In my latest update of Firefox, it has a new sidebar, which I do not want, but cannot get rid of, and is really annoying. Google searches suggest a few ways to get rid of it, but none of them work in my case. Please help me get rid of this new sidebar. Thank you!

I'm trying to update to firefox version 133.0. My O.S. is Ubuntu 20.04. I've untarred the tarball to ~/firefox/firefox-133.0/.

If I startup the new firefox, I receive the following error message: "libxul.so, undefined symbol: gdk_window_show_menu".

I also tried firefox version 120.0, except the result was the same.

How can I fix this?

For the past few weeks when I click into the URL address bar, I get a popup window covering the entire Firefox window (see screenshot). This is really annoying, as I have to escape out of this to get back to the window. It makes more sense just to place the cursor in the URL. Is there a way to disable this? Or is this a bug? Or is it a problem in my installation? I'm running Firefox 133.0 (64-bit). Thank you.

Paypal hangs when transferred from vendor site to complete purchase. Relaunching Firefox in troubleshooting mode resolves issue. Also works with Safari. What's wrong, what needs to be changed?

Hi there, Ok for the website Groove3.com for a while now I have not been able to connect thru ESET Password Manager. For years it has been working fine, I have not changed the password nor have I altered anything else. I have check my computer clock and it is set correctly. I have contacted Groove3 and they are telling me that they CANNOT duplicate the problem. So the bottom line is I need help and I use this website a lot. It seems to be a Firefox issue and a Firefox issue alone.

How the hell do I remove this crappy sidebar!?!?! Your suggestion of tapping the cog and clicking on sidebar button DOESN'T WORK! REMOVE IT! It is annoying, terrible! Why would you mess with something that didn't need to be fixed ? What are you, Jaguar? Remove it now, actually do something and fix it.

Yesterday I was on the Newsmax website. Today Firefox says its not a secure connection and it won't let me go to Newmax.com. I then tried to use the google browser and it went right to Newmax.com no problem. I am using Windows 7 like I have been for years. Please help. Thanks, Al

The camera won't turn on in the Firefox browser for Google Meet or Zoom. It says it can't find the camera or that it's turned off. I have checked my Windows 11 settings and desktop apps have access to the camera. I have also checked the settings for each of the sites and use of the camera and microphone are allowed. Autoplay is enabled too. The camera works fine in other apps and in other browsers.

I hit the wrong key just now, and has taken over my computer before I hit the wrong I turned my computer off/on but this did not help,and can not get to my email to read your email. I had a major failure and had to replace my PC. I still have to old C:\ but using C:\ How can I recover my bookmarks from the "old drive" my password recovery would be a bonus.

I have many, many bookmarks. Every once in a while I save them. My hard drive died. Geek Squad replaced it but where are my bookmarks and passwords? How do I recover them?

As the title states, certain media elements within Firefox refuse to play with audio, but only with frustrating inconsistency. For example, any videos on Youtube are fine. Any videos on Reddit are fine. But many videos, most commonly on boorus and streaming sites I cannot name here, will not play. The volume on the video slider is all the way up, the Firefox application is not muted, the site is not muted, and the tab is not muted. The only thing that makes those videos play audio is if I left click on them to open them in another tab by themselves. While it solves the issue, it's still an extremely inconvenient way to go about my browsing. I know for a fact that this is a Firefox problem because those same videos on those same sites work perfectly fine within other browsers. Please, does anybody know of a solution to this issue?

I'm on OS Windows 11 and the latest version of FF (133). I also use NordVPN; I can access the web via Edge and Chrome with VPN, but for the last month, it doesn't work with FF. What could be the problem?

I just downloaded over a 100 images and created anew bookmarks folder, which I saved them to. I think I have some duplicates,so need to execute a sort on that bookmarks folder, which will place the duplicates next to each other so then I can find and delete the dups.

How do I do this?
