I'm having the same issue described in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1147868 and have tried the recommended fix. I have changed the setting reccommended in about:config to false, but about:support still shows 1/1 for multiprocess windows, and I have 6 instances of Firefox running in the process manager (screenshot shows 5, but it has been as many as 7 at once).

Is there anything else I can try to fix this issue? Any help is much appreciated!

I've just got a new 64-bit laptop with Windows 8. Websites using Flash keep crashing on Firefox, but work fine on Chrome and IE10.

I tried the suggestions in Hot Topics here 'Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox' and here 'Flash 11.3 crashes', by downgrading to Flash 10.3, but it didn't help, probably because they're about Windows 7.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Firefox v 31 and Windows 7.

Since Friday early, I got this: "Something happened on our end. Please refresh your browser or close it and sign in again." ... After I signed in again, I got this error: "We can't connect to Outlook.com right now. Please try again later."

What's new with outlook.com occurred overnight (Thursday). There is a now a Messaging section in the lower left portion of Home page, which slowly loads with icons of people (with names) that I know. I just checked the five icons in that section. I know two of the five names - and I'm not remotely interested in messaging any of them.

The reason I'm here is that outlook.com is accessible on IE.

Is this a Firefox/outlook conflict?

Can I remove this awful feature?

There is no information about downed servers, and as usual, no solutions for this very specific message at Microsoft.

Thank you.

I have tried to reset Firefox, ran Malawarebytes and Super Anti Spyware, ran Norton, and even tried by downloading TDSKILLER. Nothing is picking up this virus or getting rid of it. When I rest Firefox, it appears to go away; however. my PC runs slow. I did not get the toolbar or any adverse effect running IE though. Should I uninstall Firefox or will this make it just find another home in my laptop? Please help!

I need to DELETE EVERYTHING - Firefox, profile, bookmarks, anything that has to do with Firefox. How do I do that?

In advance, thanks a lot.

I am entirely unable to ever watch a video in Firefox which requires the Adobe Flashplayer plug-in. In fact, IF I activate the plug-in, Firefox goes into a "not responding" mode, which never ends. I DO, after anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes get a script quit responding message, but regardless of how I answer it, another freeze (or the same one) occurs, and after another interminable wait, I get a repeat message. This happens so many times I've left it to run more than 12 hours, then checked it, to find the message windows stacked. When I cleared the last of 20+ windows at the end of the 12 hours, I immediately got another freeze. The only fix to date has been to kill Firefox, either from the Task Manager, or from the "red X, and kill it now instead of waiting" options. Then, on restart, I have to get quickly to the add-ons page, and re-disable Adobe. The version of Firefox I'm running is 35.0.1 The version of Adobe I'm running is Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.305. I ran, over the space of 20 hours, several malware hunters (malware bytes, Microsoft System Security, AVG, AVAST, Spybot S&D, and others I can't remember now) with several issues found and cured. None, though, fixed this. My machine is an ACER Aspire 5732Z, running Windows 7, 64-bit. This problem cropped up about 2 months or less ago. I'm wondering if it is related to the latest version of Shockwave, and possibly occurred after a(n automatic) update.

YouTube works fine. Other websites play videos, no problem. But then I'll go to a website and see a message that the video is either corrupt or is not supported. When I search for how to play mp4 in Firefox I end up at this site: http://www.jwplayer.com/blog/the-state-of-html5-firefox-now-supports-mp4/ With the huge headline Firefox Now Supports MP4. No, it ****ing doesn't! A bit frustrated, because everywhere I look for help on this, I either come across pages saying it should work, Firefox supports mp4 etc, OR forums where it's webmakers asking the question and then the solution is something wrong in their coding - which doesn't help me, the lonely end user. When I go to this suggested test site: http://techslides.com/demos/sample-videos/small.mp4 I get the error message: Video can't be played because the file is corrupt. No, it's not. I can download it and play it on WinAmp. When I go to this suggested test site: http://www.html5videoplayer.net/html5video/mp4-h-264-video-test/ I get the error: No video with supported format and MIME type found. Huh? Again, I can download and play it fine. But Firefox won't play it. Soooooo Is there a fix in the wind? Is there something I can tweak or change to make Firefox recognize and play this stuff? Is there a plugin/extension/addon that I need to download to play mp4? If this is a known problem that is going to be fixed eventually, is there something I can do as a substitute (ie a plugin for now)? Because it seems like the only alternative is to abandon Firefox and start using Chrome, which has no problem with the above-mentioned videos.

For the past few days, Firefox has been extremely slow to load pages at startup. The browser itself launches pretty much instantly, but it's taking over six minutes after that just to look up domains. At some point it gets past whatever hiccup is holding things up and browsing works for the rest of the session -- noticeably slower than usual, but usable.

It happens with add-ons disabled, after multiple refreshes, and even after a full reinstall (with new profile). I've played with all the common suspects -- disabling accessibility options, hardware acceleration, IPv6, etc. I closed my pinned tabs and disabled auto-restoring the previous session. I even disabled Avast and MalwareBytes. Nothing has helped so far (which is seriously disappointing, considering the 6-minute restart between each change!)

The odd thing is that there are a few seconds, immediately after startup, where things seem to work normally. If I'm quick, I can sometimes get most of one webpage to load before the problem begins.

I've been a Firefox power user since version 0.6.2 and never encountered anything like this. I'm very comfortable with changing settings, configuration files, etc., and am willing to try just about anything to get things cranking again. But right now I'm simply out of other ideas to try.

Using 61.0.2, 64-bit version on fully-patched Windows 10 on a very fast fiber connection. <edit> I also tried the 32-bit version; no joy. </edit>
