Hello, I personally dislike the new address bar (also known as Megabar), mainly because it is enlarged without any user intervention, even if I only want to open a bookmark without typing anything in there.

Is there a setting in about:config to disable focus in the address bar for new tabs? Thanks.

I urgently ;-) need a shortcut to switch between open browser windows. It seems to be one of the basic ones, but is nowhere to be found.

Solutions using Tilde do not work for me becuse it's not available on my Apple keyboard.

Why not use Command +< or Command + > respectively, like many other apps do?

And why not at least let me configure that in a simple fashion myself???

My hide tab bar with one tab code has broken with 76. The tabs themselves remain collapsed, but the bar remains. Here's my userChrome file:

I had Firefox opened in a main windows with maybe 50 tabs of tabs I wanted to look at (documentaries, stand-up shows, stuff from work etc). I opened a second window and while navigating in the second window I mistakenly close the main. As one does, I hit Open recently closed window. Guess what? Firefox opens a window from yesterday and a few more empty ones, but not the one I just closed. Can someone help me with this?

I know this might be a strange question, but I'm completely serious as I've been feeling soooo much anxiety around it.

I need to download a couple hundred individual files.

My basic question is this: How can I verify that the files I download are 100% completed?

Is there any way for me to be 100% certain that the files I've downloaded have been successfully downloaded?

I'd really appreciate any advice.

I have searched every support post that has anything remotely to do with my problem. I have tried booting in safe mode, downloading Firefox ESR and performing folder acrobatics with key3 and key4 files, I have disabled my anti-virus software. To no avail.

This morning, I was forced to log back in to my Firefox Browser "due to security reasons" and when I did all of my logins and passwords were gone. if I go to about:protections and scroll to the bottom of the page, Firefox Lockwise tells me that I have 158 passwords saved securely. But if I go to Logins & Passwords, there are only the 5 passwords that I have saved today since the issue began.

I don't really know how to describe my problem. I hope the picture will be more descriptive than my words. I paid for a premium access and now it does not work as seen in the picture: it's just blank.

When I download a file (eg. a debian binary package) and click to open it from Firefox' download tab, it doesn't use the system default application (here, Ark instead of QApt)

Can't print documents on sites, computer gores to c:\user........over and over producing many tabs - only way to stop it is to exit the app. Don't have this problem with other browsers.

I have several folders set up in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder, so they display nicely on the toolbar. However lately they stopped working - if I click it once after starting Firefox, it'll open. But if I try to click a second time, it no longer opens, and just remains in a "highlighted" state. Any reason why it's happening? In the screenshot you can see what it looks like after the "Current" folder is clicked.

The folders are accessible fine if I go to Bookmarks menu item and navigate from there.

One of the biggest problems with Firefox is that it is a resource hog. The cache is set to a 1 GB (1048576 KB) in about:config. There are multiple suggestions for resolving this in Mozilla support. However, none of them work. Any changes made, disappear the moment Firefox is closed. Does anyone have a solution that is relevant to Firefox 76.

I'm the sort of person who deletes his cache and history after EVERY session, running spyware and virus scanners every night.

Halfway through using the browser yesterday when several (not all) pages began appearing as they do in the attached photos. As shown with the two LinkedIn examples, reloading would sometimes get the page itself back up, but images (avatars) and embedded media won't show up.

I hadn't changed any settings before this started happening. I thought it might be an add-on/extension problem, but I have all the same ones in Opera and everything is showing up fine there.

How do I login to my Firefox account? How can there be 2885 results to this question? I would like to be able to login to all things Firefox with one ID and Password.

When I right click and select from menu or tap on a drop-down menu and choose what I want, browser freezes for about 10-15 seconds before resuming the action.

This has been going on for several weeks and I cannot figure out why.

Super annoying

Windows 10 user. When I try to print a page to PDF, it does not include all information from the page. Sometimes it shifts the text around and is overlapping. If I print a page to PDF from Internet Explorer, the PDF is created properly and with all the information.

I have updated FF every time a new version comes out. I'm on FF 76.0.1 for MacOS.

Several websites "warn" me that I'm on an unsupported version of FF, and to update to the newest version. Some sites won't even let me continue, but only give me the option to close the tab, or go to the Mozilla site to download the newest version.

I've seen the response to a Windows user with the similar problem, and have gone through all the steps of checking general.useragent.compatMode.firefox and it's set to "false" and none of the settings needed to be changed. I also checked the privacy.resistFingerprinting and it is set to "false".

I'm tired of websites thinking I'm using FF 56, when I'm using FF 76.0.1!! MacBook Pro mid-2014, OSX 10.14.6 Mojave, 16 GB RAM DDR3, 2.8GHz Intel Core i7, Firefox 76.0.1 (64-bit).

Installed plugins include Shockwave Flash as noted, but there are a few websites I use for work that stubbornly still require Flash :(

When I try to update my firefox installation on ubuntu, if just downloads a .bz2 file, but there is no application to open it with. How do I open it ? Do I use the archiver in ubuntu ? Is there any particular script in the archive that I should run for update rather than for fresh install ?

Used to be able to move a tab into a different window by dragging it there. No longer works (Win 7, FF75 and now 76) despite your help article that says to do just this--so how can I do this? I'm trying to consolidate a bunch of tabs currently in their own windows, into just one window which will hold all the tabs on a related subject.
