Sometime between 10PM 7/23 and 2 AM 7/24 I deleted my profile by mistake, and all of the data my browser collected has been lost. Passwords, history, cookies, chat logs, etc. No account sync, or official Mozilla profile until now.

Everything is gone and I don't know how to replicate the steps found in this video. Mac's don't conveniently show you things like deleted user data unless you know exactly where to find them. [|https://youtu.be/JWJwmKLqnZs?si=g_g47eHSwoB8XSL5]

I've already tried using Time Machine, but that failed spectacularly.

Current OS is macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, Firefox 153.0 (aarch64)

After the last few updates I have lost all of my bookmarks, I don't understand how this could happen. The bookmarks that currently populate my side bar are either inaccurate or empty. I'm flummoxed and frustrated and angry. Is it possible to recover past bookmarks - say a specific date?

I spent almost an entire day setting up my firefox browser shortcuts, themes and extensions on my laptop. It was exactly how I wanted it. Now it is all gone! I had not written all the web addresses down. how do I get them all back?

Hello, I am requesting assistance recovering my original Firefox profile. My original Firefox installation unexpectedly disappeared from my computer. Believing I needed to reinstall it, I accidentally downloaded Firefox from the wrong source. I was eventually able to recover my Firefox profile, but Firefox repeatedly crashed afterward. To resolve the crashes, I uninstalled Firefox and then downloaded the correct version from Mozilla's website. After installing the correct version, my original Firefox profile is now completely gone. Before this happened, my Firefox profile contained all of my saved passwords, bookmarks, browsing history, and folders, including important folders such as Bills and Jennifer. Those folders are no longer present. I would like to know whether there is any way to recover my original Firefox profile or restore the missing data. I had many work tabs open when I left the office yesterday. The update that occurred overnight closed and erased my current window, and now the "restore previous session" option is not available. These were collected over months, so the general 'history' page is not helpful in this instance. How can I restore my previous session and get all my open tabs back that I had yesterday?

I have tried restoring my bookmarks using these steps but it doesn't work. Specifically, when I try to select "Choose File" in Step 3 nothing happens. The option will highlight, but when I click on it no window to choose a file pops up. Is there any other way to restore bookmarks using a json backup?

My bookmarks list has inexplicably disappeared. It might be related to the fact that I briefly switched to Google Chrome to connect to a Facebook Zoom meeting – although I've done this several times before without any problems. So, what can I do to get my bookmarks list to reappear? I hope it's not too complicated! Thank you for your advice!

Hello, during the last FireFox update a bug happens and make Firefox doing reparation ; after this, my extensions and last session had been lost ; I tried to restore but nothing working, can I cancel the Firefox reparation, thanks for helping Best regards

Why did you remove my Google Email and passwords? Fire fox lost my passwords Google email and other stuff. I may have 1000 or more emails that I can not read!!!!!!!

I opened firefox this morning on my laptop and it froze and shut down. When I opened firefox again it opened as a new window and all of my tabs and tab groups were gone. They do not show up in my history or recently closed tabs. Previous session is shown as current session so no option to restore.

Is there any other way to get these back?

I have two issues: One is figuring out how to remove what FF is storing on my device (an android phone). Clearing the cache does not do it. When I go to the menu, then privacy and security, which on my device is a title of a section, there is no cookie removal option. It is cookies and site data which is kind of annoying. I don't want ALL cookies deleted. I don't want signed out of all sites. I just want the 700 some odd MB's that FF is storing on my device gone. I would like to see what is being stored, and delete what is not necessary or useful. Does anyone know how to do that?

My second issue is that each time I update ff, all of my extensions, bookmarks and passwords disappear and I would like that to stop happening. I would like to know how to recover them. It is time consuming and frustrating to have to redo all of that each time I update ff, and some of it inevitably gets lost.

Hello all, i have a bit off an off one. I had a usb keyboard plugged into my laptop and and it had something sitting on it, I forgot it was there. I was using the laptop normal, and usually i use the CTRL and wheel on my usb mouse to zoom. But because of whatever buttons where pressed.. IT DELETED TABS(quite a few!)more thank the recent closed tabs could handle... i tired to do the session restore thing but im not super tech savy and messed that up.. But i do still have a copy of the json file thingy, but the backup thing got over written.. can i still recover with the one copy. The instructions are not the easiest to understand. Please help, i dont research and its been hard gathering that information. Thanks and if you need any more info just let me know!

About one to 3 weeks after I switched from windows, Fire fox changed my browser, and I lost all of my data. I hate my new browser, I am so mad That I reported this to the FCC. I already view all Info. nothing helped.
