Yesterday, something went wrong in my Windows 11 desktop (I have a virus program installed). One of the casualties involved corrupting Firefox (it would not open). I reinstalled Firefox without removing the old version. Now I have a new installation but all my bookmarks and other data are missing. There is a folder on my desktop labelled as "Old Firefox data". It is possible to restore Firefox to a previous time (a day ago)? Thank you.

Today my Firefox browser updated & all my bookmarks have disappeared. In place of my Bookmark toolbar is just "For quick access, placeyour bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. Manage bookmarks(link). The bookmarks side bar is empty. I've followed the instructions to try to recover them but the page(Goes there from the "Manage Bookmarks" link) they send me to has no functionality. Whatever I enter goes nowhere, whatever I select. I've tried several different routes from the support/help pages to resolve but always end up at this dumb page. How do I get my bookmarks back when the tools to do so don't seem to want to work?

I bought a new pc and synced firefox with my old pc to transfer all my tabs and accounts. The new pc died within a day and i will have to return it to the manufacturer GMKTEC, the problem i have is all my accounts Ebay, Amazon etc are on it as well as my medical data. Is there something i can do with firefox to stop this information being looked at or used.

Hi, I want to sync firefox. between my mac book pro and mac air. THe instructions I find on the web don't work. I don't see a sync and save date choice in my menu

Why does Mozilla say insane things like put your passwords in a safe place? Mozilla just today made mine disappear. Can the morons at Mozilla understand the problems this has caused? I am through with sitting before this machine trying to get thru this B S ! Want to help now? Give me my G D password manager back... Safe... what a D joke.

I have hundreds of bookmarks imported from Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox on older computers. Many of the bookmarks are duplicates, and many located in different, misnamed sub-folders should be moved to more relevant folders.

The bookmark manager is not the easiest tool to use for reorganizing bookmarks because the Results Detail section changes its focus each time a bookmark file is dragged to a different folder or sub-folder. This forces the user to bounce back and forth in the Bookmark Manager in attempts to find the sub-folder they cleaning up.

If the contents of the Bookmark Manager could be downloaded as a CSV file or spreadsheet; more query tools could be implemented to reorganize the data. Once that is accomplished; the Bookmark Manager could be purged and the organized data could be reinstalled. That would make the Bookmark Manager operate more efficiently and therefore more quickly.

when attempting to move Firefox bookmarks to my new computer, I click import data within the Firefox page. The computer asks me to select the file. I have no idea where the bookmarks reside and cannot find a file. What is the procedure to get this done?

bold text I want to recover my account just as it was one week ago. My computer crashed a few days ago and I am having a night mare getting all my accounts reentered. I am a 77 year old senior citizen and some of the instructions are just too complicated for me. I appreciate all your help. I love my account and I am lost without it. When i upgraded Firefox my old profile doesn't show up now. I found my old profile under about:profiles but when i click on the Launch profile in new browser i get this message, "You've launched an older version of Firefox. Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history already saved to an existing Firefox profile. To protect your information, create a new profile for this installation of Firefox" I did create a new profile but how do i get my old saved data, add ons etc to the new profile?
