I am trying to use Firefox secure passwords. I can create a secure password, update it when asked, but it doesn't autofill the password when I try to log in. I have the "Autofill User Name and Passwords" box checked in Firefox Preferences. I am on a MacBook Air using Firefox.

Pressing Alt in Firefox in Linux (Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Linux Mint 22.xx) brings up a top menu, which is hugely annoying as I'm always trying to to a window action if I'm pressing Alt.

The suggested solution is to go to about:config and change ui.key.menuAccessKeyFocuses to "false".

But this keeps reverting itself. (Between every other reboot?). Alt will again bring up this menu.

How can I permanently disable this shortcut?

When scrolling a web site with an embedded video, as that video scrolls off screen, it automatically pops out to a picture-in-picture video on the lower right-hand part of the page. How can I disable this. I don't want this to ever happen.

Yesterday, I get a screen popup that says" Outlook(formerly Hotmail)" Saying Hotmail will now be Outlook.

I've had Hotmail for maybe 30+ years now? I've always had Firefox open to my inbox, which is Outlook and has been for a year or better.

Since yesterday it will not open up to my inbox. It opens to the MS website showing what I wrote up above and a picture of Outlook.

I've deleted cookies and cache. Also history. Even though I point it to my inbox it just goes to that advertisement. I have the stay signed in box checked and don't show this again. But it does show again and again. I hope there's a way to fix this, pretty sure it not a Firefox issue. Just hoping someone else has had and and found a way around it.

The Adobe Acrobat Add-On Extension for Firefox was missing so I attempted to add it from Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017. I have had to do this manually by installing from the adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi file. This usually has worked. When i tried to add it this time is said the add-on file was corrupt.

I tried uninstalling and redownlading AdobeAcrobatPro 2017 thinking this would add an uncorrupted file and got the same the same message. Unfortunately, because I had used the Adobe license key too many times for Acrobat 2017 on my computer I had to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020. i had hoped this would solve the problem. But no, I get the same message corrupt file message even with a new copy of the Acrobat Pro 2020.

What is going on? Can anyone help with this?

Is there anyway to configure network.http.rcwn.enabled to false via the policy located in the ''C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution'' folder?

Hello! I accidentally clicked to restore default setting in the customize toolbar menu, and now all of my tab/address bar/bookmark bar setting and locations are different and I don't like it at all. Previously, the address bar was above the tabs and the full length of the window. Now the tabs are at the top and the address bar is on the same bar as the bookmarks I have saved to the bookmark bar. The address bar goes full length if I remove the bookmark bar but I want to have both on the screen at the same time, on their own bar, as I did before. I have looked through the all of the settings and customize options, and can't find anything that will move my address bar to the top above the tabs, or a way to keep the address bar and bookmark bar open and available separately. Help! Thanks. :)

This is the message I get from Rakuten: "Your ad blocker is working too hard! To earn Cash Back at Samsung, disable your ad blocker and refresh this page." I want Rakuten to send me to the Samsung site as I am interested in buying something there.

I am in a dialogue with someone on this Mozilla site, and trying to explain my problem. I don't know if the problem is that Rakuten is being blocked from sending me to the Samsung site or Samsung is being blocked. (Rakuten is a site that has arrangements with many companies who give discounts to customers.)

As part of my job I need to fill in long content into webpages. Many of the words can be long and not so common in everyday language - but are words that I use many times in the report writing I do. Like with MS Word's AutoCorrect... Could there not be an option for custom work shortcuts, such as:

cst automatically becomes: custom prg automatically becomes: Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Crazy or what

I set up a custom search extension and am trying to use 'z' as the keyword.

It doesn't work. If I use anything else, it works fine, I just can't use 'z'.

Since I use 'z' in Chrome, I'd like to keep it consistent.

I don't see any other search engines using that keyword.

Is there something I'm missing here? Why can't I seem to use 'z' as a search engine keyword?

When I check "Check spelling as you type" and choose size of fonts and then close my browser it doesn't remember the settings chosen, IE, when I open it again, go to settings the "check spelling as you type" isn't checked and the size of the fonts shows earlier setting

Hello. How do I do if I want Firefox to open a new window every time I click on the icon? I tried to insert the command "-new-window URL", which used to work before but it doesn´t anymore. Is there anybody out there who knows something about this?

After last update, when I open the bookmark sidebar (CTRL+B) and change its size (width), and then close Firefox, sidebar's width change to previous size.

How to fix it?

And now if i want to sharing my screen it's not coming, And allow button showing fade. I would appreciate your support if anyone can give me any idea about how to solve this issue as I lost my parameters when restarting Firefox.

Every time that I restart Firefox (115.13.0esr 64-bit), I lose most of my personalized parameters: download recording directory, toolbar customization, etc.

As an example, every time that I restart it, a new download recording directory is again customized related to a folder that I deleted 10 years ago.

I understand that I am doing something wrong or something must be wrongly in my system. Have you ever managed this situation? Could you please be so kind to provide me any guide about how to solve this issue?

I'm using Firefox 127.0.2 on Arch Linux. In settings under General>Startup>"Open previous windows and tabs" is not checked. Under about:config browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand is false, and browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash is false

How do I get Firefox to give me a clean slate after restarting my computer?
