Hi

I am using on laptop Linux Mint17 and Firefox 66.0.3. Is this Firefox version current ?

Have pop ups from Facebook re being 'not logged in' 'please contiune' but it goes around and around and Facbook does not open!! Frustating.

If the FF version is old how do I update. Link to tutorial would be great. Would this fix the FB problem? Thankyou Charlie Harris downunder

I recently migrated from chrome to Firefox, i am just starting to get used to it the interface. My current setup right now is my laptop (MacBook Pro) and an external monitor (ViewSonic). Whenever i go full screen on the monitor - in Firefox - the dock on my laptop screen disappears. Is there any way of preventing this or is this an apple thing not Firefox?

Thank you for the help!

Like previous questioners, I am trying to find a keyboard shortcut for switching between Firefox windows on MacOs (in my case 10.11.6).

Lots of people suggest (Shift) Cmd + ~ (Tilde) ... but this does not work for me ... and appears to do nothing in Firefox ... but does cycle through finder windows, which means the keys themselves are working!

Any help appreciated.

As I understand it right now, when I click on a download for a PDF in Firefox, I can choose to open it in Firefox. I like this, and would like to keep it, but my problem is that since it is a preview, it hasn't actually downloaded. The file ends up in Windows' temp folder. I would like it to, when I click open with Firefox, download to my downloads folder, and still open in the browser. Is there a way to do this?

When I use Firefox on the external monitor, I set the zoom level to 150%. When I leave home a take my laptop with me, I set the zoom level to 100% to use with a smaller screen.

I want to automate setting the zoom level.

Is there a way to programmatically set the zoom level from a script? Does Firefox expose such an API / command-line tool?

Thanks!

Yesterday I needed to print out a 2 page set of labels sent to me by Ebay to return something. My printer would only print the 2nd page, over, and over again. I never was able to print the first page of the labels with the address on it in order to return the item.

I suddenly twigged that Firefox has something that stops it referring to another page, and went to another browser in order to get my printing job done.

However I'd rather use Firefox for all things, so how do I overcome Firefox not allowing me to load and print the second page of labels/ refer to another page when I give it permission to? How do I give FF permission to refer to other pages in certain circumstances?

Hi, I opened Firefox this morning and found Amazon pinned among my top sites. Weirdly enough, I can't unpin it or dismiss it - it just stays there whatever I do (in contrast to other pinned sites). It's not a huge problem, but I have some ethical issues with Amazon, so the last thing I want to see every time I open my browser is their logo. I also wonder how did it get there in the first place (I sometimes do browse the site to get an idea what are the prices of various products, but not too often and I'm not sure if there is a way to pin it by accident at all). Does anyone have the same problem?
