Hi guys, Yesterday when I found that Firefox was updated and reinstall a new version by itself and the problem is that it deleted all old data (passwords, cookies, preferences...) and I did not find the folder "old firefox data" on my desktop. Is there a way to get back all those data please?

Many Thanks

I have Firefox on two computers. This website works on one, but not the other. Please advise what troubleshooting steps to try next.

https://bannergress.com/banner/self-similar-across-scale-24c4 The box in the upper left should be scrolling to display the whole picture. The problem is with every page of this site; I selected this particular page as an example.

scrolls on this computer: desktop Windows 10 Pro v 20H2 Firefox v 89.0.1

doesn't scroll on this computer: laptop Windows 10 Home v 20H2 Firefox v 89.0.1

What I've tried on the laptop so far (none of these solved the problem):

tried in a private browsing window

tried in Troubleshoot Mode

uninstalled Firefox deleted default profile folder (that was the only profile) deleted profiles.ini reinstalled Firefox

Starting from Firefox 88, and still in Firefox 89, the browser became exceedingly slow. Typing one line of text has a 4-5 seconds delay, and loading pages is even slower. I tried a new start, new user, refresh, etc., without success. Firefox 87 works fine on the same computer but 88 and 89 are annoyingly slow.

I run Firefox on Linux 4.19.0-16-amd64 with Debian 10, windowmanager Xfwm4, displaymanager lightdm

Any help?

Before the update, my bookmarks toolbox was permanently open on the left side of the screen. That was a perfect setup for me, as I use a lot of bookmarklets for time saving on sites I'm on frequently. Since the update, all I have at the top of the screen is Import bookmarks and Most Visited (top left) and Other Bookmarks (top right). I can open Other Bookmarks, and my bookmarklets are there, but clicking one closes the Other Bookmarks folder each and every time. This renders them useless for my purpose. Is there a way to reopen, and KEEP open, my toolbox? I've tried clicking the Keep Open option and selecting done, but that doesn't do what I'm wanting it to do.

How can I turn off the search from the address bar? I have an old FIREFOX HOME Page with Google search bar the middle of the page. I went to type a search in and there were no words being typed; instead, the cursor auto jumped to the address bar and typed the search there. I don't want that! I don't like that! Can it be stopped? Firefox 89.0.1 (64-bit), 06/18/2021

Please help.

When I use firefox on my main display (1920x1080 144h 16:9) in full screen there is a noticeable white line in the bottom, not using full screen fixes it, but a pain in the ass to resize it all the time. I tried using the browser on my secondary smaller display (1920x1080 60h 16:9) and there is no white line. This seems to be a bug, how do i fix it?

hello, in the previous versions of Firefox, it was possible to send an article just by clicking on the three small dots in the address bar, I don't find this possibility to send an article and its url to someone by email, almost with a single click. Is there another way to access this feature that was very interesting? thanks !

Having used Firefox for a decade or more, I have relied on the Restore Previous Session option to open my Firefox and display the same tabs and screens as were displayed when Firefox was closed. That no longer works. You can see in the screenshot below that the option check box is ticked.

This is a fairly recent phenomenon; however, I cannot say for certain when it started. I think it was when the last ver. 88nnn or the first ver 89 were released and installed.

What, if anything, can I do to return Firefox to Restoring Previous Session?

I intentionally set my browser so that I can search from the search box in the center of this page. However, when I start typing in that box I get all kinds of stuff from the address bar blocking the box and what I'm typing. I don't want to search from the address bar, I want to use that search box. How do I get this feature back?

Before, all I had to do was uncheck the box in the second screen shot but that no longer seems to work. What's the new trick or why have the search box if you can't search from it?

Also, after a search, my links always opened in a new tab. That no longer seems to be working that way. I prefer my links open in a new tab in case I want to look at other results while keeping that tab available.

Previously I used to use "Forget This Website" from the History panel to quickly clear the history of a specific website. But it was not deleting it's saved passwords. Now I realize, that when I Forget a Website, it actually does delete the saved passwords too. I am confused now. Was this behavior always like this? can it be that because I have Sync on several devices, the deleted password gets restored somehow? I would like to be able to forget a website without loosing it's login details...

I run FF on both a Windows machine and a MacBook Pro. On the MBP the browser does not save my tabs, despite "restore previous session" being selected. I do not have this problem on the Windows machine.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the browser but it has not made a difference.

I'm running the latest version of the browser and the OS is Big Sur.
