Firefox is crashing or closing unexpectedly
I'm using vista and I'm running FireFox 3.6.6. I downloaded the newest update from adobe along with the plug-in from FireFox. After doing this every time I visit a website like youtube.com, FireFox will crash and will not respond at all and has to be closed with the task manager. I have gone to Tools>add-ons>Plugins, where I only have one "shockwave flash" player, so its not a problem with the older player not allowing the newer player to work. I cannot provide any Crash ID(s) due to the pages completely crashing and having to be forced closed.

Few days ago only Fire fox decides by itselft to change the window border from black to light blue !!! It is very boring because it is only Fire Fox that is acting like that. I want to use it with black borders. Every time, I need to close Fire Fox to start using with normal colors... and sudenly, its changes again from black to blue... Please help.

When watching full screen video in firefox the picture freezes and the audio continues streaming. I had at first thought this was limited to netflix but now see the same problem when viewing flash video sites. Once the picture freezes the computer has to be rebooted. This only happens in firefox. Explorer streams perfectly in fullscreen. The problem began after updating to firefox 3.6 as I had no problems prior to that.

I am just trying to reach the Netflix site, not to watch movies. I just discovered that I can get to Netflix through Internet Explorer, but not through Firefox. I'm a long-time Firefox user. Suddenly, it's become so slow that I can't use it, even for simple browsing. Videos play but are so delayed and choppy that they are unwatchable. When Firefox is open, it slows down other applications as well. I've noticed that Plug-In Container uses a lot of memory, so I followed suggestions in https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/657035, including disabling plug-ins and installing only the latest version of Java (6.0.21), but there's been no improvement. I would appreciate any suggestions. Also, are Firefox developers working on this issue? If so, is there an estimate of when the problem might be resolved? Thank you.

There seems to be a problem with Firefox rendering the "Lucida Sans" font. It doesn't seem to be able to find the regular or normal weight font and renders it instead in bold.
I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 (essentially Windows7).
I have tried reinstalling all of the Lucida Sans fonts in the font directory from another Windows Server 2008 R2 computer and that makes no difference in how the fonts are rendered.
If anyone could provide me with some help I would greatly appreciate it!

I just upgraded to 3.6.6 & since then have been having multiple problems. 1) 3.6.6 takes a LONG time to load or hangs 2) As recommended Flash plugin updated to Flash 10.1. Subsequently Flash doesn't work. All I get when I use Firefox on any site is the F in a circle that indicates that flash is necessary to display the page. I have no problems with Flash on Google Chrome. 3) Java Console having issues. When 3.6.6 opens it says Java Console must be updated. So I update it. Then when it opens it says it's not supported & needs to be removed. Each time it wants me to restart Firefox to complete the task. If I say restart later cause I'm sick of opening & Closing again & again it pops up every 5-10 minutes & asks again. Please HELP!! 4) PDF files will not open since upgrade to 3.6.6. Having no issues with Google Chrome. It opens in miliseconds & runs everything but I prefer Firefox if it can be gotten to work right. Desperately need help.
