Schwab login has a "remember this site" option but FF always "forgets". How to set FF to actually "remember" a particular website. For instance Schwab.

Searching help finds solution: click "shield" in address bar but that only brings up Pocket which I have no use for at all.

Thank you and many thanks to the good people at FF!

A problem began today and I can't figure out what the issue is. It is not a problem with my laptop, because I was in touch with Apple support. The problem is in Firefox, because I was able to attach files in Safari. I went to a website where I had to upload a file. The popup window had a button to click, Search for File (or something like that). When I clicked on it, my documents folder, the Macintosh HD folder, opened up but disappeared immediately. I saw it but it went away. I thought it was a problem with their website but when I tried to send the file to myself in gmail (using Firefox) so that I could upload the file from my phone, the same thing happened -- I couldn't attach anything to the email. The folder opened and then disappeared immediately. As I say, I called Apple, but when I tried the gmail attachment option in Safari, there was no problem. My Firefox says it's up to date. I closed Firefox and reopened it, but that didn't fix it. I also restarted my computer, but that didn't work either. If anyone has any insights, I'd appreciate it. I would hate to have to stop using Firefox and switch to Safari. Thanks.

I am trying to help a colleague who is trying to use Microsoft Teams join links, but it only opens in the Firefox browser (default). Microsoft Teams support says to select the always allow box.

When I open a Teams link on Firefox, I see a pop up that asks "Always allow— she does not see it. Any idea what may be preventing this? I have "Block pop-up windows" checked on my browser settings, so that can't be the issue. Her browser is up to date. We both have Apple computers.

Appreciate your help with this mystery.

Today I manually download and rename the firefox executable so a script that runs as a Sandbox is spun up is ready to go immediately. But that entails me manually downloading, then renaming the installer to a name that the script always knows. And often the setup file gets updated on the web and I am running the prior version, or older depending on when I went thru that manual process.

So I am back looking for a way to either find a way to download the newest installer each time or find a way to kick off the internal updater right after its currently scripted install completes. Either could work.

I hate having to use Edge as its the browser MS automatically installs when a sandbox is spun up.

Or are there other ideas on how to accomplish this? Thanks, Bill

Hey guys, as the title states I Can’t find any setting to set a default camera or microphone across the whole browser.

Firefox automatically chooses the wrong ones when I live stream. Former chrome user and all chromium based browsers allow you to set a default camera and microphone from a list of the available ones for the browser to automatically choose every time a site accesses them.
I just want to set it to always automatically use my obs virtual camera and always automatically choose my virtual audio cable, persistently. Is there truly no way to adjust this? It is such a basic setting that’s been around forever on the other side. Is there at least some complicated hidden way to adjust this?

When trying to make a banking transfer on Chase.com the date defaults to yesterday and cannot be changed. Therefore I cannot make the desired transfer using Firefox. However, after calling Chase tech support, I found I can make the transfer using Chrome. So it appears there is an issue with Firefox when it comes the calendar function on the Chase website. I'm using a Windows computer.

At least six times, Firefox has hidden my Roboform link. It keeps getting restored, but it disappeared again. The last few days, it encouraged me no less than a dozen times to delete Roboform because it was slowing things down. I exit it, and the same question pops up again.

Lately, Firefox keeps crashing and I lose my tab.

Firefox has become an impediment to my law practice.

In Settings -> General -> Files and Applications -> Applications I have set "Portable Document Format (PDF)" to "Open in Firefox".

Opening the PDF on http://www.spectronicdevices.com/pdf/TCD1205D.pdf displays that exact link in the URL bar and I can read the PDF directly in Firefox. As far as I can tell, the file is not saved on disk. Opening https://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/download/32192/TOSHIBA/TCD1205D.html and entering the 5-digit code opens a new tab that also allows me to read the PDF in Firefox, but the URL bar shows "file:///C:/Users/N/AppData/Local/Temp/TCD1205D.PDF". The file is saved in my temp folder.

How can I configure Firefox to never save PDF and XML files to disk?

I am using Firefox 130.0.1 on Windows 11.

Windows updated my desktop computer this morning and now Firefox doesn't start from the taskbar. When I use run as administrator it runs, but all the tabs say they have crashed and won't restore. I have tried re-downloading Firefox and restarting Windows. If it helps my blue-tooth trackball is also now erratic and not usable. Everything was working fine before the update.
