Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_MALFORMED_ALERT
I have HTTPS only mode turned off but it keeps setting everything to https.

I'm seeing this issue mostly in Google News, but mostly because it uses these little symbols extensively. The little up and down carets don't display properly. They look fine in Chrome but not in Firefox. See the attached screenshot.

I didn't know which topic to select. Just started the computer and there was a TrendMicro notice to restart my browser to complete an update -- I opened Firefox and it opened in two windows with notices about updates, but had lost all my tabs. Other times the situation is different, but the result is the same -- fifty or a hundred tabs gone -- I just noticed the toolbar is missing too so I'm going to send or submit this and turn it back on and see if that stupid extension that supposedly saves my tabs has saved anything, but often, when this happens, it hasn't saved anything for weeks! I've tried getting tech support from them but however these things works something isn't triggering it. One shouldn't need a CIS degree to be able to use a laptop. Thank you, you're awesome regardless.

Hi, Using Firefox 92.0.1. On a AMD 5900x with an Nvidia 3090. Nvidia driver 471.68. Hardware decoding doesn't seem to be working correctly on any website. I noticed this as when I adjust video colours and 'edge enhancement' in the Nvidia control panel it has no effect in Firefox but it works in Chrome and Edge. Simply sliding the colour down to black and white for example doesn't work. In task manager GPU video decode is sometimes used, other times no utilisation. Even if it's showing GPU decode being used the colours or Nvidia enhancements do not apply as they do in Edge or Chrome. I tried refreshing Firefox and no change. Is this the intended behaviour or is there a long running bug as a friend also has the same outcome? Thanks

Can someone tell me how to uninstall this extension? I was trying to add extensions that make PDFs of web pages. In the course of doing this I ended up getting an extension that periodically pops out a page of reviews that it's already shown each time. It brings me to a blog by a Harlan Gertz. I've turned off any extensions that didn't say who the creator was. I don't see any by this name. Still it pops up all the time. How can it be popping up this website if I don't have an extension that is made by this person? Is there another way to force pop-ups? Does anyone know the name of this extension? Thanks for any help. I really want to avoid having to re-install Firefox. This is on a Mac.

Firefox 92.0.1 in Windows 10 Pro x64 will not play any audio. I have Opera, Edge, and Chrome installed and they all play audio just fine. I have done the following:
- Disabled all extensions - right clicked the volume icon to open the volume mixer and made sure Firefox volume was set correctly
(at same level as everything else) (see attached picture)
- went into settings -> sound -> advanced sound options -> App volume and device preferences and
made sure Firefox was set to Default (just like all the other browsers) (see attached picture)
- Uninstalled / reinstalled firefox - Created a brand new profile, from scratch - Reinstalled my sound drivers and NVIDIA video driver - restarted windows
How do I fix this problem?
I am not a geek, and the documentation about this problem elsewhere in Mozilla support is way over my head. I just need plain language - and maybe visual - instructions… (read more)

I just need plain language - and maybe visual - instructions on how to stop getting this error message. It never happened until a Firefox browser update a few weeks ago (September 2021). Often if I click the 'try again' button a couple of times, I can finally get through to the website I am trying to connect to, but this shouldn't be happening. It's annoying. I use Avast antivirus software if that's useful info. thanks.

Olders versions was not able to work properly either on this website. Firefox open it and let me visit the site normally but as soon as I click on a program to look at, looks like the screen and connection freeze... Little Snitch Traffic monitor indicates that there is no more data exchange but connection still active.
