Hi there,

I woke up this morning and opened firefox. Normally it opens the days previous tabs and this morning it didn't. When I tried 'restore recent tabs' it didn't do it. When I went into history and found the previous day's back up and tried to restore it also failed. Can you help?

I find that three or four times a month, the links to all my bookmarks disappear. The bookmark folders and bookmark names are still shown but there are no URLs. If I restore to a few days previously they are work again. Why?

After a usual, recent automatic Firefox update my passwords and other data (bookmarks, history etc) are missing. The update took place around March 4 and on March 10 I used Smart Switch by Samsung to transfer and sinc my phone data on my pc. After this operation I noticed the missing data and all attempts for the various methods to restore data were unsuccessful. Please advice on how to restore passwords etc..

Since the last upgrade I have lost ALL bookmarks, History, everything is gone, Passwords also

I tried loading the old profile god knows what it is called, and there's still nothing

WHY DOESN'T FIREFOX BACKUP EVERYTHING BEFORE FORCING CHANGES

TURNS ME OFF USING FIREFOX.

Yesterday, possibly related to updating to version 148, my profile completely disappaered. My old profiles are not visible under about:profiles, but are present on disk. They can not be imported with firefox -P. How do I get my profile data back?

I have been a user of Firefox for many, many years (it is my default browser) and as of today I am extremely upset with you. Once again I go to use my favorite browser and all my bookmarks have been removed. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SINCE THE NEW YEAR 2026.

I spent a great deal of time putting the bookmarks together that hold all the links to clients and their respective sites, along with all the places I have applied to and was about to apply, and today, again, they have all disappeared.

So, give me a reason to keep using your browser? As of this point, I am going to move to another browser and begin setting up all the bookmarks that I remember ... thanks for what seems to have become a HUGE problem with Firefox and blowing away my bookmarks and making me reset everything.

I have used Firefox when everyone told me to move to another because I believed you were the best at protecting my browsing experience and you didn't disappoint. But these last two times you have removed so much of my time I am at a loss as to why I even bother with you now ... besides, you have removed my Dad's obituary link and I'm not sure I will ever trust you again.

Out of the blue all my bookmarks and passwords disappeared, When I follow your instructions there are no backups in your files. Toolbar is missing and right clicking shows a check mark but no toolbar, I have already switched to Chrome and guess what they have all my bookmarks but no passwords. Passwords are no problem I saved them more so than you backed up your files. I guess it was an update, I don't know. I am 85 years old and have used Firefox a number of those years, probably longer than whoever reads this has has been with us.I guess you know which path I'll be taking from now on. Just thought I would let you know. PS and there will not be anymore automatic updating I'll do it myself I trust me. Stick a fork in me I'm done !

This isn't exactly something that is broken but it is something that is plenty weird and I wondered if anyone has an idea how it happens.

I shut down my Linux laptop one day and when I started it the next day, all my tabs were gone. Annoying, but I spent some time searching for the most important ones and got on with my life.

We have a class picture book that is only accessible by faculty from campus or using the secure VPN. It helps us to learn people's names. It is an HTML file. One day, I needed to look someone up. Ordinarily that would open a new tab in the browser I have running, but it didn't. A whole new Firefox appeared for it and there were all my lost tabs.

Wut?

Now I can use the picture book to alternate between my old tabs and my new ones. How on Earth can this happen? It isn't exactly something that is broken, just something I don't understand.

I had an ongoing problem with Firefox on my PC - it worked correctly on my laptop. So I backed up my bookmarks using MozBackup and re-installed Firefox. This didn't have the Bookmarks bar so I enabled that. When I now try to restore the bookmarks using MozBackup it reports everything ok. But when I open Firefox the bookmarks are not there. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I just made your suggested "reorganisation" of the Firefox Browser with the result that all my hard collation of all my bookmarks, website and passwords are presently gone!!! I can only hope that you have a possibility to recover my datas.

Please advise your instruction to recover my websites, bookmarks etc.

I turned on Firefox this morning and its all changed I have no bookmarks no menu and no search bar I hate this new system Why cant i go back to the previous version ???

So i restarted macbook and when i opened Firefox, my bookmarks were all gone. i read the text about how to restore them but it didnt work and i really need those bookmarks. also i cant add bookmarks, its just not working. hopefully you'll help me with my question, thabk you.
