When I open a link in a new window (2 windows are open) and attempt to use reader view, reader view states "cannot complete function".

Shortcut icons (4 rows of them) have disappeared from my Firefox home tab. After a Firefox update, they were gone. Just white boxes. I tried to re-enter shortcut information, but the box always goes back to white and empty. I tried a System Restore. That didn't work either. I depend on these shortcuts for my work and bill paying. Please, someone help me! Thanks!

Hi, I am using Firefox vsn 120 for Linux Mint. I believe that I have the privacy and security set with the default settings.

However, Firefox seems to forget the information stored by websites, so that can't simply login.

Each. And. Every. Time. I have to go through the process of re-introducing myself to the security of the website provider who insists on sending me emails, SMS messages, etc. with codes to confirm who I am.

This applies, every time I use a site that requires a login (bank, BBC, Fidelity, eBay, Facebook....).

Once I have been approved on a site, then my login seems to work for a few days, up to a week and then off we go again with a new set of security codes. My settings do not delete cookies, and firefox is never closed, except if the PC needs a reboot, which is rare.

I would appreciate any help in settings that would allow me to use Firefox normally without having to enter security codes. Cheers, Mark

Firefox crashes when I click on a box in MS Excel (and possibly other MS programs) then move to the browser to paste or not paste. This has been a problem for months now and I've reported this months ago (Oct. 3rd). Does anyone have a fix to this? I've refreshed it and it has been updated (and windows is always up to date too).

I have recently had to reload my laptop. Before I did so I synced all my passwords, bookmarks, history etc. When I have reloaded Firefox onto my device all my data is missing. Please can you help as I need all my passwords and bookmarks for work.

Greetings. Lately, I am unable to log-in to some websites. This has started recently, about a few short weeks ago. The Social Security Administration and Electronic Design (magazine) are just a couple of example. I don't get much information from either of the sites. Electronic Design just replies with unable to log-in The SSA site replies with:

"Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit."

I cleared the cache, and reinstalled the latest version, Firefox 120.0.1, 64 I am on Windows 10 Pro 64, latest update AMD Ryzen 7 8-core 16GB RAM 1TB Samsung m.2 2280 system disk

Note: I have no issue logging in to the SSA website using MS Edge, but I'd rather use Firefox, which has been my default browser since Adam & Eve hit the earth! Your assistance would be appreciated. Thank you. Sam H. Electrical Engineer (248)677-1039

Hi! I am running Firefox on an old MacPro5,1 with MacOS Ventura using Open Core Legacy Patcher. The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630. So overall it's a pretty old setup but everything works fine. However, since day one, I've been having rendering issues with some (not all) videos on Firefox. These videos include some but not all YouTube videos, some embedded animations on websites, and every live stream video. The workaround is pretty straightforward: everything works fine on Safari and Chrome. Still, I am wondering what the issue could be, any help would be appreciated. Attached are two screenshot of what the rendering issues look like.

I just realized that my user agent string is wrong (for instance, it says that I am on OS X 10.15, even though I am on 13.6, not sure if that makes any difference at all.

I have an issue that about:config > browser.link.open_newwindow keeps setting itself to '2', so I have to repeatedly go in and reset it to '3'.

Not entirely sure what could've caused this, all I've been able to find is this here support article with another bloke having the samme issue, but what seemed to be only once.

I haven't done much in way of troubleshooting, as I'm not really sure how to go about doing that for a browser.

If I had to guess, it would be either something updating, or an extension yanking my chain, so here's the list of every extension I have installed:

I use firefox as my browser(I like it the best) I have edge on my computer because I upgraded to windows 10. I really dislike microsoft edge. I recently downloaded a couple of pdf's , in the settings it says that firefox opens the pdf. then I click on the pdf and when it opens it has a button that wants me to put edge as the default reader and so I go to the settings on firefox and it says that firefox is the reader tat opens the pdf but their is no way to make firefox my default pdf. it is really frustrating, as I said I really do not like the edge browser. Is there any way that this is fixed? thank you for your help!

Firefox updates and downloads carry the bing "virus" I got rid of bing by refreshing Firefox Go to add or remove programs, find Firefox in the list Highlight and right click which brings up the uninstall option When you click uninstall, Firefox gives you the option to refresh Refresh, and you're back to Google

On Windows 10

The Firefox "New tab" page shows quick-navigation buttons. At the top right of each button, the 3-dot menu has an Edit option. On the edit dialog is a link "Use a custom image", which then prompts you for a image URL.

I've tried pointing this to images in my Google Photos (a 1024x1024 .JPG), using an open-shareable link, but it doesn't work.

a) What format does the icon image have to be in? b) Are there any limitations on the URL? c) Is there a way to use a locally stored icon image?

When I went to open the vpn file, I got a message saying that it may contain malicious code that may harm my pc? Therefore Ive purchased the monthly payment but as of yet been unwilling to open the file. Also I got vpn in order to watch peacock T.V. as well as NBC and MSNBC Ive no idea how to access these programs in the U.S. as Im in Canada?

When scrolling the print edition of the Wall Street Journal on an iPad (8th gen)the minutest flick of thumb up will return the view to page one. Doesn’t matter which page, it always goes back to page one. Very annoying and doesn’t happen when I’m using Safari nor when viewing other web sites so have to surmise it’s a glitch, setting or specific to the WSJ.

Firefox updated today (11/30/23) to version 120. All of the shortcut icons on my start tab disappeared. I've tried to re-enter but they are not accepted. Please help!! I depended on these shortcuts for my work.
