streaming video stops when browser's tab goes out of focus
It happens in both Firefox and Chrome browsers but only with certain websites. Is it by design of the streaming source or the browser's fault? thanks

I was googling fine, went to eat, and when I came back this security alert appeared when tried to google something, and it also appears if I try to enter Youtube, like if Google sites now are a security risk for Firefox?
Edge opens them, Chrome opens them, WTF?? I just went to eat, didn't update nothing, didn't add a cookie, didn't restart the computer, I didn't even close the browser, I JUST WENT TO EAT. This is for those that say "restart", "clean your cookies", "update Firefox", I've already tried the obvious, what the hell happened? Did Firefox get in a fight with Google or what?
Do developers read these topics or we're just "helping each other"? Well, thanks for any info on the matter...

Hello
Recently I bought Nordic VPN and since I connected to one of its servers abroad, Firefox still thinks I'm outside the UK, even if I've switched to UK servers and even if I turn it off. So now I can't watch BBC iplayer.
I looked at other simliar threads but none of the solutions I read there works. I've cleared cache, switched to offline mode and online mode again, etc. Nothing.
I'm on Windows 10, 64-bit, desktop browser. Any tips on how to solve this would be great.
Best Aris

Will Mozilla implement MIDI for musical instruments? I went to sign up to the Yamaha Soundmondo web site and immediately upon landing on the web site I got this message (on the far right- SYNCH Web MIDI not suported Please Use Chrome) and took a screen shot of it. It wants me to download Chrome. There is no way on earth I am installing Chrome on any of my devices. Google knows far too much already. Any way to let Mozilla know Firefox needs this capability? I can’t be the only musician using Firefox.
Thanks,
Jerry

I have version 85.0.1 (64 bit) on Win 10. I just created Bookmark folders and started moving individual bookmarks into the appropriate folders. How do I select multiple bookmarks so I can move a bunch at a time to it's folder? I tried CTL-CLICK but that doesn't select but rather opens the link. When I open "Show all Bookmarks it lists only the bookmark folders (which I can open and do multiple selection). But why aren't the bookmarks not in folders showing up? I can see them in to bookmark toolbar and in the >> sidebar. Have hundreds of bookmarks I collected- want to move some want to delete some. Selecting multiple for drag and drop would make my project go unbelievably faster.

Here are some tricky parts:
1) When using Firefox, take YouTube video as an example, I can hear the music if I connect my laptop to an external Bluetooth speaker. (But without using a Bluetooth speaker or any external speaker, there is no sound through my laptop even thought I turn my laptop volume to the greatest.)
2) For the same video, if I use google chrome, I have no problem hear the music no matter using a Bluetooth speaker or my laptop internal speaker.
3) You can argue my Firefox privacy Autoplay setting was wrong. But I checked and I allow both audio and video for all websites. Besides, I also checked the Permissions status on each website.
4) The weirdest part I don't get: Supposedly I can play and hear sound through Firefox, since I authorize all the website. But why there is no sound if I'm using my laptop's internal speaker? ( And only the laptop's internal speaker)
5) For my internal speaker, it work fine when I use Zoom, hear music through windows' Groove player, or even play video through Chrome.
Last but not least, I still ran troubleshooting trying to fix my internal speaker. But they can't detect any problem.
I'm so confused.... Does firefox hate my laptops internal speaker? Please help me. Thanks

If I Google for a PDF and click a link, I get the Firefox download dialog. If I select "Open with Firefox [Developer Edition]", the following things happen:
What I would instead like to happen is:
How can I achieve this?
Not having the URL where a PDF was opened from is very annoying when, for example, I open a bunch of PDF search results to read and review, and I later want to share links to some of those PDFs. Best I can do to find their URLs to give to others is then to try and remember which tab corresponds to which search result, or do mine the downloads tab.
Contrast this with Chrome: I click a Google result for a PDF and the PDF just opens in the current tab with the URL to the PDF in the location bar. No dialogs, no PDF files hanging around in my home directory, and I can just copy the URL to the PDF the same way I'd copy the URL to any web page.
Thank you!

As the subject line says, I want to determine the date that I added a specific bookmark. This was incredibly easy on my old Windows 7 machine with an older version of Firefox. You just clicked on "Bookmarks" at the top of the screen, then "Show All Bookmarks", "Views", "Show Columns" (ensuring that "Added" was checked) — et voilà, there it was!
Now, however, no matter what I try, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. And searching for an answer online has proven useless, as well. The only instructions I've seen refer to how I used to do it with my earlier version of Firefox.
Has the date that a bookmark was added also been deprecated/deleted from Firefox (along with the greatly missed cookie handling of yore)? Or am I just missing something obvious?
If anyone could tell me how to find the date I saved a bookmark, I'd be in your debt.
Thanks in advance.

My [- 100% +] zoom buttons have disappeared. I use them all the time, and now they are not there, just a big white space between the Home icon and the Show Bookmarks icon. Zooming still functions with the menu or hotkeys (Command + and Command -), but the menu bar buttons are gone, and clicking in the sopace where they should be does nothing.
I've tried safe mode, restarting Firefox, and rebooting. Nothing seems to restore them.
Any suggestions?

Hi there! I'm taking a bunch of screenshots with the Firefox tool but thing is for every screenshot I take there's the preliminary steps to take and clicking 4 time per screenshot is kinda tedious if you're taking a bunch. Is it possible to bind the function to a button where it'll take the screenshot and download it itself without needing me to click 4 times?

How can I set two-sided printing to rotate on the long axis (so both sides are printed in the same direction, and when you turn the page you can keep reading easily)? With the new upgrade it keeps defaulting to printing on the short axis (so the second side is printed upside down) which makes it very difficult to read smoothly. This has always been easy to set previously. Now the Print menu only allows you to toggle Two-Sided Printing on and off, not to choose the axis. The system dialog does include this setting, in theory, but it doesn't work. I have tried changing it to Long-Edge Binding several times. Each time I change the setting and print immediately, and it still prints with Short-Edge Binding which I do not want. Help! If this can't be fixed I will need to stop using two-sided printing entirely, which will mean wasting a lot of paper.

So I've recently noticed that Firefox is the only browser which has problems displaying colours effectively.
I've searched this issue on Google and to be quite honest, the archived responses to this issue which I've read have been rather bad-faith and evasive, blaming either driver issues or Windows settings - neither of which get in the way of other browsers' correctly displaying a webpage. And why should I fiddle with my Windows or driver settings to make a browser happy, anyway? That seems more like a sign of browser problems for obvious, logical reasons.
I have attached screenshots of the same webpage snippet on Chrome, Edge, Opera, and Firefox. The Firefox image is the last, bluest, and incorrect rendering of the webpage colour.
I have tried going into the Color menu and cancelling the override option (selecting "Never" in the drop-down menu). I've even gone into advanced settings and set gfx.color_management.mode to 0 - nothing works.
If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated.
