hi,

i'm using FF (version 98 at the moment) to print local files. It is key to me to edit header and footer for each print! the only solution i found so far to edit them at all, is to go to about:config and for example search for print.print_headerleft. Besides that is not usable at all, it simply doesn't work! The header and footer remain the same. Please tell me how can i change header and footer?

If you delete the, in my opinion much better "page setup", why don't you include all it's funktions in the new print dialog?

another problem is the size of the new print preview! it's much to small! make it resizeable please.

Or just give us back the "page setup". That would be a big advantage over chrome and edge, which suffer the same printing problems.

Hi, FF crashed yet again this month for no reason at all. And was unable to restart, said I can open a new profile. I tried signing in, but got "wrong password", so I tried reset. After password reset I lost all of my bookmarks, which I stored for 3 years for work. Thanks to this cr*p of a browser I am now unable to work! Can someone help restoring my profile settings and bookmarks or are they gone forever and I need to change a browser I use for work, because this bullsh*t is unacceptable?

A website MultiSafepay.com has saved my CVV number in Firefox.

How do I edit the autofill data?

I can't get to the same payment page, to be in a position to delete it.

Most links on this matter refer to:

However in my Version: Firefox 98.0.1 (64 bit) running on an up to date Windows 10 this feature is missing or deprecated.

Can anyone say how I could edit/delete this specific entry, or point me in the direction of where this data is stored?

In the mean time I can't recommend using Firefox for entering critical security data, where websites can allow the storage of CVV numbers.

The option "always open similar files" is not shown in the downloaded file context menu. This occurs on 2 machines running Windows 7 64 bit. A third machine also running Windows 7 64 bit shows it correctly. All three machines have Firefox 98.0.1 installed.

Please advise how to resolve this.

I'm curretnly trying to sign into a new device, but the new device keeps telling me that the password is incorrect. However, it's literally the account that I'm signed into right now, whose credentials I am able to see and verify.

Up until very recently, I've been able to download files without issue. Every time it'd ask "do you want to open or save?". It's no longer doing that, and instead saves them by default. How do I revert this back to asking what I want to do?

I think I may have a ghost in my desktop. 2 events happen with firefox that have followed from a previous pc build. At seemingly random times if Firefox is open and the visible tab has text, as in is not a full tab video stream, all of the text and images will shrink in size and spacing. This is independent of the zoom function as it remains at 100. Zooming to make text larger again looks weird and bulky, refreshing the page however will restore it. This glitch happens even if another application has focus, even if it is fullscreen exclusive. I haven't been able to figure out what kind of shortcut, command, or addon might possibly be able to do this.

The drop-down mystery happens when the visible tab is a full tab stream. Again even if another application has focus, the download drop-down appears and stays until I click somewhere. I've only seen it appear once and it does not look like when I choose to click the drop-down button. The size of the drop-down changed a couple to several times, and I believe the first download item appeared to be highlighted in dark blue, something I can't reproduce with my mouse or keyboard, it only highlights a different color grey. This one makes me nervous as it could possibly be something activating a download and then immediately deleting it from history? I only just recently learned the the menu will appear automatically when downloading something.

I've tried reinstalling Firefox. I don't notice this on edge, though I only have to use it a fraction of the time. I've never noticed any extra commands or text appear that I didn't type or direct in other applications. This somehow shows up after a fresh windows 10 install, and have since replaced keyboard & mouse. I've tried leaving a keylogger over long periods and it never shows anything. I refuse to leave Mozilla, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading this far :)

Recently before the new update I think, when I download something the download icon just turns blue which tells me that the download has finished.

But for some time now, when I download anything the download notification pops up like a window which I have to click something to make it disappear. I don't know why this is happening because I did not install any new add ons from before and after the thing happened. Is there a way to disable it? I don't know why it happened so suddenly but its so annoying because you have to close that notification before you can resume anything else.

Note: The pictures are what I see immediately after the download finished, I did not click anything for it to pop up.

Downloading email attachments fails with Firefox. OK with Explorer 11. This problem began four days ago. Please tell me how to fix this.

Image url has jpg at the end, when I save, the extension is webp. webp opens as darkened version of the original image in browser. How to disable webp and save normal fiel that won't be dark? I have three Firefox profiles: A, B, and C. I tried to give them all different themes. A has a red theme and keeps it consistently. B, my default profile, should have a green theme, and C should have a black theme. However, when I change B's theme to green, the theme on C also changes to green, and when I change the theme on C to black, the theme for B also changes to black. I don't know what I did differently for A! How can I make my profile themes stick for B and C?

I have a desktop and laptop both with FF installed and synced and they ALWAYS load identical. Yesterday I set up my my new desktop in my office and I installed FF and when I logged onto my account my FF stayed the default color. This never happened before, and as I turned and looked at my old desktop I saw that it too now had the wrong theme. So I went into my kitchen were I have my laptop set up (it just upgraded itself to win 11 and I am using it as a training tool) the FF on it was no longer appearing correctly.

I have since spent 30 some hours uninstalling/reinstalling FF/ deleting my profile, remaking my profile, re-deleting my profile and making another new profile using a different email and when I install FF on ANY OTHER pc it will not load correctly, especially themes and add ons.

What the hell is causing this and how do I fix it??

On every PC I used my Revo Uninstaller Pro to uninstall FF including file remnants and then meticulously scrubbed repeatedly each PC for any leftover registry and file remnants, and then I used my file eraser program to wipe all the file slack.

If this is going to be an issue why have FF ? I spend enough time now keeping Edge disabled and dont want my fav primary browser to become a "High Maintenance" browser having to spend time EVERY TIME I TURN ON MY PC fixing this, repeatedly. Its like having to add water to your cooling system every time you start up your car before you can use it.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

The trouble shooting information below is for the first install tonight after getting home and making the newest profile and it is seemingly staying correct, the next install on my laptop is incorrect, it has one deleted theme installed yet is "using" the default theme and the correct theme I picked is not even showing.

Recently Firefox updated. It cleared all of my bookmarks and browser history isn't reloading my last session. I can get the bookmarks from Chrome. The big issue is how do I reintegrate Avast Passwords eol version? Without this I need to use Chrome which isn't my ideal choice.

I am having problems with doing downloads of any files from any website using Firefox. Every time, when I try to do a download, I get an error that the download failed. I am running Firefox 98.0.2 on a Windows 10 laptop. If I use Microsoft Edge, the download is successful. Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox is not remembering the cookies and data of websites that I have saved under Exceptions. These sites are saved under Exceptions but I still have to log in every single time I access those sites, regardless of the fact that are saved to the list.

When using firefox web browser to visit investors.com, I receive the attached image as the web page. I've been using this website on this browser for months and never had an issue until today.
