I just had to reinstall firefox today, and now my bookmarks sidebar is on the right of the browser window. I want it back on the left side where it belongs, but I can't find any instructions on how to do that. I really don't like this. Am I going to need to just switch browsers altogether, or can I get my old firefox setup back?

Hello:FF dev 156.0b3 sept 2026. w11p. Is there a simple way to reduce the number of items/cut back the list of items appearing in the context menu (R mouse button)? A 6-yr-old post on reddit says to use userchrome.css. This advice may no longer work? And the instructions seem a little confusing to me. Thank you.

The autocomplete dropdowns for form fields have recently changed appearance, and I strongly prefer the previous, simple design.

The new version has:

• Clock icons next to autocomplete/history entries
• Much more vertical padding, making the list unnecessarily large
• Rounded "pill-shaped" highlighting when hovering over an entry

The previous autocomplete list was much more compact and clean, without the clock icons, excessive padding or rounded hover backgrounds.

Is there currently a setting, `about:config` preference or other supported way to restore the old autocomplete list appearance?

Ideally, I would like to use the previous style:

• No clock icons
• Compact rows with the previous amount of padding
• No rounded/pill-shaped hover effect
• Otherwise retain the existing autocomplete functionality

If there is no setting to restore the old appearance, could an option be added to allow users to choose between the old and new autocomplete UI?

My browser window (not my private browser window, however, is starting to show text in web pages as a reverse Hebrew font. I can't figure out why. Translations are turned off and it happens on a lot of different sites. There is a screenshot attached. How can I make it stop!!!

This is absolutely driving me out of my mind, I no longer have a tiny drag space above my tabs- when I 'customizem toolbar' and try to add a flexible space above them, I can't. The only solution is to constantly have the menu bar turned on, and at that point I'd just opt out of FF. I cannot figure out why this happened, and I cannot seem to fix it- please help me

when I move the mouse to the top of the screen in full screen the bar thing shows up, this has caused issues and I want it to not do that, please tell me how to disable this

Since the latest update, the findbar is not displaying for me. I hit ctrl+f and I can type a word and it will highlight on the page, but I can't see the findbar itself.

In my about:config, the only modified findbar preferences I have modified are:

userchrome.floating-findbar-on-right userchrome.floating-findbar-on-right.enabled

I have tried changing them from true to false, but it doesn't fix the issue.

Coming from Vivaldi, and prior to that Opera Presto. I wonder if there is a way to customize the sidebar to get the bookmark folder to "Expand on hover", or to expand the sidebar button to a few pixels on the entire left side, and keep the tabs on top?

I know this was possible last time I used FF, maybe 10 years ago between Presto and Vivaldi. But I don’t remember if it was a browser config or add-on!?

I have just reopened my Firefox and have found that recent changes have suddenly put my tabs right at the top of the window - initially very confusing because I feared that I had lost them. I would like to put them back where I find them easier to work with, how can I do that?

Firefox v154.0.1 macOS v26.6.2

I have zoom set at 170% for web pages but I'm unable to do the same for bookmarks and tabs. Is there a setting that I have missed which does increase their size?
