'trying to sign on to zoom successfully, then once in I get a notification saying I need to download the lastest version, Ive tried 6 times bianary file and then nothing happens '

firefox updated itself, which normally would be fine, but now there is a PDF icon in place of my normal firefox icon, and I am afraid to use it now. Is it for real?, can I change the icon back to the old firefox one? Please let me know cause I won't use it now until I know for sure that it's ok and get it back as it was. thank you, Linda

So Firefox did an auto-update a few days ago, and when I opened the browser EVERYTHING was gone. Passwords, bookmarks, etc.

I've managed to get the old bookmarks moved over, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the old passwords back. The old data is in a folder on my desktop, do I just copy and paste the login and key 4 files from that folder to the new folder?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I'm a pleb and this is the first time I've experienced this. :(

bold text' I need to stop firefox from attempting to download update 99 because it will not download it and it is taking up too much of my internet metered download time.'I have taken it off of automatically download updates,but it still pops up a message every day.

Why is firefox automatically downloading strange files I've never seen before? (MEUIVFJ-.htm and 3tHMwYhc) They look a little untrustworthy. My download dropdown suddenly showed me that one had been downloaded, and then a while later the other one was downloaded. Are these actual Mozilla files? Or are they some kind of scam/trojan/spyware? I just realized that two were downloaded last month as well.

I just downloaded the latest version of firefox. When I tried opening it the message said it is not compatible with Max OSX 10.11. I now need to download a later version of firefox. Which version is compatible with Mac OSX 10.11? thank you!

I got an email to update to version 100, and downloaded and installed, but now I have no bookmarks or anything else, just a blank version. Please help me! Thankyou!!

I have download set to always ask and consequently always get the, "What should Firefox do with this file?" dialogue box. 9 times out of 10 I choose, "Open with ... ". 10 times out of 10 Firefox also downloads the file. How can I stop FireFox downloading files I don't want ?

You actually have an egregious error in your install procedure/program. 1) you fail to tell folks/warn them close down i) FF when installing the update and/or ii) save and delete all open sites in the FF being upgraded. 2) there is a failure to TELL us reboot FF after the install.

Doing research and writing all day long as I do, I actually hold a number of reference sites open in FF as I work.

My friend who happens to understand all this computer stuff tells me that the open sites on my FF is what impeded the successful install . . . .

The other grumble I have with you-all is that it has taken me too much time to try and find a way to respond to you with the information needed to solve this problem for the FF community . . . .

I am a paying/donator to FF . . . and I must tell you I am beyond disappointed by all this dropped ball on sensible communications practice!

At history of download files, there is file which was "not safe" i can't allow it or remove from history it comes back each time i open firefox again..and file was removed.. Help, it's very annoying

In release 100 , why did you not bring my old profile data along??? I'm a computer professional and it was a nerve-racking experience. I can't image how most people could follow your instructions on how to recover from your thoughtless update procedure. I've been through many Firefox upgrades over the years without such effort.
