My video download button has disappeared. I tried re-downloading it but still no button. I then tried numerous downloaders and none of them display a download button. What is going on??

I have 3 synced devices. Included in my sync options is History. Not all history seems to sync, and deleting history on one device doesn't delete it on the others. Can anyone tell me how to truly sync and delete all history across all synced devices? If this feature isn't already available, I ask that Firefox developers please make it available. Thanks!

The firefox installation on my desktop is not able to render anything.

Even the about:preferences window is not able to show anything both under my account and a new account I made. I even attempted to update to a new version of my distro (Pop OS) in an attempt to fix it.

My Firefox account is able to do a sync (shows up in the dropdown) so it does not have to do with proxies. Chromium also works fine.

I would rather not have to use Chromium so any help will be appreciated. I have tried running firefox in safe mode and doing a "Refresh".

I'm posting this again because I really need help! Also because I'm afraid I messed something up by replying to my own question. But I kept getting the "A copy of Firefox is already open" error, so I deleted one of the two profiles that I found. Apparently I chose the wrong one, and now all of my bookmarks are gone. I DID click something that said NOT to remove all my information (bookmarks, etc) so there must be a way to get it back, but how? I really only care about the bookmarks. Also want to mention that I'm on Mac, not Windows. I tried something called Recuva but I can't run .exe files on my Mac.

Connected my new XPS laptop for the first time to my monitor. Everything looks fine (Windows 10, Chrome, other programs) EXCEPT for Firefox. In Firefox, all the text looks grainy, obviously not right. I disabled all my extensions, REFRESHED/RESET the browser, with no improvement.

But when I opened Firefox's troubleshooting mode, the browser immediately improved, became crystal clear. Also, when I took a screenshot to post here, the screenshot of the text appeared crystal clear as well. So it's definitely not the monitor.

Again, I've refreshed Firefox, and turned off all my extensions. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still seeing grainy text. Troubleshoot mode says it turns off "extensions, themes, and custom settings" --what else does it turn off?

Any suggestions welcome.

My Computer is EXTREMELY / UNUSUALLY SLOW. Getting a site to open on a new tab takes forever and images are slow to load or don't load at all.

Any suggestions?

I use the Firefox browser as my password manager for saved sites. After my team viewer failed I downloaded the browser on this laptop to retrieve the sites and login but when I try to sync nothing happens? I tried History but don't see my past sites.

If the sync doesn't bring up my saved information what is the point?

Every time I ry to use the search function in Google Maps I get, "Server Error, Please try again Later". I have been getting this for a week or more now.

I have reset the computer, cleared the cache...is there something in the setting I need to change?

It works in MS Edge.

So i reset my pc yesterday and forgot to save logins.json because i thought passwords saved on your profile... turns out not and i have tried so many data recovery apps, i cannot find it. i used the smart password on almost everything... i dont know what to do

I cannot believe they set it like the present way that overrides your existing page as the default. Its like they've never used the browser. Such a bonehead move. Its especially irritating when you've been writing up something, pouring your heart out, then have it whisked away by forgetting that the pinhead designer is going to deem your present page of negligible value and wipe it out as it carries you to the History link. And to think it hasn't been changed in years.

Maybe something in About:Config can override this idiocy? I searched for "history" but didn't see anything that seemed related to this.

By the way Mozilla, its really time to employ negative filtration in the Add-Ons search. So you can put in a very general term (because you don't want to eliminate possibilities by being specific) then filter out the inapplicable results. Its called a dash and its been used for decades by Ebay and Google. Amazon used to use it but it gave us too much power so that was snatched away a while back. Say you're looking for something that will control the History function. When you search for History almost all the results involve wiping/deleting it. So by using History -wipe -wiping -delete -deleting the results get more relevant to my needs. As they say, cast a wide net if you want to catch big fish. The size of the netting filters out the smaller fish caught.

I liked the previous version of Firefox were i could open image in the same tab. This current setup doesn't work for me but for the life of me i can't find a way to disable it. Please help, I think I'm going to lose more hair trying to figure this out.

All of my "Top Sites" open fine except MeWe. I have used the top site link without problems for months, but suddenly, today, selecting MeWe will not work. Every other top site opens fine. When I select MeWE, absolutely nothing happens; no error message. I can reach the site if I select a private window for browsing.

I used to be able until very recently go to MENU > LIBRARY>Bookmarks: which would 'split' giving me three (?) choices, one of which was showing a bookmark side bar. I seem to not have that choice any longer ... or do I and I just don't know how to select it? Thank you.

Newer release of Firefox auto-fill username and password when they should not. I have a web application that has a list of people. Optionally (form is even hidden requiring a click to see) a person can be a user (rare). My username and password are auto filled in ALWAYS now for the person (even when the form is not showing). Can I just change the field names (username, password) in the jsp and have Firefox NOT fill mine in automagically? Or if not, how do I tell the browser that these are normal fields - leave them alone PLEASE (do not auto-fill)?

Hello. Late yesterday all of my bookmark folder contents became empty. I tried unsuccessfully to restore. Was able to import into Microsoft Edge and then import into Firefox from Edge. Bookmark folder contents were initially visible in Firefox but are once again blank. Bookmark folder contents are still visible in Edge. I sync Firefox between my Samsung S8+ and 2 Windows 10 Pro laptops. Please help.
