Desktop Firefox 147.0.3 (64-bit) When I open Facebook, pictures of accounts are continually blinking (not flickering). This problem is new and appeared just after last Firfeox update.

Recently I’ve had a few Firefox problems on my W11 desktop. Sometimes when I try to load a website, nothing appears until several seconds (30 or more) have passed. During that time, the bottom of the screen shows the message Transferring data. Then, after that long wait, very often only a top piece (1/3 to ½) of the page appears. If I wait long enough (a minute or two), the rest of the page appears. Another problem is illustrated in the two images. When I go to AARP, I get the first image. T then press the Reload button and the second image appears. This problem is fairly recent. Previously, the first image always loaded with not problem. Any ideas of what’s happening and, even more importantly, how it can be fixed? Thanks.

Hello, I'd like your help. I'd like to disable some unnecessary options from the Firefox right-click menu. 1. Open link in new tab 2. Open link in new container tab 3. Open link in new private window 4. Save link as 5. Copy link I don't need these five options, so I'd like to disable them if possible.

I'm trying to diagnose an unusual problem on a relative's computer elsewhere in the country via TeamViewer. When Firefox is initiated, the same picture (a man taking a shower) appears, and the VERY 'long URL starts with a Yahoo image file (yimg) and also contains buzzfeed.com well into that URL. I thought I could easily diagnose this, and have failed. Home page is set to blank page. I cleared all browsing data. When that failed I exported bookmarks, created a new profile, and the problem still continued, even before importing the bookmarks or adding any extensions. Something is retaining the unwanted startup behavior. Tonight, out of desperation, I will reconnect and look through the registry.

Can anyone surmise why an unwanted URL is being invoked upon Firefox startup?

I have downloaded this plugin, but I cannot find any advice on how to operate it. I have opened a page (which I have created) rendering part of a high res iiif image, whose whole iiif pyramid is available for viewing. But I cannot find any button that activates the plugin.

The plugin promises "With this addon installed, you will be able to download the highest available resolution for files available on digital libraries compatible with the IIIF protocol."

How can I download the whole high res image?

In 2024-25 Microsoft Edge gained the ability to limit the usage of physical RAM that the processes uses. Once that limit is reached tabs are put to sleep or are unloaded. So a user of Microsoft Edge could restrict the memory usage to say 1GB or 2GB or 3GB and so on till the maximum available physical RAM.

Does Firefox have such an ability? Is there some flag or settings in about:config that can be enabled for a similar feature to be used? Does Firefox have ability to put tabs to sleep once SWAP is started to be used? Is there some flag or settings in about:config that can be enabled for a similar feature to be used?

If none of one of the above is not available with Firefox then will Firefox add this feature as part of the browser in the future?

I accidentally typed my protonmail password into the field of my username/mail address. I don't remember what more I did (propably answered yes to save) but now there is as autofilled my password for username always I open my Protonmail account. I am using Firefox as browser (should be the newest version) while Emailing.

I tried to delete autofill of Firefox according to the next advise: "go to Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to "Forms and Autofill," and uncheck "Autofill addresses" to stop saving them"

Then I was astonished. There is no "Forms and Autofill" setting on my Firefox at all!

Protonmail settings didn't help either nor Windows 11 - neither FAQ.

hi i am unable to use the middle search bar on the firefox screen , i understand that this search bar is a dummy bar, i have been told that to make this bar work you have to alter the settings using about:config process, and changing the handoff from ture to false , to which I have done in the past and it has worked , but for a reason I cannot understand this seems not to work now , i am completely lost now and i am reaching out to the community for help and advise thank you . K.

'I have an additional bookmark toolbar along top of my screen... how to delete this bookmark bar. When I delete each of them it's all still there next time I open my firefox

hi there, I'm using FF147.0.3 on a windows 11 version 25H2 laptop. I use google as my default search engine. When I open a new tab the google search page opens as usual. But now all of a sudden as soon as I start typing, search suggestions are appearing in the address box and not in the main google search page bar.

I've tried "settings-search-address bar" and turned off all features but that had no effect on the problem. I've reset the laptop several times but the issue still remains.

This problem is really annoying so any help would be great. Cheers Jeff

Settings that I've tried to change so far and that didn't help: Hardware acceleration - disable dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled webgl.all-angle-options webgl.enable-privileged-extensions webgl.force-enabled

Have no any issues with pasting and maps in Edge browser
