I am taking a course on Coursera, and while the video lessons are viewable on my W10 box running Firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit), on my W7 box running Firefox 115.27.0esr (64-bit) the Coursera page, after briefly displaying the lesson's home page, which includes the normal video playback window, reports "This page encountered an error." I have contacted Coursera, to no avail, and now seek advice from you all. I suppose I can not return on my W7 box to the normal Firefox non-esr releases, but was something changed therein of late that would cause this? It all worked well in July, but now won't work at all. When I have attempted to log in to my MyPoints and my Entergy electricity account to pay my bill. I can not log in after the previous update. I was able to log in to my Entergy account on 08/22/2025 to pay one of our power bills. This was accomplished with out issue. When I went to log in to my Entergy account on 08/29/2025. The User name and password screen cleared correctly. The next step was for a 2ed step verification with a 6 digit code sent to my cell phone. This did not work at all. I tried several times after restarting my phone , computer, phone and computer with the same result.

good day. we have always used mozilla for streaming but since last week it is just buffering. We can watch youtube and netflix on it but dstv is not working anymore

So, as has been announced, FireFox 115 ESR will get updates until septempber 2025. This deadline has been extended multiple times. What factors are being taken in consideration when deciding whether to extend support again? With server 2008 updates you can get windows 7 up to date until 2026, sort of. Ending support in september would still be sad, because people too stubborn or not willing to upgrade probably still wont when support of firefox ends. I am a firefox on windows 7 user myself too, and it would be sad if they dropped support. Ill have to use a backported fork by the community

So thats my question, what factors matter in terms of extending 115 esr support again?

Updated Firefox today. Lost all bookmarks,history and downloads. No icon present in header tool bar. Tried search and recovery using all available information listed under 'HELP'. NO success. Past profile storage locations are non-existent. Did a restore point on computer/ no help. I'm using windows 7 so did an upgrade as noted in Firefox notice.

I've been using Firefox for years and would hate to change. Hope recovery is possible.

I have restored my homepage to Firefox many times, but every time I restart Firefox, it changes back to Google. I even have my search engine set to DuckDuckGo, but it keeps Google as my search engine! I've emptied my cache and data too. How can I stop Google from hijacking my homepage? Thanks, Wally.

Several sites I frequently visit have the option to skip the verification code process "for this browser". Although I check the box for this choice, the next time I go to log in there, it still requires me to go through the process. What do I have to do to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!
