Firefox’s built-in translation feature actively gets in the user’s way.
When translation is actually needed, it often does not offer the translation function at all.
Google sometimes links to Reddit pages that have been automatically translated into Korean by AI.
That specific page appears in Korean, but when you go back to the Reddit homepage, it appears in English.
However, Firefox’s built-in translator still recognizes the site as a Korean website.
Even though all the page content is in English, the translator incorrectly offers the option “Korean → English” instead of the correct direction.
There needs to be a shortcut or option that always translates “English → Korean” when the user wants it.
Firefox should not decide when to translate or which language to translate. That choice should belong to the user.
Additionally, a dedicated keyboard shortcut for translation is needed.
I used the built-in translator for a while, but the inconvenience became so significant that I gave up and reinstalled a translation add-on.

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the video stutters and drops frames, even at 480p. Audio keeps playing normally. This does not happen in Chrome on the same computer. The issue started about a week ago. I’m using Firefox on Windows 11 on a laptop. Restarting Firefox did not fix it.

I have a local file I wish to view in firefox without starting a HTTP server (it's only docs for a crate I'm building) however Firefox is unable to open the file despite the file existing and having correct permissions. The file was in a separate mount (disk) to where Ffox is installed so I copied to to /tmp/ to remove that as a variable but still no joy..

After checking for updates I will then go to SETTINGS> IT clearly shows that I am running Windows 11 PRO.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY IN PLACES THAT ARE TRACKING ME AND TAKING MY PERSONAL INFORMATI0N, THAT IT SH0WS OR SAYS THAT I am running Windows 10? I often see it if I sign into one of the many different accounts that require 2 factor authentication, which will send me a notification alerting me that someone has signed into my account from a NEW DEVICE. OR FROM AN UNKNOWN DEVICE. That is when they ask if I recognize this login and it shows device and location from which the login attempt is happening. IF I answered honestly, (because it is showing a login attempt happening from a (WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM) and my system shows Me that it is running Windows 11 PR0: it would flag as suspicious and my account would get locked up for sure. Instead, because of the odd hour of the night it occurs, that combined with the location I know it is myself and even though it says "ON A SYSTEM RUNNING WIND0WS 10", I force myself to lie and answer that I do recognize the attempt. Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help?
