When I open a PDF in Firefox, a box covers the right half the page demonstrating the highlighter tool. It never leaves. It blocks half the page and prevents me from reading and/or printing. Please help. It's making my work impossible.

I have one and only one SMTP account. I have 1,000,001 POP accounts. Mailboxes and accounts have no relationship.

I am running Fedora 41 with firefox version 135.0.0-1.fc41

I have two linux accounts on my desktop tower computer, my account with gnome desktop and my wife's account with cinnamon desktop.

My wife has a bookmarks file in json format. It was created by her on her laptop. I checked that the json is valid with a json validator. She can not restore her bookmarks with this json file. She uses the "Import and Backup" command, then gets the mesage "This will replace all of your current bookmarks with the back. Are you sure?" After clicking OK, nothing happens - the bookmarks are not restored and there is no error message.

Otherwise, both accounts have no problems of any sort.

Dear Ms, dear Mr, I experience the following problem with the user interface of my bank’s website when I consult it using my new MacBook Air laptop computer. The image displayed on the computer screen is apparently designed for a smartphone, not for a computer screen. This anomaly never occurred with my previous computer. And it does not occur at present when I work using Safari. So, I assume that it is linked to the navigator’s (i.e. !Firefox) configuration. This is the reason why I am contacting you. Software is Preventing Firefox From Safely Connecting to This Site

news.google.com is most likely a safe site, but a secure connection could not be established. This issue is caused by Private Internet Access, which is either software on your computer or your network.

What can you do about it?

news.google.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

   If your antivirus software includes a feature that scans encrypted connections (often called “web scanning” or “https scanning”), you can disable that feature. If that doesn’t work, you can remove and reinstall the antivirus software.
   If you are on a corporate network, you can contact your IT department.
   If you are not familiar with Private Internet Access, then this could be an attack, and there is nothing you can do to access the site.

I have been trying to log in to a newspaper website for which I have a subscription. This used to work in Firefox without a problem, but for a while now I have been encountering the problem that when I open the website the usual options "Subscribe" and "Log In" are missing. The "Log In" option is available when I open the website in Microsoft Edge. I have attached screenshots showing the missing links.

I have tried troubleshooting and opening in Safe Mode to disable any add-ons but still without success. I am hoping that there may be a simple solution and would appreciate any help.

I am using Windows 11 and Firefox 133.0.3 (64-bit).

If uploading a .gpx file (list of GPS track points - in XML format), FF will open a tab then another etc quite quickly. It also creates a 0 byte file in the downloads directory. This happens eg if using the Google maps to gpx converter (https://mapstogpx.com/).

If FF is closed down, on restarting it just continues - infinite loop.

The way to stop is invoke FF by clicking a saved link or from command line with a url as argument. This stops the loading of the gpx as your chosen page is loaded instead. You can then hover over the existing GPX tabs and select remove duplicate tabs.

I have been using Firefox ON this desktop since Feb. 13, 2019 But used Firefox way before that on other desktops. I just saved my profile from one to another and in 2019 I got a new computer again and I never have cleaned it up. I did searches on how too but nothing on how to get rid of passwords and user names logins on websites I no longer used except for one at a time, that will take me weeks,months to clean Firefox up, and how to clean up bookmarks the same, and so on. Today I saved a copy of my profile folder and was shocked to see it is almost 2GB. It explains why some days Firefox doesn't load properly, and why getting stuff done on here is more than a feature, it is bad chore I really need to tackle this and hope you guys can help me out on getting this mess cleaned up. Please advise on how to remove osite data

I do the following but it fails to remove website info

Setttings -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data check all options Clear Data -> Clear go to Manage Data ~ 12 sites are there with last used show 2 & 3 years ago Remove All -> Save Changes -> Clear Now going back into Manage Data, all the sites are still there none of those sites are included under Manage Exceptions

Hi, now I have some issues, it all started as I put 2 step ver.ON (october) 1. I had to reset my acccount password...that was OK,after that it all went wrong.

I have working account and password that is OK, and 2 step verif. -I can log intomy browser, but cannot access my account with firefox (I can see/access all bookmarks etc)...however I can with Chrome. -error is session expired in firefox at every attempt.

after successful password change, I had to log out of mobile app and cannot signin/Sync anymore with my app...always I get an errorr "oh dear something went wrong we have been notified and we´re on it." This is strange, if I try without QRcode the error is that my password is wrong ? - now I don´t get it, if password is accepted in desktop browser etc. then the app gets all cranky about it ?

This isn't a question but rather a response to the latest iteration of Firefox. Whatever your team did in this new install has made a dramatic difference in response time. I notice it most when signing in to my Yahoo email account, the delay time is down to 2 seconds between hitting Enter and the change. This is terrific since it previously took 20-30 seconds to happen. Thanks very much for your work, folks.

Hi, FF updated to version 134.0.1 and the password generator is gone. I checked, the web page does uses correctly input type="password", but when I right click on the input form field, it doesn't have the usual "suggest secure password" anywhere. In about:config, the signon.generation options are all set to true. Any ideas, how can I generate a secure password without any external tools? Thx.
