I can sign into YouTube ok, and the pictures of the video's are ok, but whatever I try to watch I get a green screen and just the video sound? It started happening yesterday. I am getting fed up with YouTube and the issues it has with Firefox. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge to watch videos. I've done the 3 resets it says on the support page, but still have the issue. Many thanks for getting back to me.

I have multiple monitors and most often have Firefox windows open on each. Lately, I've been noticing that the Desktop Window Manager process is consuming a huge amount of RAM. At the same time, consumption completely disappears with the closing of Firefox windows. Video: https://i.imgur.com/pHCa7Hh.mp4 (I left it for a while then closed Firefox windows) After a while, I noticed that already 13 GB of memory is being used by DWM. I don't know if sites affect behavior, but most often I have https://music.yandex.ru/home open

OS: Windows 11 (Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.22621.1928]). Firefox: 115.0.1 (64-bit) Screen setup: 1 - 3840 x 2560 with 200% scale, 2 - 1920 x 1080 with 100% scale.

Intermittently (maybe 1/20 times?), when I try to do a Google search from the URL bar I'll get a tab that doesn't load for about 30 seconds. If I search for the exact same thing in another tab it will load instantly, and if I select the url and press enter it will also load instantly. I am seeing this issue both when entering a search and when selecting text and clicking "Search Google for X".

I found a recommendation on a similar issue to set security.tls.enable_0rtt_data = false in about:config but I have seen no change with that setting.

Firefox just turns into a black screen and becomes unusable. It has been happening for a long time now and i have checked RAM and CPU usage and they are all fine, as I explored potential causes.

I will be using firefox and it just turns all black on all screens and is completely unusable. To use it again I have to force close all windows and reopen it and it works again.

This is a frequent issue that I have seen

Hi,

After updating Firefox to 116.0.1 my tabs keep randomly crashing. I get some crash reports *occasionally* - meaning not all crashes produce a crash report - but I'm not sure what to do with them, they seem inconclusive. The last report (not for the last crash, though, which didn't produce any report) is bp-3334b934-58b5-4226-887a-235300231117

I am running Firefox v 120.0 (64bit) on Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 OS build 19045.3570 and today Firefox has stopped playing the video track on youtube videos or any video that is embedded in a page. Audio works but the screen just shows a blank field of green. The progress bar will show frames from the video. IF I run Firefox in trouble shooting mode the videos play as normal with video and audio tracks.

I have already refreshed fire fox and uninstalled and reinstalled it but the video track is still a blank field of green in both full screen and small screen modes.

Anyone have any ideas on what configuration setting may be causing this? Thanks in advance, Brocky

hello! i've been having an issue with mozilla where webp images are not loading at all. this is especially prevalent on youtube, where thumbnails simply do not load, as well as on tumblr, where if an image or gif is a webp file, it will refuse to load. both are attached in the image below to see the difference between firefox and chrome, as the images load fine on chrome. as well as that, discord, when opened with browser instead of the app, does not load profile pictures, server icons, or custom emojis. google hadn't helped me at all, and i don't know what to do at this point. i don't want to go back to using chrome.

in the attached image, the top images show a set of shark sculptures. the first does not load on mozilla, and looking at the image file, it is a webp. the second image is revealed to be a jpg, which mozilla treats normally. in the second set of images, there's a quick look at a random youtuber's page, the top being mozilla and the bottom being chrome, and you can see the mozilla thumbnails do not load.

thank you for reading! i'm very confused and am unsure what to do. any help is appreciated!

I have tried everything and cannot manage to load any webpage that prompts a reCAPTCHA. The tab immediately crashes.

1- I've tried several webpages. They all work well until a reCAPTCHA pops up, the tab crashes and creates a dump file 2- I tried uninstalling Firefox, including erasing profiles and all Mozilla folders then reinstalling, and selecting refresh. It sill happens. No addons or extensions, and HW acceleration on and off 3- The problems goes away if I run Firefox on Troubleshooting Mode

Version is 94.0.2 (64 bit) running on Windows 10 21H1 on an i7 1165G7

Am I missing something? Is there a way to do a cleaner install?

Thanks for the help!

This problem started with an update a couple months ago. Each bar is about 4 pixels wide and appears only on the right, left, and bottom edges of the browser window. They persist when the window is full size or smaller, but disappear on f11. The bars are completely unresponsive. Clicking or resizing the window doesn't seem to work inside of them. Even though the top of the window has no visible bar, there is still an unresponsive region like the other three sides and approximately 4 pixels of empty space.

When it comes to color, the bars spend about 50 percent of the time as white and 50 percent as the same gray that Firefox's dark mode uses. I wasn't able to get a screenshot when the bars were gray, but I was able to screenshot the top right and left corners when the bars were white, which I have attached.

It appears as if there are buttons of some sort poking out on the top right and left corners. If I had to guess, the top right icon looks like the "x" button on a Windows 7 window, and the top left icon looks like the red dot in the uppermost corner of a macOS window. My machine has only ever run Windows 10, and Firefox is the only application that this problem occurs in.

Restarting, using troubleshooting mode, manually removing extensions and themes, messing around with compatibility settings, running as administrator, refreshing Firefox, and reinstalling Firefox have all been unsuccessful. It really is annoying to live with this bug.

Hi, I developed a simple Add-on, based on jQuery. Unfortzunately, it seems "ajaxStop()" does consistently not work as expected (at all). Any tips on what to consider to get ajaxStop to succesfully trigger my registered eventhandlers? Thanks

PS off topic: the "developer" area of Mozilla is quite painful to handle and reach. I'm always pushed/forwarded back over here. Also the sophisticated 2way-auth seems a bit overkill for posting on a forum .

On certain pages, the rendering is completely off. For example, on Vimeo.com, all the text is gone (see attached pics). I tried Refresh Firefox, but the problem persists. I tried Troubleshoot Mode and that fixes the problem. But when I restart and disable all of my extensions, the problem continues.

This only happens on my work computer Firefox. The Firefox versions at home on multiple computers work just fine.

Any thoughts?

For the past couple of weeks I am not able to log in to AA.com. When I fill in the require fields ( AAdvantage # or username, Last name, Password), it redirects to https://www.aa.com/sorry.html. I have no problem logging in on one of the other major web browsers. Ad blocker is turned off, cache has been cleared, all the tricks that usually solve such problems. So, I'm beginning to think that something in a recent Firefox update doesn't play nice with AA.com. I'm using Firefox Ver 91.0.2.

Any suggestions?

Windows 10 desktop user, Firefox says that it's up to date.

Background information: After running normally for most of yesterday, my computer entered sleep mode while I was having dinner and then had some sort of trouble coming out of it, forcing it to restart entirely. Only Firefox and Discord were open at the time the computer entered sleep mode.

Upon restarting Firefox, however, I noticed that my tabs were loading unusually slowly even after they had allegedly finished - switching between tabs often results in white screens with the circle in the middle of them for several seconds, and there is noticeable lag when attempting to open links or type in the search bar, among other things. This problem has persisted after restarting as well as shutting the computer down entirely before rebooting it.

Troubleshoot Mode made no noticeable difference, nor did clearing the cookies and cache afterwards. However, in my subsequent attempts to relog into several sites afterwards, I was unable to do so for both Google (via Youtube; the saved email fills properly but it will not proceed to where you'd normally enter the password) and, ironically, the mozilla/firefox websites itself, which claims I do not have cookies enabled.

(Which means that, embarrassingly, I've had to use Edge just to login here and ask this question...)

All the other websites that I've tried to login to have worked, though, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Can anyone help me?
