Did Firefox Support Forum go back to its previous version within the last few hours, or did it just happen to me? This can be deleted once I get an answer, but I'm asking, because I had a long-running thread on the other forum and need to know if I need to repost my problem I was working on. For instance, this was my most recent crash:

Lately, when I click on Macys website, I do not get pictures to look at the merchandise. What I do get is a list of all their departments on the left side of my screen. I do not know what happened. Even if I click on a certain item on their "list" it doesn't do any good.....nothing pops up on the screen.

Pages do not display properly and are difficult or impossible to read only in FF. This is a regular problem on many sites, not just this one.

In this particular page, FF displays black text on a very dark gray background. I just checked it in IE, Chrome, Opera, and Safari for Windows and they all show white text, making it readable.

This is obviously a problem with the way FF displays pages and ONLY FF.

Using Vista but that should not be an issue. All the other browsers checked show the page properly.

I see several cookies in the CCleaner cookies windows that I can't find anywhere else. These cookies do not appear in the cookies list under Firefox Settings, and Firefox is the only browser I use.

Some examples are connect.facebook.net, cdnjs.cloudfare.com, and login.wikimedia.org, and these cookies keep coming back after cleaning them up even though I haven't visited those sites and have 3rd-party cookies blocked in Firefox except from visited sites. Notice in the attached image that these cookies are listed in CCleaner, but they aren't listed in Firefox Settings.

Can anyone tell me where these cookies are stored and why I can't see them in Firefox Settings?

Firefox does not play online videos that are "powered by JW Player 7.11.1". They get stuck on a "Loading ad" screen that goes on forever. Doesn't happen in IE. No adblocker installed. And yes, I am in Germany, so the content should be accessible to me. All other web video content that is not "powered by JW Player 7.11.1" (BBC, CNN, ABC, YouTube, ...) works fine. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

I recently had my hard drive fail, necessitating a new hard drive being put into my computer. When I went to reinstall Firefox version 52, I noticed that Classic Theme Restorer is not coming up in the extension and add on searches. Was this removed for some reason? And if so, is it possible to restore it?

I have an Asus G60JX Laptop with Windows 10 LTSB that I'm currently running FF 52.0.1 32bit. This version allows me to run JAVA and the only reason I need Java, is so I can deposit checks online at my bank. When running Windows 7 I was able to run the latest FF 64bit version with not much issues, but with W 10 the latest version runs for a few minutes while my cooling fan scrolls up and then the PC goes into thermal shut down. I changed an MS thermal driver to an ASUS one and while that did a lot of good I still have this issue. Is there a way to limit the latest FF resource or hardware needs to allow it to run without it driving my Laptop in to thermal shut down?

Using Windows Vista. It happens many times. It becomes impossible to open any link. Nothing happens. Then closing Firefox a process remains. Using "end process" in task manager does not kill it and there is no message. Core dump from task manager attached.

For the last couple of weeks (possibly since Firefox 52.4.0 was released) the CPU usage has been 90-99% when browsing. Sometimes when I open another tab I get a second version of Firefox showing in processes in task manager. I have had the high CPU usage before but it went away. I'm using Windows XP service pack 3. I did read about Firefox stopping plug-ins from v52 - I still have the following plug-ins: OpenH264 video codec Shockwave Flash 27.0 Adobe Acrobat 11.0.8 (showing as 'vulnerable and should be updated') Microsoft DRM (2 of these - Netscape plugin and network object) canon image gateway mycamera plug-in windows media player plug-in dynamic link library windows presentation foundation for mozilla. I'm not sure what most of these do or if they're needed! I'm using Sky Broadband speed approx 7mb which is what it's always been. Also Panda free anti-virus. Any ideas gratefully received as this is driving us mad!

Firefox and my I.E. 11 Browsers are both very slow most of the time & getting slower. Firefox is very slow to open, hangs, won't respond for a few seconds, etc. I also see a message at times, right above address bar that reads "Mozilla Firefox (not responding)". I have done a refresh of Firefox, started in safe mode, etc. with no increase in performance. I've also cleaned the S.S.D. (solid state drive) (disk cleanup). Please help!

I've been using Password Exporter by Justin Scott for some years now, and with the release of Quantum is completely breaks the addon. I don't know if Justin is working on it anymore, but there's been no sign of any update or update info from him.

I actually downgraded back to the last known version that worked with his addon because there's nothing like it anywhere (that I can find) on the addon marketplace. Same goes for a few of my other addons, but those are not as detrimental as the Password Exporter. The level of usefulness and intuitiveness has not been matched by anything else. So while I hope that Justin does update it, I am not holding my breath.

Does anyone know of a alternative to this addon that works with Quantum?

When I sign in there is an "avatar" I have had for many years. Today, when I sign in it has changed and this is not a change I initiated. I want to know why it changed. Did mozilla make a change? Was I hacked? what?? How do I put things back? Can't share image becuse it's gone...

I am thinking that when Firefox updated to 57.0 it did not install it self in the appropriate files or file [in program files (x86) to be specific.] Though it is working and I am able to use it, there is something that isn't write.

Prior to the update (57.0) If I opened Task Manager I would see the Apps or Programs open (running,) one of them being Firefox. Now what i am seeing is the Firefox program (57.0.1) with 7 sub-firefox programs running.

I also notice that when I open my Windows Defender Firewall to view (or verify) that Windows hasn't manipulated my settings to allow certain programs threw my firewall that it wants me to run but I don't want. I noticed that Firefox now shows the file being used is "Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox) rather then how it was show before as just Firefox (or something like that) . . I just now it was the Firefox from my [C:\Program Files (x86)] and now it isn't.

I am using Windows 10 (whatever present updated version) 64 - bit operating system blah, blah . . .

Could it be possible that for what ever reason Firefox updated to the 64 Developer version?

Windows 2008 with service pack 2 which is Vista based will be supported until.

Main support ended in 2015 while extended support will be ended in 2020.

The only video that will play is youtube. All others, Fox News, Townhall, Amazon [on product page, not Prime video], etc, do not play. I have done all that is available in the help section, none of it worked. Error "invalid mime type" From CBS OS - Windows XP SP3 Firefox ESR 52.9.0 (32-bit)

Some of my addons got disabled on May 3 & Forecast Fox and Adblock Plus got deleted. The disabled addons still have not been reenabled and I am unable to download Forecast Fox and Adblock Plus. I'm still running Windows XP & don't know if there's a more recent version of Firefox I can install.
