My javascript cannot detect the difference beween closing a new preferences tab and a new non domain tab. I believe this is for security reasons. This leads to one of my custom messages popping up when closing a non domain tab, which is not standard behavour on other websites on FireFox. If the user does or does not follow the popup instructions everything works fine. My question is: does this disqualify my website from being posted to the internet for FireFox browsing, or is it tolerable to users and to Mozilla? I have intentionally left out of this post technical information about my javascript. Believe me, I have tried countless ways to code my way out of this situation but due to Firefox's strong security measures, it is impossible. I should mention that perhaps if my script was an addon I would have accesss to the TAbs API which might offer a solution. The purpose of the script is to update the website to changes to the default Browser Zoom Level as found in the prefererence settings. Does anyone know if this purpose is compatible with FireFox Addon developement?Thanks so much for directing me to informed assistance. I hope the post is not "TMI"!!

I had to erase my laptop and am in the process of resetting it up. I used firefox prior and am trying to see if it is possible to restore all my previous bookmarks etc. I was told it automatically backed them up.

I created a new profile on my account. Whenever I am in the original profile, I can click on the new profile and it will open a new window with a new icon. However, I notice that under the new profile, it is not signed in. When I try to sign in, I get an error that says

Account already in use xxx@gmail.com is already signed in to the “original” profile

You can only associate this account with one profile on this computer.

Then it forces me to switch back to the original profile. This tells me that the profile is not syncing for access across devices.

This is happening on my macbook.

Where is the "New Window" option in file menu of the 152.0.5 version of Firefox? why is there no 'New Window option" in file menu of the 152.0.5 version of Firefox? There is only one option, "New Private Window." If this is the new version of Firefox and I have been a fan and consumer for over 20 years, I am going to use Safari.

Hi, for the past month or so I'm not able to reply to emails using Apple Mail on Fire Fox browser. The arrow gets cut off in the upper right hand corner. Also I'm not able to move emails into their appropriate folders by selecting the folder icon in the top middle of the screen.

I am unable to log into my energy provider, when I log into my bank I can't use some features like seeing all my transactions, I can't log into Twitter, I can't play anything from Substack.

When uploading a file to attach to another app...the upload window opens up in dark mode. I don't like this and I did not change anything but it happens repeatedly. i have checked all options in settings to make sure the light mode is checked. Why is this happening. i did not change anything. Please advise. Thanks

All videos played on my FireFox browser are slowed. This happens on any video playing, including on YouTube, even when the video is on 1x speed and is not slowed. It has been getting progressively slower over the past months, and was not fixed after I uninstalled and reinstalled FireFox. Please kindly assist.

Why does Firefox take wild guesses at what folder I want something save to. I just downloaded 108 files to the same folder and Firefox never caught onto where I wanted to save these files. It just kept pitching randome "default" folders all over my computer. How can this possibly be a desirable behavior?

I keep a lot of bookmarks, organized into folders. Many of those folders are in my bookmarks toolbar. And many of subfolders. When I click a folder (and subfolder), bookmarks present themselves from top to bottom in order of when they were added. But I'd like to see them in order of when they were last added! ...so the most recently added bookmark is the first option I see. Is there a way to achieve? Thanks in advance!
