OS - LinuxLite 6.4 fully updated as of this writing FF - 117.0

I just created a new installation of LinuxLite. Upon finding that Firefox was no longer the default browser I installed it. Apparently snapd is a pre-req and it too was installed. The installer does not automatically create a link to launch it and I have to do a search for FF. When I launch it, it seems to run fine. However when I try to restore my bookmarks from a recently created backup, which came from another system, I cannot. From bookmark manager when I select restore and then choose file, nothing happens. No popup window to select the file appears. Likewise when I try to import from an HTML file and choose file, again nothing happens. I imported the bookmarks to Chrome from the HTML file then tried to have FF import from another browser but FF says it can find NO other browser with bookmark, history or password data. Any suggestions?

Where does my app store its bookmarks. I had a vital folder vanish from my bookmarks toolbar & I don't know where to direct TimeMachine to look for it. (Admin's/me library is visible with the Funter Utility) Thanx in advance

I have exported bookmarks in XML en went on a well deserved vacation. At my holiday address I found out that there is no possibility to import the created XML-file.

It doesn't make sense that Firefox only supports the export, not the import!

What to do now?

I imported my bookmarks from chrome and there are thousands of bookmark folders. I wish to delete multiple folders at one time. All the answers I have found online do not seem to work. Is there a way in managing bookmarks to select and delete multiple "FOLDERS" at one time? TIA.

Where did the Show sidebars button go? I have a new computer set up with Windows 11 and that button along with the View history, saved bookmarks, and more button do not appear like they do on Firefox with Windows 10. Can you help getting those buttons, the Show sidebars button is really useful. Thanks, Glenn

I guess I don't know how to frame the problem.

I want to access a bookmark but it appears that the box on the left of the screen is full, or at least at the limit the box can display.

So far posing a question to help is futile.

All I want to do is be able to access all of my bookmarks.

I have no index.dat file in my ssd as I think that one is the one that got deleted and all my bookmarks and tabs and backups are gone is there any hope at all? ;-; Please help I had so much.

What is wrong with my settings?? The link is OK and should open! I have the similar foult also with some other links. But generally it works.

Today I was visiting webpages and I wanted to add some to my organized library of bookmarks and I cannot drag and drop them anymore. I also tried to move a folder and that too does not work? What on earth is going on?

When I try to access APS website here in Phoenix AZ I get an error telling me that Firefox is not redirected and suggests that cookies are not enabeled. Please advise

I had issues with latest releases (116.x) so I wanted to return to 115. Therefore I uninstalled the existing Firefox applications both on my phone and PC. Before uninstall I synced my bookmarks. After I reinstalled the earlier release and signed in to my account I was not able to see my bookmarks. Neither my phone and my app... Is it possible to get bookmarks back from a specific date from Sync? I am not able to restore my profile on my PC because I deleted the folder...

Don't know what happened but previously when I wanted to bookmark a page I would get the option of selecting a final destination from within my "Favorites" folder. Now I just get the option to send it to my "Favorites" without a final destination.

had stroke in dec in 2022, so brains working bit slow, i have a massive blackboard next to pc for passwords, since dec i have been forgetting a lot of passwords, including firefox, then they set the new recovery password, (great idea ,until we get fingerprint scanners lol) exept i wrote it on board in yellow marker (only one to hand) and forgot to underline no,s so im left with a key that prob has 4 or 5 mistakes, my bookmarks are realy important to me as they have all my shortcuts from over 15 years, in mid august my isp changed servers and i lost all of my websites, including databases and apps in both android and apple store, it even took me 5 weeks to even gain access to my account, just recovered from cancer (cancer free now thankyou) i also lost a drive on pc with backups of website and encryption keys to apps, so 15 years of work vanished, but when you beat the c, these are minor bumps, but now i cant access my original firefox so this is new one, all my emails and phone no has not changed, can someone please help me regain my firefox please

I AM SCREAMING RIGHT NOW. Apologies. Countless bookmarks I've saved over years, including important articles, University work and bookmarks relating to my job have all disappeared. Firefox told me to install their latest update, and now my bookmarks are gone WHAT THE FRICK CAN I DO??? Obviously I'm incredibly thick, but I'm pretty sure that Firefox is the problem here. PLEASE HELP Thankyou

I have cleared cookies and cache.

I have reloaded bookmark above.

Outlook works in other browsers.
