Since the OS upgrade, any portal that I open (especially the ones that I have my user id and password saved) crashes. One crash report can be found at https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/7d671357-2d98-4bbc-b177-4029e0221221

I have tried disabling add-ons/ exensions, disabling auto-fill, downgrading security, reinstalling (even the ESR edition), deleting Firefox files from the library/application_support - but it doesn't simply work. Not sure if this is an OS issue.

Any ideas would really help. Getting the below info on the about:crashes each time:

Hello, I am a user on Mac! I am having an issue with moving tabs fluidly. Yes, moving tabs inside the window is easy but when I move them outside the window, it makes me a little uncomfortable. In the images and video I have sent, you can see that an unnecessary thumbnail of the tab pops up even when I move the tabs inside the window. This makes it harder to know if I am even moving the tab in the first place. Then it takes like 2-5 seconds for the new window of the individual tab I moved to appear. If whatever I said is quite confusing which I apologize for, I would very much recommend taking a look at Google Chrome, the browser I don't prefer, however, try moving the tabs around and outside one window and creating more windows with individual tabs. It feels more fluid or swift and easy to handle. Compare that to Firefox and a big difference is to be seen. I am concerned about this issue really because I am replacing my previous browsers, not only Google Chrome but browsers like Edge too which are capable of not having that issue, with Firefox instead and hopefully Firefox can have this capability. I also multitask a lot so I usually encounter this problem on Firefox. I hope this is fixed and am sure it will help a lot of users! Thank you! I am having an issue where youtube videos played at higher quality stutter when put to fullscreen. Up till about 720p60 works fine, at 1080p60 and above the framerate becomes unstable.

Things I have tried: - I have tried going into media.media-capabilities.enabled and changing it from false to true - I have set network.buffer.cache.size to 262144 - I have disabled all my plugins - I have tried changing my user agent to windows/chrome

Curiously, if I make a new firefox profile and play a video there, there is no stutter. Does anyone have ideas on how I can fix my current profile?

Clicking on the spacebar, does not produce a space between words, when typing text. I'm using a Mac Mini M1, on macOS Monterey (V 12.4), along with a Logitech MX Keys for Mac keyboard.

This happens randomly, for instance, on this very message. I previously posted a question regarding another problem that I came across with the same hardware and Firefox.

I found the solution to that problem by disabling an Extension in Firefox, however, I can't begin to think where to look for what setting, that may be causing my current problem.

After a recent reinstall Firefox seems to have a problem. This seems to be only Firefox specific and I can't find a working solution online after googling.

Youtube videos work, although they do give errors sometimes. A refresh always fixes those. However Twitch/Youtube live streams do not, and display a generic error message. When trying other browsers the live streams work fine.

And old Bugzilla post (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1467495) describes what I believe to be a possible reason for the problem, however following the solutions in that thread have not yet lead to a solution.

Any further insight or solutions would be appreciated.

I recently upgraded graphics cards from an Nvidia GTX 1080 to an AMD 6900XT. Since then I noticed video stuttering on YouTube while playing 4k videos, especially noticeable at 4k/60FPS (example video ). Prior to the upgrade, I was not experiencing issues.

I monitored task manager as the video was playing to see CPU usage, which was sitting at 25% (4 core 8 thread CPU). GPU usage was fluctuating from 1-3%.

I tried resetting all the changed configuration options in about:config, removing all add-ons, "Refreshing" Firefox, and ultimately uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing has worked so far except for "Troubleshooting mode" in about:support. In that mode, I experience no stuttering and GPU usage rises to 25-35% with the video playing, even before I reinstalled.

This most likely isn't a networking issue as the "Stats for nerds" option on the YouTube video shows I have 10-20s of buffer while the video is still stuttering.

I would like to find out what's different about Troubleshooting Mode that is not giving me the same problem while in "Normal Mode". Any advice?

Some websites load greyed out. I've just bought a Mac Mini running Monterey (12.3.1) and downloaded Firefox, which says it is up to date with version 91.9. Soem websites, when accessed therough Google search, grey out as if wanting me to accept or reject cookies, but no such buttons show. Examples - Search gresham, offered gresham college in dropdown, click onit and it's greyed out and inactive. Example - search canon support, offered Canon Product Support in Google listing, click on this main heading, and webpage comes up greyed out. Both sites work satisfactorily in Safari. (I've resolved my problem with Canon). I'll be glad if you can help - I'd prefer to go back to Firefox by default.

Until several weeks ago, new windows created through Javascript with window.open() worked. We could pass the new size, and other features, e.g. menubar, toolbar, etc. and they would show up. As of v.76.0 this is no longer true. The parameters are ignored. If we use no parameters, the menubar, etc. do show, but we can't control any new window features. We have not changed our programs at all, and window.open() parameters still work correctly in Chrome, Brave, Edge, etc. How do we get Firefox to recognize the window.open() parameters (again)?

Up until the latest FF release, opening an .ics (calendar file) link defaulted to the OS's preferred application; in my case Outlook. Now, every time I click on an .ics link FF asks where I want to save the file. I schedule ZOOM meetings all day and heavily rely on this feature.

I tried looking in FF's Files and Applications section in settings and .ics is not even listed as a file extension. I don't know how to add it.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have been having issues with the checkout page of my website. My problem was most likely coming from our payment provider causing issues with updates. I switched payment plugins until it gets fixed. (In case you would like to know the extent of my troubleshooting. I ended up installing a brand new wordpress install on a subdomain and the error still occurred.)

This is most likely not related to my initial payment provider issue. When I view issues in the console I keep getting error messages. These issues affect my ability to use the checkout page on my Firefox. We are currently processing payments successfully. These errors do not show up on Chrome.

I can't tell if this is happening to everyone or just me. I don't know which resources were blocked or where to fix this. My website and my server do not have a CSP. I have been looking for an answer for over a week before attempting to try asking here. Every issue I have noticed in the past week on my site has been one big red herring after another.

When I click on a "mailto" link, Firefox (my default browser) opens a new tab, then immediately close that tab without waiting for my to interact with it. No draft email is created. I see that other users have reported this behavior in the past, and I've tried the suggested remedies without success. Specifically, I ran Malwarebytes, and it found no threats. I then started Firefox (on the Mac) via the Option key (to start it without ad-ons), and that does not change the behavior. I'm on ver 99.0.1 of FF, which is up to date as of 4/20/2022 (today). My Mac OS is also up to date (ver 12.3.1). My Mac is a 2021 MacBookPro with the Apple M1 Pro chip. I use gmail. OTHER BROWSER (like Safari and Chrome) can open "mailto" links in a new tab in FF (which is my default browser, and used for mailto links) just fine! I am using Moziall Firefox 64-bit with version 107.0 on Windows 10 21H2. I always like to scroll web pages with the mouse scroll wheel by clicking the mouse wheel and then moving the mouse up and down. I think you know this function. Normally a small circle with an up and down arrow appears, but not anymore. In other programs like Outlook, Word or Edge it still works.

For troubleshooting I have already deactivated all addons and started Firefox in safe mode. Unfortunately, everything has brought nothing.

I'm using Duckduckgo as my search engine, but when I type in a search string, it Firefox prepends it with https://html.duckduckgo.com/html/... This opens a search page that doesn't follow my dark theme. When I click on a link, another link is added that creates a link back to the same URL, causing a loop. This never happened before I upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 & the latest version of Firefox, 100.0.2. How can I change this back?

When I'm trying to go to a specific website, it doesn't connect with an error code "SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER". I was able to press a button labeled "Accept the Risk and Continue" before, but the button seems to have disappeared?

UAC notification pops up every time I try to open Firefox since last update on 5/5/22. I've deselected all options that run the program as an administrator, but it still shows up every time. I've checked that no admin is selected in both the shortcut I use and in the program itself. Any suggestions?

Using Windows 11. I'm using a free Proton VPN. My Firefox version is 103.02. I want to be able to continue to use the VPN when using Firefox to check my gmail accounts. If I disconnect the VPN, Firefox lets me access my mail site without a problem. When I use the VPN connected, I'm getting a PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Is there a way to keep the VPN on and connect with no error? Is there a Firefox setting I can change? I don't have proxy selected in Win 11 connections. Cache is cleared.

For several days now, when using Firefox I no longer get the < > and ? search icons - but other browsers display as usual. I have searched settings and can not fine anything that helps. I searched Google and found old reports of the same exact problem but the options that fixed the problem - but the settings used are no longer found in Firefox.
