I downloaded Firefox not too long ago to combat the fact the Microsoft Edge wasn't working correctly, but ever since I downloaded Firefox it's been making my computer run really slow on the browser. Things are often slow like scrolling up on and down pages websites like Pinterest, and the text when typing on Google docs takes a moment to show up after I've typed it and not instantly, for example.

I checked my computer's task manager because I recently cleaned the laptop, thinking that something else was causing it to be slow, but it isn't. I don't have many processes open on the computer mainly mandatory things and my browser, since I use my laptop mainly for school work, music, or writing. Firefox opens multiple processes, the highest being 21 at one time, and takes up most of the memory on the laptop. Is this normal? Because it takes 1,094.0 MB and keeps my laptop's memory at 90-91%. If it isn't normal, how can I reduce this as well as the lag on my laptop when Firefox is open?

I attached a photo as well.

Hello team,

I tried searching for a solution for the problem I'm about to describe but unfortunately I wasn't able to move forward.

I am running Firefox 141.0 version on my Macbook M4 Pro. The refresh rate of the display is set to 120Hz, but I the scrolling and interaction in the browser feels like it's on standard 60Hz refresh rate. When I compare it to Safari/Chrome it's not as fluent as it should be.

Am I missing an existing option that could be changed or is it something available at the moment?

Thank you, Arsen

I've been a Firefox user for a very long time with no real problems, but this one may force me to move to Chrome. Recently, I've noticed that some things show up or work in Chrome, but they don't work in Firefox. I've encountered this problem more recently and it seem to be getting worse. Just today, I had a problem with the V.A. and AMC theater websites. Is there a workaround to this problem. It's going to get bad if even the government is using google extensions.

I've found out that you can create custom prompts for the AI sidebar with the configuration `browser.ml.chat.prompts.*`. Usually, this is done with the selection text. However, I'd like to pass the URL instead. I could use `%url%`, but that does not include parameters after `?` and hence does not work for Youtube.

Is there any variable that I can use to pass the full URL including parameters of the URL?

I accidentally refreshed Firefox when I was having problems and didn't realize Refresh meant wiping everything clean. I found another thread about this, but it's 8 years old and things have changed. How do I use the "Old Firefox" folder on my desktop to restore all my bookmarks, history, etc.?

I know that after PiP(Pitcure-in-Picture) is enabled, I can use it in two ways: one is the button on the right side of the address bar, and the other is the icon button floating on the video. I'm trying to figure out how to keep the PiP button on the address bar while hiding the icon button on the video. I do not want to turn off PiP, I just want to hide the icon button on the video. I tried setting it in about:config, but it only seems to have the opposite effect. If it's not possible to achieve what I want, where can I request this feature from Firefox?
