ELIMINATE DARK MODE?
How do I restore the previous version of Firefox? The newest version updated on 6/1/2021 (89.0 64-bit for Windows 10) is horrible!

I want the home page to be blank when I open the browser, I want the home button to a URL. This was possible in older versions, and when you then updated the browser it maintained this difference - if it was already set. I did that once but I don't remember how far back on versions that is an option. Is it possible to do this in 89? If not, how far back should I go to install, make my home page and home button settings, then update to the current version. Then we're all good.
If you could supply a link to the correct FF file (windows 10, 64bit) that would be even more good.
thanks

Firefox 89 on my Raspberry Pi 4 is displaying what I'm guessing is a codec issue. Videos can be watched but the picture is corrupted by brightly coloured patches around areas of detail.
Prior to the version 89 upgrade, version 88 was working perfectly.
I have Firefox 89 on a Raspberry Pi and a PC. On the PC it still works perfectly, on the Pi video is displayed badly.
On the Pi Firefox 89 is running under Ubuntu 21.04. On the PC Firefox 89 is running under Ubuntu 18.04
Am I alone in this or have others seen the same issue ?
Assuming I am not alone, does anybody have any idea what has gone wrong ?

Somehow, the prefers-color-scheme: dark media query does not seem to behave correctly in my browser. I am using Firefox 89.0.2 on Windows 10 21H1 and even though I have set the system theme to dark (which Firefox's System Theme adapts to, the browser UI is dark), websites which usually adapt to it (like YouTube when set to follow the device theme) do not do so and are using the light theme regardless. This issue persists even in troubleshooting mode, so it does not seem to be related to any add-on I have installed.
Testing the same websites on Firefox Nightly (91.0a1) and Developer Edition (90.0b12), they behave as expected, adapting to my system's dark theme. The same had been the case when I had been using Firefox 88 (where it did not work as expected), while websites on Nightly and Developer Edition (versions 90 and 89, respectively) did behave as expected.
Is there some fix for this issue, some setting that is supposed to be tweaked, or can a fix be expected in an upcoming release?

Dear Community, after one of recent Firefox updates I experience an issue with text display on certain pages. Some text is not visible because it is white on white background. The text is there, I can highlight it. I am using latest Firefox release as suggested by auto update. This white on white issue is regardless of selected Theme, even in dark theme it is white on white. Please have a look at the attached screenshots.

My tab bar and menu bar background is white. I have the latest FF version and I hear it should be black but it isn't. It used to be but I may have changed something and lost it?
How do I make it black for ease of visibility - but not the web pages (just the upper bars). I have searched for hours and none of the answers either match what to do, or work.

So I have been using a theme for Firefox for some time now, years, called Abstract Electric, makes the tool bar dark with a nice little streak of lightning or something. The tabs are dark but the drop down menus used to be white with black writing. Now this morning there was an update to Firefox and everything stayed the same except the drop down menus are now black with white writing. Can't figure out how to keep my theme which I like but put the drop down menus back to white with dark writing. I only want to change the drop down menus, not the color of the tabs or anything else, just want to put the drop down menus back to black on white

My Sessions and Session Boss know I have all my tabs open presently. I can't see the tabs & I can't right click a bookmark and see a 2nd tab open. I had the tabs at the top and just under the bookmarks bar. Now it is just one long blank bar. I disabled and then re-enabled proton, which is the worst upgrade experience ever. I changed to a simple theme, still no tabs. I downloaded the previous version 88, but it will start a new profile. I just want where I was 2 hours ago. I'll attach an image of the left upper screen with the blank tab bar.

I'm finding that Twitter is not loading in my desktop Firefox browser (89.0.1), and I'm getting the error "failedScript=polyfills". I do use an ad blocker, but it's turned off for Twitter, so I'm not sure how that could be the issue. I'm not having the same issue in Safari. Thanks for any help!

How do I get rid of this crap? I either select a crappy system theme and everything turns a blinding white, or go back to the theme I usually use where everything suddenly is dark. How do I remove darkmode while retaining my favorite theme? I don't want dark mode and I certainly do not want to be blinded either. There must be a useless setting added to the about:config that I can disable.
Thank you.
How do I get the old look and feel back? This latest version of your browser is the worst I have seen. It is horrible.

I used to use a lot the three dots next to a webpage to share the page via airdrop (to have it/share it with my own phone or others'). Now the three dots have disappeared and, although I read here that I could do that by right clicking the page, the option for SHARE does not appear. Can you please explain how to do this now? (I use a Mac).

After a crash, or even after shutting down the computer without closing all Firefox windows, Firefox will restore all the windows and tabs from the last session on restarting Firefox.
There can be many reasons why this may not be preferred behaviour for many users: Sometimes Firefox or the computer crashes because too many windows and tabs are open (and other applications running), killing Firefox may be a measure against malicious pages trying to hijack the browser, discarded pages after shutdown do not need to be restored, ...
So is there a way to make Firefox immediately ask whether to restore the session, like it already does after the second crash? This should actually be an option in the settings.
