In web forms that ask for my email address Firefox displays a message 'Manage passwords' instead of displaying me email address. I cannot find a way to disable this irritating feature which means I have to write in my email address every time which in turn increases the likelihood of mistyping my address. I have searched all over the place trying to find an answer but without luck. Can someone tel me how to disable this? Thanks.

Hi, y'all, I used to use the weather on new tab feature a lot until the latest update seems to have taken that feature away? Is this intentional or am I missing something? Hello, my Firefox will not run no matter what I try.
I originally installed Firefox from the Microsoft Store and it worked perfectly for about a week. Then it stopped opening. When attempting to run the app, a loading cursor briefly appears and nothing happens. It is not visible in task manager processes.
Uninstalled and reinstalled several times - no luck.
Installed Firefox directly from website - still doesn't run, but it does pop up with a "crash report" window.
Can anybody help me out?

Long story short (as possible):
Windows 11 Home, Firefox version 135.0, File version 18.5.0.0, Product version 18.05
Opened Firefox first thing as soon as PC was turned on today. Immediately prompted for an update. It's Mozilla/Firefox. I didn't question it. I did the update and it asked me to download a file. "I trust Mozilla. OK". It downloaded a Firefox Installer.exe file. The same as the one I installed back in 2022 when I set up this PC. I noticed it was a duplicate because (1) followed the file name. "Odd, but okay...it's Mozilla/Firefox. I trust it"
Then I tried to use Firefox and no matter what website I tried to go to I got a "Gah. Your tab just crashed" on the page. It had "Restore crashed tabs" options but nothing worked. All led back to "Gah. Your tabs..." Thinking about the same Installer.exe file and its (1), I checked the Firefox update history. Nothing for today. I then opened the Properties of the original 2022 Installer.exe and the one today. All were the same except 1) - the 2022 file is 325KB and the (1) file from today is 364KB, and 2) - under Digital Signatures, the Digest algorithm is "sha1" in the 2022 file and "sha256" in the (2) file from today.
I didn't know this Ask a question/forum was here or I would have inquired here first. Instead I turned to Reddit's Firefox group using my phone before I did anything on my PC. I spec'd out the details of the day and was assured by two people to do a restart of Firefox. So I did. Yup, that seemed to fix the issue. And off I went with the stuff I'd originally had in store for my day. Until I had different/unrelated need to view my Downloads and I see a FireFox Installer(2) that must have crept in when I did the restart. There was no notification/prompt or request to allow. It just showed up and I wouldn't have known about it unless I checked my Downloads folder.
Until someone tells me otherwise, I'm staying off Firefox. Two .exe Installer files downloaded for a simple update? One which I authorized/allowed but the other sneaking in when I restarted Firefox? Not to mention the tabs not loading until I did the restart which if legit needed, Firefox didn't prompt me to do? That doesn't sound like normal Mozilla/Firefox behaviour. None of today's events do.
So...is this fishy like I think it is? Fishy or not, what's the best thing to do? I'm okay with computers but DEFINITELY NOT an expert. Hence me being here and asking what to do. Guidance needed. Help?
I wrote out the OS details and specs of the browser. I think that's all that anyone would need but if I'm wrong, don't hesitate to ask for more.
Thanks folks.

Hi, Up to the most recent update of Firefox I could preview PDFs within a cloud based software, but when I downloaded them they opened up in my default PDF Viewer.
Since the update the preview PDFs in the software just spin and never show, unless I have the setting in Firefox set to "open in Firefox" then I can see them. But if I have that set, then any PDF I try to open or download will open in a new Tab in Firefox, rather than the PDF viewer, and then I have to save it to be able to open it in the PDF viewer.
However, if I change the setting to be "Use Windows Default Application" they open up just fine in the PDF viewer, but the previews in the cloud based software go back to spinning and not opening.
How do I get back to having both things happen, rather than either / or please?
Many thanks for any help offered Best regards Jen

a few months ago firefox started rendering images funky. I am not sure what changed, it seems to be a setting problem as other computers with FF 135 don't seem to do this. I have not been able to come up with the right search terms to describe the problem. here is a screen shot of the issue.
I added my email as a secondary email account and it said that email address already exists. Not sure why

I've noticed that HDR content on YouTube plays at apparently maximum brightness, which is overwhelming. The same video using Google Chrome behaves as expected. For example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xod2xiLA9CM
I'm running FF v135.0 and Chrome v133.0.6943.54. When using Chrome, the video brightness matches system brightness settings on my Macbook Pro (running Sequoia 15.3) but when I use FF, the video itself is incredibly bright, as if the white levels have been maxed out. It seems to be a problem with handling the HDR content. Even stranger, it's as if the browser is able to increase my screen brightness itself, but only in the video pane. I doubt that's actually happening, but that's what appears to happen. If I switch to another tab and then back to the video, it takes a few seconds for the video pane to increase extreme levels.
Also, I tried to take a screenshot of it but the screenshot doesn't show the extreme bright levels that I see when I'm using the browser.

I have an Ancestry subscription. I type www.ancestry.co.uk (which is where I want to go) and it pops up for 2 seconds then flips me to www.ancestry.ca. I live in Canada but my research is in the UK. This doesn't happen in Chrome.
Why would I update the browser if when I do it seems to make it easier for advertisers to jam me with ads. I use adblockers for a reason.

For some reason, I can no longer log into my bank account. This has not been an issue in the past. Does Mozilla offer users any phone support that allows me to review current application settings with a technician to help resolve this issue? If I switch to Chrome, I can log into the account. Please advise. Thank you Mike

few days ago, i was trying to remove unimportant entries from the browsing history section. i discovered that my delete button wasn't working and no entry was being deleted, not even when i was trying to remove using the mouse right side button. at first, i thought the delete button of the keyboard has become faulty. but i found that it was working fine in other apps or parts of the Windows OS. so i tried again removing the entries but couldn't do it. then i closed the firefox browser and reopened it. to my horror, i found that all entries before November in the firefox history section have just disappeared. nothing is there. i felt very much shocked and sad because there were lots of important entries which i have stored for almost two years. now i don't know how to restore my lost history entries. just because of some errors in the firefox program, i have lost my long saved entries. please suggest me how to restore it.

Recently, Firefox has been blocking and/or not loading certain page elements on some websites. Canva and Google Teachable Machine (GTM) are the only site I've noticed having issues as of now, but I assume there may be others. Canva loaded perfectly fine in the past, but recently it has stopped loading the images of most graphics. (See included images) I have disabled all extensions; deleted cache, cookies, and site data; reset firefox to default settings, "Refreshed" firefox (the alternative option given when trying to uninstall it), restarted my PC, ensured firefox is up to date, and ensured my settings do not block cookies. I'm at a loss as to what is causing this issue. Both Canva and GTM display different reasons for content not being displayed, but I have a hunch that their issues are related. I have confirmed these sites load correctly on other browsers. I only experience these issues on firefox (both regular and developer edition). All suggestions and advice are appreciated, Thanks!
