Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

hi i am unable to use the middle search bar on the firefox screen , i understand that this search bar is a dummy bar, i have been told that to make this bar work you have to alter the settings using about:config process, and changing the handoff from ture to false , to which I have done in the past and it has worked , but for a reason I cannot understand this seems not to work now , i am completely lost now and i am reaching out to the community for help and advise thank you . K.

my account is under [email address] but that is defunct and I can't access it at all. So I can't log in. I can't change to my secondary email which is [email address] Can you help me

Hey, I have a new laptop and want to login to my account. My account is an hotmail.com one. After giving the password Mozilla is suppose to send me an email with an authentification number. The email is not coming. Not in the spam section, anywhere. Tried multiple times, same issue. Add Mozilla to my contact list, nothing changes. Tried to change my Mozilla account email address, not possible as I need to pass through this process again. Is my only option to delete my account and creat a new one with another email address?

I have downloaded this plugin, but I cannot find any advice on how to operate it. I have opened a page (which I have created) rendering part of a high res iiif image, whose whole iiif pyramid is available for viewing. But I cannot find any button that activates the plugin.

The plugin promises "With this addon installed, you will be able to download the highest available resolution for files available on digital libraries compatible with the IIIF protocol."

How can I download the whole high res image?

normally i just click the forefox icon on my taskbar and type claude.ai in the address field but today i was messaged that the claude program needed a mozila account - so I had to set one up. why and still cannot get to Claude

i've been having an issue with back ups(not the problem here) but at one point, i changed a secondary account to the main one, and now when i try to log in, and it sends the verification email to my email account, i never get the emails, so i cant log back in, i dont recieve any of them, checked spam, and every folder i have, not only for that email account, but for all the ones i have connected to my mozilla account and i dont have any emails there, how can i fix this

Using Firevox 142.0.1 on a MacBook Air. I always have "Always ask you where to save files" checked in Preferences, but lately it sometimes fails to ask me. For example, if I try to download a file from Google Drive. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something I can do about it?

Desktop Firefox 147.0.3 (64-bit) When I open Facebook, pictures of accounts are continually blinking (not flickering). This problem is new and appeared just after last Firfeox update.

Hello, I'd like your help. I'd like to disable some unnecessary options from the Firefox right-click menu. 1. Open link in new tab 2. Open link in new container tab 3. Open link in new private window 4. Save link as 5. Copy link I don't need these five options, so I'd like to disable them if possible.

Since version 148.0b2 (64-bit), it's once again not possible to enter search terms in the search box of a new tab; instead, the browser searches in the address bar. I've had all the settings I found in the forums configured correctly for over five years, and they haven't changed. - browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar = False. Despite this, the search still occurs in the address bar. Now I'm back to the awful search in the address bar. How can I fix this? Please fix this bug as soon as possible.

Linux User So. I recently followed a Mozilla guide, previously posted, and something that I did, or changed, I now have a very annoying "profile" name in the title bar. Further to that, I now have an additional menu option called "Profiles", with --"profile --Add Profile

I have never had or seen these items, except when I've moved my profile from an old computer to a new computer, using the console of "firefox -P" command.

It is becoming very annoying as I only have one profile, and I don't want an more.

Question. How to I block the display of 'profile information' ? Thanks

I was trying to remove my credit card information and cancel my yearly subscription to Mozilla Monitor Plus that is due to Renew February 21, 2026 for the amount of $107.88. I could not find a way to delete my payment method and/or cancel my subscription.

I'm on Win10. This morning I see that MSLOP has updated my desktop PC overnight. FF was open before the update and attempted to restart but couldn't restore pages. I told it to start a new session and the PC blue screened. This has happened before so after the PC restarted I shut it down. It blue screened a few times while also trying to restart FF. I shut it down with the power button. FF will not start with troubleshooting (shift while double clicking on FF icon). It crashes and I get the crash window. Latest crash detail is below. What next? Any help is much appreciated.

UPDATE: I went to windows settings, apps, and clicked on uninstall for FF. Immediately a message box, "Would you like to refresh instead?" popped up. Sure, why not? It thought for a while and updated. I logged in again and I am back to a functioning 147.0.3. I logged into my bitwarden extension and ublock origin is still there. No clue what happened earlier.

Since yesterday I cannot log in to my hotmail accounts via Mozilla. It keeps coming up with the message "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in". I select sending a code to an email to try a different way but it doesn't even send the code either so I simply cannot log in

I can log in via Microoft Edge so the issue appears to be with Mozilla but I have no idea what has happened or how to fix it

I love Mozilla so do not want to be forced to use Microsoft Edge :-(
