Hello there.

I'm wondering how I can add favicons for custom search engines displayed in URL bar. I think there was a way to manually set favicons for search engines via manipulating a data file in Firefox folder (using a website) but I can't find where I can do it. I do have favicon files, so what I need to know is what method I can configure the setting.

Thanks for your help in advance, and excuse me for my bad English.

Best, Tobaccure

Adding Ukrainian Language to Built-in Web Page Translation Tool

Dear Mozilla Firefox Developers, I am writing to request that you consider adding Ukrainian language support to Firefox's built-in web page translation tool. The Problem Currently, Firefox lacks the ability to translate web pages into Ukrainian. Ukrainian is not available in the list of supported languages for translation, and users have no way to add it manually through browser settings. Why This Matters

Large user base: Ukrainian is the native language of over 40 million people worldwide Information accessibility: Many Ukrainian users need to translate English and other foreign language content Competitiveness: Other browsers (such as Google Chrome) already support translation into Ukrainian Inclusivity: Adding Ukrainian language would make Firefox more accessible to Ukrainian-speaking users Injustice of current situation: Firefox includes Russian language - the language of an aggressor country that is waging war against Ukraine, bombing civilians, and occupying Ukrainian territories. Meanwhile, the language of the heroic Ukrainian people, who are defending their independence and democratic values, remains unavailable in the browser

Technical Feasibility Mozilla Firefox uses its own Firefox Translations tool based on machine learning technology. Given that quality machine translation systems for Ukrainian already exist (Google Translate, DeepL, and others), technical implementation of this feature is entirely feasible. Important note: If Firefox already supports Russian language, then adding Ukrainian should not present significant technical challenges, as both languages belong to the Slavic group and have similar linguistic characteristics. This makes the absence of Ukrainian even more puzzling. Our Request We ask you to consider:

Adding Ukrainian to the list of supported translation languages Ensuring quality translation from major European languages (English, German, French, Spanish, etc.) into Ukrainian Providing the ability to translate from Ukrainian into other languages

Benefits for Mozilla Adding Ukrainian language support would:

Expand Firefox's audience in Ukraine and among the Ukrainian diaspora Increase loyalty among existing users Demonstrate Mozilla's commitment to linguistic diversity and inclusivity Strengthen Firefox's market position in the region Show support for democratic values: Adding the language of people defending freedom and democracy would be positively received by the international community Make a morally correct decision: At a time when Ukraine is heroically resisting aggression, supporting the Ukrainian language would be an act of solidarity with the Ukrainian people

Alternative Solutions If full integration of Ukrainian requires significant resources, please consider:

Partnering with Ukrainian tech companies to develop a translation module Creating an API for integrating external translation services Adding an option to select external translation services in settings

Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your work in creating a better internet experience for all users. With respect and hope for a positive decision, useronelex!

Why add something has has no benefit and leaves one wondering why?

Thank you for your time on this issue, greatly appreciated.

I updated (latest Firefox for desktop, but feels like I downgraded) and now my home shortcuts seem to have 4 acres of land (padding), each! Mozilla must think my shortcuts are thinking of starting their own space program or something.

Mozilla needs to stop doing these little things, and just leave them as options. Annoying to have to look through the terrible list to find what they changed. It's why I disabled updates in the first place. Too many changes by someone that doesn't physically interact with people in the real world.

Mozilla makes me mad how poor their design changes are. - Bad Mozilla.

Updated recently from (I believe) 138.04 to 139.0.1, and immediately noticed that the size of font (and icons) had changed in the folders I have in the bookmark toolbar, that is they are much smaller and thus also less space between. Why this, and is it possible to change the size, without changing something else?

It's possible that many don't have folders in the toolbar and thus don't notice, but I have 2-3 apart from bookmarks.

I remember a change many versions ago that increased the space between entries in the bookmark menu, and also in the bookmark toolbar folders. That was too much and I found a setting [in config] that could be changed to decrease the space back then. (I haven't looked for that solution now, probably have some doc somewhere, and won't bother searching since this is different. Same with this case; I did some quick initial search but found next to nothing and older. BTW, this is one of the downsides of changes like these and similar; the day you have too move to another OS version, i.e. reinstall everything you also have to keep documentation of all these little changes, apart from all the other things you'll have to export or save.)

I entered the URL into the exceptions in the Enhanced Tracking Protection settings but that did not change anything. Only turning off Clear URL will allow me to log in using Firefox

Some time ago, for some reason, whenever I opened google search or any tab, Firefox automatically directed me to Offidocs. Because of the confusion and inconvenience, after several online searches, I disabled PDF Editor online in extensions, without realizing any possible implications. I assumed that I can restore/enable PDF Editor online if and when I need it. Only when I tried to do so, I noticed the message "This extension is blocked for violating Mozilla's policies and has been disabled". I am unable to figure out which Mozilla policy I may have violated and for what reason.

Please advise me how to resolve this issue and how to enable PDF Editor online. I would like to use this facility as a matter of urgency. I would really appreciate any help.

Thank you.
