I'm trying to find a way to change where Firefox 93 stores my temporary internet files away from C Drive to a different drive to reduce lag. I found an article on how to do it using the about:config utility, but I can't do what that article describes — right-clicking in the about:config browser does not give me the option to create a new string; there is no "new" option.

How do I change this in Firefox 93?

How can i hide my display/screen resolution from websites? I use Firefox in windowed mode not with my default screen size but websites know my default resolution. This can be used to identify my pc. I dont want that for privacy reasons like tracking and adverstising. How can i prevent this? I found many threads/posts about this in various forums/websites. They are talking about Tor Browser and that websites can identify you if using full-screen mode. But as i said, im using Firefox not Tor and while im using windowed-mode websites still know my default resoltion. I tested this on https://whoer.net/

Another question, how can i restore the default window size in Firefox?

Since updating to Firefox 93.0, I notice that downloads from certain sites are being blocked, because they are using a basic HTTP connection, requiring me to explicitly allow each download. I understand that this is a new "feature," as explained here: https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2021/10/05/firefox-93-protects-against-insecure-downloads/, however, I in no way desire this behavior. It is an asinine nuisance, and if I cannot disable it, I will have no choice but to revert to an early version of Firefox. My question, then is this: is it possible to disable this check, and simply allow all downloads? If so, how can I do that?

I need the scrollbar widths to be wider. i have difficulty hitting them with a mouse anymore. Scrolling by hitting the area between the thumb and the (missing) buttons is just as hard, obviously, as it is the same, nearly invisible width. Using the buttons, oh yeah, like I said, they're missing.

I'm not new to this problem. I had this fixed in the past. I would fix it by changing CSS in one or both of two places: userChrome.css, and theming folders for my system. With the last update of FF the devil scrollbars returned, and since then nothing I have tried works. I'm aware of the legacy setting on userChrome.css and set that to true, with no effect.

There's a thread I could share on the Linux Mint forum where somebody asked about this a year ago, and I am not exaggerating, there were at least 10 different things to try.

I'm running FF 93 on Fedora 35 with a Cinnamon desktop. I don't want to do any more Google searches. Can someone point me, please to the DEFINITIVE answer on how to style the scrollbars, at least in my enivironment, and it would be really nice to not only get an answer, but one that will not become defunct when the next version of FF is released.

I installed Chrome, and scrollbars are usable out of the box.

I cannot set my preferences because the preferences menu will not display when I select Command, from the pulldown menu under Firefox in the top left banner. I am stuck with whatever this is. I cannot set my search engine. I cannot set my popup preference. I cannot set any preference. I use Mac BigSur 11.5.2. I can't share data. I am having trouble streaming my favorite radio station because I cannot reset my popup preference for the station. Nor can I use my search engine: DuckDuckGo without typing it into the Start search box because I cannot set my search engine preference. I cannot set other preferences because it seems I don't have any options since I can't get the preference menu.

I have this problem since version 92.0. I've been through all of the troubleshooting steps and they made no difference. I'm on a Mac and Safari works fine. When I open pages, it's usually using "Open link in a new tab". most of the time, the new tab is blank with the address at the top. If I click the refresh button, I get the page I was linking to. I have not seen the problem when I use "Open link in a new window".

Firefox 93.0 64bit Linux Mint 1.0

When I close (X) the window, my session is not restored. I have checked all the settings and verified that they are set correctly. Then, I found that when I tried to quit the program via File menu, it says that I have two windows and three tabs open, yet I only have on window/one tab open. I can not find this other window... What does this mean? Have tried refreshing the app, safe mode, and disabling the extensions that I use.

Thanks!

So, on Windows 10 I noticed that when I click the History tab I see Show All History and when I click that the only option I get is Today..very odd.

On my Windows 7 Home Premium when I do the same steps I have access to "Today", "Yesterday", "Last 7 days" and various recent months.

This is what I'm accustomed to and was hoping to get input on why I only get Today option on my Windows 10 computer.

Looking forward to your reply...

FF 93 arrived last night and now my setting (from userChrome.css) that removes the cyan color of the urlbar doesn't work anymore:

  1. urlbar[focused="false"]:not([suppress-focus-border]) > #urlbar-background {
 border: none !important;

}

I tried a few different things but they were for older versions of FF and naturally they didn't work. I even added a line "border-color: none !important;" but that didn't work either.

So, any suggestions for version 93 of how to remove the cyan border (again) when I click on the urlbar?

Good afternoon!

We need to add a "Saved Password Exception" to Firefox on several remote computers on our network (Non-Domain). We do not want to block the saving of all passwords, but want to specify a few websites to never ask or prompt to save.

I was hoping I could do this with Mozilla.cfg or Policies.json, and distribute it over the network to each PC. All I have found is a way of blocking all site password save-prompts with "signon.rememberSignons" in the Mozilla.cfg.

Any suggestions on how to set exceptions for specific sites with either using the Mozilla.cfg or Policies.json? Otherwise I may need to edit the firefox configuration manyally on each PC.

Suggestions?

Thanks everyone!

Hi, In these last days, I deleted a bookmark folder or something by error. Then I found some daily backups, and I restored from the last one backup.

The next issue was that the following daily backups have less bookmarks, and doing some testing, it appears the Daily backups, now, are not including "Other Bookmarks".

It has less entries from now on.

I want to know if there is a bug, or something changed by itself. How can I fix that?

Thanks
