 'Restart' and I DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY OPEN TABS!!! What should I do to be able to get back to productive work using Firefox?!

I'm using YouTube from a Mac with OS Mojave version 10.14, Firefox version 63.0.1. YouTube videos just aren't showing up for me, either on the YouTube site or embedded. This is true:
- for multiple videos;
- after deleting YouTube's cookies from my browser;
- whether I'm signed into YouTube or not;
- whether I disable AdBlock (and my other handful of extensions) or not;
- whether I started Firefox in Safe Mode or not.
I've attached a couple of screenshots of what YouTube looks like for me. Most of the time it loads correctly, but the video just doesn't appear. Sometimes (e.g. after disabling all add-ons and refreshing) it loads the other, whiter, even less interactive option. Oh! And it works fine in Safari on the same device.
Help would be much appreciated please!

This one is hard to pin down, but occasionally Firefox will go unresponsive but will accept one previous mouse action (like clicking a tab) when I put Firefox in the background by clicking another open non-Firefox window and bringing it to the front.
How this happens:
1. I lock my macbook and step away from the desk for an undetermined amount of time. 2. I come back to my desk and unlock my computer. 3. I click on firefox to browse for something and it doesn't respond 4. I'll click another tab that isn't in focus, nothing will happen 5. I click on any other open application and I will notice that Firefox will change to the tab I had just clicked on 6. If I go back to Firefox, it will not respond to anything until I bring some other application to focus.
Sometimes, if I wait a long time like 10 or 15 minutes, the problem will resolve itself. Usually I just get frustrated and close Firefox.
I feel like this has to be a problem between Firefox and some other application that I run. Some other appications that are typically open are:
iTerm2 Spotify Lastpass Plugin Microsoft Outlook Atom.io Sometimes TweetDeck Maybe another Firefox profile
I have been unable to regularly reproduce this issue, but it will typically happen multiple times a day.
One other behavior that I have noticed is that I can click the address bar and nothing visible happens, but if I start typing, the suggestion bar will pop up and accept the text I am typing. I am including a picture of that behavior

For years I have used Firefox and been able to login to my NatWest Account - suddenly I am no longer able to have this facility. SECURE CONNECTION FAILED - The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data couldn't be verified. Please contact the owners of the website to inform them of this problem.
I looked on your help site to see if there were others with this challenge and found some comments from some sanctimonious prat to the effect that this should be remedied by the website owner and that eventually the website would no longer be able to be accessed by any other browser such as Chrome, Edge etc. Great, but I need to see my bank accounts online and rather than change banks, I am changing to Edge so that I can. Eventually NatWest may have to change their security but until then I am going to move away from Firefox, and, I know I only contribute a small amount to your "cause" every year but I shall take that away as well - you are too "holier than thou" in your approach to security and take no thought of how its implications affect the user.

I've had trouble accessing websites that use a certificate that's signed with the DigiCert Root CA. As an example, if I open up blog.mozilla.org, I get a SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER.
This is somehow related to my user profile. If I create a new profile, the problem disappears.
I've tried deleting cert*.db in my profile directory to no avail. I checked about:config and I couldn't find any relevant non-default configuration.
To my surprise, if I want to manually set the trust of the certificate in the certificate manager ("Edit Trust"), it tells me that the certificate is trusted. However, if I click on "View Certificate", I get the following error: "Could not verify this certificate because the issuer is unknown."
I don't know much about CAs, but it seems to be surprising how the issuer of a Root CA could be unknown, isn't that the whole point of a Root CA that it does not need to be signed by another certificate?
The more important question: Where in my profile may I have a non-default option that causes Firefox to not trust the DigiCert Global Root CA?

Firefox is beginning to become more of an annoyance than it is worth - most of the reason for this is the continual string of updates, messages, click bars and pop ups it shows on start up.
No these are not spam or bad add ins, they are programmed interruptions inherent to FF.
Users of FF want to get on and do things. Having to close windows with news about the latest update (and there are soooo many updates), or news that the opml feed is now on your desktop (another thing to waste time attending to) or messages about privacy or messages about syncing pages and settings or pop up messages about how FF is private etc are just plain annoying.
It is getting to the point where I expect to wait longer for FF to start and then have to wade through cruft, than it takes to boot the entire Windows 10 OS and deal with the Ms cruft on the log in screens.
If people want to learn, then they will look stuff up. So seriously - stop popping up tabs, notices, messages, dialog boxes and other cruft. Let the users just get on with using FF rather than putting up with cruft about using FF.
FF is now officially slower to start than every other browser we have and slower than me booting an entire windows 10 pc - all because of continuous updates which don't seem to do anything for me - or most users. oh sure, you can say its for security but if you are patching security holes as regularly as you are updating FF then there is something terribly wrong in your programming standards and coding methodologies - not to mention test process.
Its a trend to tell people about your product - but its one that annoys users. We just want to get on with using whatever - so please get out of our way and let us just use the product.
I like FF - but I liker it a lot less than I used to as its now annoying the crud out of me almost every day.
My 10c worth.

Using FF 64 on a Win10/64bit.
All other browsers work fine (IE/Chrome/edge) i think (!) after windows10 update (the 'october update') i just installed since PC just came out of box... it stopped working. PC has been on and used with FF for few days already, had no problems, synced bookmarks fine etc.
Now: - no url loaded if entered manually - no url loaded if selected from bookmarks - no settings page loaded most of times. - sometimes (!) i can load "options/preferences" - i can never load about: functions
Checked and done so far without luck: - re-install (removed, restarted, checked for removal of Mozilla directory, installed) - created new profile - checked proxy settings in settings : manual / no proxy - checked windows firewall settings and even defaulted them etc - started in 'safe modus' (no extensions loaded) - not using 'offline' modus
anybody? i've spent a few hours now and near close to leaving it and using Chrome...

We use IBM's iNotes product for internal e-mail. Within approximately the last eight weeks we've been encountering random carriage returns added to the messages we send when auto spell check is enabled. If we disable auto spell check or use a different browser (Google Chrome and Apple Safari was tested) the problem disappears. The problem seems to disappear for a short time if we clear the Firefox cache.
I've been working with IBM support regarding this problem and they're convinced the problem is related to Firefox. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Thanks, Bob

This is a new problem from sometime around (before?) the release of Quantum...
After some time using the browser, my laptop inevitably has a black screen of death (KSOD) issue where the device screen will not wake from display sleep (before the device enters sleep or hibernation) and the device must be shut off by holding the power button as the track pad or special key combinations do not work to wake the screen...
I have tried disabling hardware acceleration and uninstalling/reinstalling the Intel graphics driver (which is not testable for long since Windows Update re-installs it almost immediately, though I could try disabling wuauserv in the services manager...)
I also reinstalled Firefox and refreshed my profile, and tried running the browser in with the add-ons disabled...
