I think I may be set to private browsing, because websites aren't remembering my computer, and I have to have codes texted every time I try to log in. Cookies are on, but it's still happening, and it's maddening, as I'm a freelance bookkeeper and have to be able to login to multiple sites, and have to coordinate with the client every time I'm forced to get a new code.

Please help, this is negatively impacting my work.

Can I install the latest Firefox on my Windows Server 2008 r2, or do I have to worry about compatibility issues? Is there a specific Firefox version for my OS? Thanks in advance for the help.

I've been using Firefox to store logins and passwords and manage bookmarks on one computer for 10 years+. I always just opened a browser, clicked "tools" then went to my saved passwords. Today I got a new computer and wanted to sync with my Firefox from the old computer. The old computer is asking for a Firefox password, which I don't have (I've tried everything I can think of but I set it 10 years ago). I searched for help online and tried setting a "Master Password." Now, despite entering the EXACT password I selected, it is saying it's wrong and I'm locked out of all of my saved logins on the original computer as well.

I have a secondary email but nothing seems to generate a recovery email (yes, I am stupid and didn't enable recovery key and now I cannot do it because I don't have the password). Is there any way for me to get back into my saved logins? I am using the old computer to work from home and cannot complete any work now. The company sent me a brand new laptop, but all of my logins and passwords are on the old computer tha now wants a master password.

I try to add the two-step-authentication to my account, but when I scan the QR-code and enter the generated security code I get the error message "two-step-authentication required"; so it tells me I have to enable two-step-authentication before I can enable two-step-authentication?

I urgently ;-) need a shortcut to switch between open browser windows. It seems to be one of the basic ones, but is nowhere to be found.

Solutions using Tilde do not work for me becuse it's not available on my Apple keyboard.

Why not use Command +< or Command + > respectively, like many other apps do?

And why not at least let me configure that in a simple fashion myself???

I downloaded the recommended update by Firefox for our browser. Apparently, I inadvertently did not carry the passwords over in the application or something. I am so upset with myself because I no longer have any passwords. I chose Firefox many years ago for the convenience of having our many passwords securely and readily available. Now I have nothing! All our financial and medical accounts have passwords and I can no longer get them. PLEASE HELP

I still am unable to get my Firefox profile password. I don't remember and I cant sign on. I am using Firefox as my search engine but I cannot update nor organize my bookmarks because I don't have my password for the Firefox account. I'm almost ready to give Firefox the boot!!! PLEASE HELP

I was watching videos on youtube using FF earlier on today and there wasn't a problem, but for some reason I'm currently not getting any sound on any website. I'm using a wireless headset and can hear the audio in steam/non-steam games, can talk to friends using discord and can play audio/video files that are stored on my HDD with no audio issues.

Here's what I've checked so far:

- Volume mixer says that FF isn't making any sound, which is odd. - I've turned off hardware acceleration as recommended on another thread, but to no avail. - I've restarted FF and my PC because sometimes it's just that simple. - I've tried other playback devices (computer headphone output, focusrite scarlett solo) and FF won't play through those either. - Just in case someone asks, youtube isn't muted.

I've isolated the problem to FF and considering that I hadn't changed any settings until after the problem occurred (hardware acceleration) I can't for the life of me figure out what might be causing this audio issue. Any help would be appreciated, but until then I'll have to use edge. *shudders*

I just found out my computer has Firefox installed for windows 8. The version is up to date. The problem is that I have windows 10 and have had windows 10 from since I first downloaded Firefox. Do you not have Firefox for windows 10?

How do i stop firefox from annoying me with "Whats new in this update" message? I don't do updates very often because most of the times firefox gets worse after i update, before it gets fixed again. I have that problem on PC and Android phone, so i know its true. The old way over "About config" does no longer apply. The prompt pops up every couple of minutes and annoys the hell out of me. PLEASE HELP ME TO STOP THIS NONSENSE. Thanks

Hello, I personally dislike the new address bar (also known as Megabar), mainly because it is enlarged without any user intervention, even if I only want to open a bookmark without typing anything in there.

Is there a setting in about:config to disable focus in the address bar for new tabs? Thanks.

When I download a file (eg. a debian binary package) and click to open it from Firefox' download tab, it doesn't use the system default application (here, Ark instead of QApt)

I had Firefox opened in a main windows with maybe 50 tabs of tabs I wanted to look at (documentaries, stand-up shows, stuff from work etc). I opened a second window and while navigating in the second window I mistakenly close the main. As one does, I hit Open recently closed window. Guess what? Firefox opens a window from yesterday and a few more empty ones, but not the one I just closed. Can someone help me with this?

I recently had to wipe my laptop and didn't have a chance to back stuff up off it. Thankfully, all my tabs and passwords are synced with Firefox Sync, but alas, I don't remember my password. So I pulled an old laptop I hadn't touched in a couple years, it was still logged in to Firefox Sync -- I could see all my tabs and passwords there. But the password for Firefox Sync itself? Out of date, turns out it's wrong (must've changed it at some point and not updated.)

So now I'm forced to, eventually, reset my password. What to do? Well, it says it will clear all my data (passwords, tabs, etc.) At the same time, since I'm *already logged in* and can view all the data, I'm hoping it would just stay here locally when it gets wiped server-side, and then I could re-sync my tabs and passwords in. Does this work this way?

tl;dr if I'm already logged into Firefox Sync, and reset the password, will I still lose everything?

What happened with the history bar size? It become more than 2 times smaller than it was before. The version of firefox is 76.0.1, all updates disabled because the new url bar makes me sick and i use the latest version where i can disable expanding of the url bar. Are there any ways to fix the size of history bar?

Originally when I accessed outlook it gave me a screen listing all three allowing me to choose which I wished to use. Now when i access outlook it no longer gives me this but takes me straight into henshawpress@outlook.com I now have no way of accessing the other two accounts . How do I get the screen allowing me to choose the account I want? Thanks
