I can't turn off lazy loading. I set the following about:config settings to "false":

browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand browser.sessionstore.restore_tabs_lazily browser.sessionstore.restore_pinned_tabs_on_demand

Nothing changes. When I start Firefox, it simply won't load all tabs. How do I fix this?

I just updated Firefox today and now google play books won't open. I deleted the book and readded it and deleted my cookies and retried but still no joy. All I get is the message "Can't open this book. Try again later" and then the option to either Get Help or just OK.

Hello, today my Firefox offered me to try the "Translate this page" beta function within the browser. I agreed but now want to disable/delete this option and don't know how. I can uncheck the option to always translate the page in the menu settings after clicking on the icon in the bar. But I don't see an option to delete this add-on (it's not listed in the add-on section either). How can I get rid of it? Best, Manu

Firefox desktop, when I tab it jumps to a different line in the document and it's very frustrating. Nothing touchpad related, and doesn't occur on Chrome. What can i do?

In the last couple of days, I have been having troubles editing Google Docs documents. Certain actions cause the cursor to jump around in the document.

For example, if I am sitting in a bulleted list, if I invoke the "increase indent" function through a menu or through the keyboard shortcut (tab key), the increase indent function executes correctly, but then the cursor moves to a new position a few lines earlier in the document.

Other operations cause similar movement of the cursor.

I am not alone in seeing this. I contributed to that thread, and on the advice of Google technical support tried various things. I disabled all my add-ons and refreshed firefox. The problem still occurred. But if I tried Google Chrome, I did not see the problem.

The problem persists across different documents.

I observed the problem in two separate environments: on both my laptop and my desktop computers. In both cases I'm running the latest release version of firefox (117.0.1). My desktop runs windows 11 while my laptop runs windows 10 -- both are up-to-date.

However, my wife can edit the same documents without seeing the problem. So, it's something specific to my environment. We use the same add-ons. The only difference I can think of is that I use a firefox account for syncing bookmarks across devices while she does not.

Factory reset android phone, trying to sync with my account. Tells me my password is wrong, but it's the SAME as what's stored in the cookie! If I try to change it, it tells me whatever I've entered as a new password is wrong? Can't win!

Every time I update firefox, the same thing happens. In the past you have disregarded my issue.

I have four Gmail accounts. I'll call them A, B, C and D at gmail com.

When I update firefox, it signs me out of all my Gmail accounts. When I laboriously sign back in, I'll start with A. I sign in and get my most recent emails. Then I sign into B. When I click on the inbox, I get A's gmail, not B.s When I sign into C, and click on the inbox, I get A's gmail, not C's. When I sign into D, and click on the inbox, I get A's gmail.

THis happens in both bookmarks as well as normal sign in.

I've complained aobut this before and you have told me I am imagining things. I am not, and it's why I seldom update firefox.

WHY are you doing this, Why have you not fixed it in the several years I've had firefox and HOW DO I GET IT FIXED.

I have multiple "instances" of all of my bookmarks in my Library--specifically, the Bookmarks Menu, the Folders within that menu and all of the individual bookmarks within each folder. (See attached; I'm just keeping the Bookmark Menu level but trust me, each one of those 5 instances has the exact same list of Folders and associated bookmarks.) I just want to see ONE instance of them in my library, not all of these redundant instances. When I delete ANY bookmark or folder in ANY of the multiple instances, ALL instances of that bookmark or folder get deleted. Searching the forums, I get solutions for combining duplicates, or backup/restoring bookmarks, or "turning off sync." But none of these relate to my issue (e.g., sync has never been on). They don't act like duplicates (where if you delete one the other remains). It acts as if there are multiple "pointers" to the same menu/folder/bookmark.

Can someone please assist with how I can get rid of the redundant instances/listings of the Bookmark Menu, folders and bookmarks without deleting all of them? I'd ideally like to keep the first one, underneath the Bookmarks Toolbar, so it shows up at the top of my screen.

I have a General Motors account that I can't login to. https://www.gmccanada.ca/en/ownercenter/service They recently changed to multi authentication using Microsoft. I can login to the first step but after I enter the sent password in the second step nothing happens. I have tried basic some trouble shooting like Firefox trouble mode, clearing cache and adding web site to exceptions in settings. GM Help Line told me to use a different browser!!!

I have started doing research on Vietnam Veterans using the online Coffelt database (coffeltdatabase.org). The search results pages often provide links to supporting documents, but I am not able to open them in the Firefox browser. However, I am able to open them when using the Edge browser. I prefer Firefox and would like to know if there is a setting adjustment I could make to fix the issue. Thanks.

recently got new hard disk installed , and using moyilla as browser ...previously i could shut down and get back to tabs and sites i was using on restart .... now i dont have that view and just get a long list on recently used tabs in toolbar,mozilla icon. How can i get those closed webpages, sites, back on screen all at once ? the history optionin side menu doesnt show any way to do this either...( i think it used to ) thanks calgar.

Since last upgrade Firefox seems unable to access any wordpress sites.

Always says to enable cookies. I've done that but still not possible access.

Is Firefox now becoming so "secure" it is useless?

There are more and more web sites where Firefox just is no longer a viable browser.

There is no clear "ENABLE" cookies option to resolve this just pages on explanations about safety yada yada yada.

I just want a button that says ENABLE COOKIES so I don't have to constantly seek answers to use this browser on a particular web site.

As much as I hate Chrome I am finding it more useful now than FireFox

I frequently view PDF files in Firefox, and I would find it very convenient to be able to switch to two-page view with a keyboard shortcut. This would save me time and effort from having to click on the two-page view button in the PDF viewer toolbar.

I would be grateful if you could provide me with the keyboard shortcut for two-page view in Firefox. If there is no such shortcut, I would also be interested to know if there is any way to create a custom keyboard shortcut for this task.

Hi there, i got different firefox issues displaying websites. my configuration: firefox 117.0 (64bit) cleaned 5 minutes ago addons deinstalled (all) kaspersky firewall deactivated fresh start on different sites an ad guard site pops up telling me protection for children when relaoding F5 site it tells certificate is not safe after reloading whit shift+f5 it tells site is not reachable

if i open the same website on chrome on the same laptop everything works fine. there are days when these errors do not occur. on other days it is simply impossible to surf the net. i do not have installed ad blockers or even adguard. but adguard website shows up. we got an avm fritzbox 7590ax to access fibre 500mbit. it seems firefox is not able to interact with something. maybe provider netcologne?

i treid everything to get these website going but nothing worked. and it is only firefox. chrome works. opera too. edge okay.... :-)

any suggestion where to start find out where this adguard websites comes from? any idea why firefox got so many security issues with just normal websites?

I have restarted Firefox to no avail. I wish not to uninstall and re-install as I have several important bookmarks I don't want to get rid off.

This one download keeps persisting. When I click the x, nothing happens. When I try to cancel it, nothing happens. It doesn't make any progress and doesn't do anything else aside from prevent me from downloading other files. It is really beginning to stress me out.

Please help.
