1. I accidentally moved the address bar in Firefox and I cannot get it back where it belongs. This is causing me and inordinate amount of stress. It should be simple. I want the address bar back at the top. Not in the middle, and half way to the right of the screen. 2. Webpages are now displaying with "blank" space on both side of the window. 3. The bookmark bar comes and goes. In the screenshot... it has disappeared again.

Reinstalling Firefox did not help at all. Please help... this is stressing me out far more than it should.....

I am just writing to tell you that you can go stick your latest "new and improved" feature (note extreme sarcasm) in AI chatbots where the Sun don't shine.

Someone tell me is Mozilla trying to destroy Firefox?

Are they trying to get people to move to Edge, Chrome, Safari or Opera?

If they are they are going the right way about it!

I am getting sick to the back teeth of Mozilla forcing their crap down our throats.

I have lost count the number of times I have had to go into about:config to turn off the latest crap FX has forced down our throats over the years.

None of us asked for AI Chatbots which is one of the worst ideas ever invented.

I already had to delete Microsoft CoPilot from my PC last September now I had to do it with FX.

Everybody do this and it works:

Goto address bar and type in about:config, goto the search bar and type chat and where it says browser.ml.chat.enabled change from true to false and you will be rid of those garbage chatbots.

I have done that for every forced you you feature FX has added over the years like Pockets and Screengrab and all the other garbage they have added over the years.

Hello!

I've noticed that certain pages on my website, facla.ro, appear differently in Firefox compared to other browsers like Edge and Chrome. Specifically, the layout of embedded content, such as Google Docs in iframes, looks distorted or has different formatting. Could this be related to screen resolution or browser rendering? Is there a way to improve compatibility and ensure consistent appearance across browsers, especially in Firefox? Any suggestions from the Mozilla community or specific settings in Firefox that could help optimize this?

Somehow I recently added a favorites side bar to my page and not sure how to get rid of it now. Now when I open my saved pages it turns it into a 2 step process. Now it opens up a side bar and then I have to click on the star to open my saved pages. Before I just clicked on the folder and it opened them up. I have searched on help but none of it helped. One solution was to got to settings and to hide side bar but I don't have that option. Tried to customized toolbars, nothing seems to work. I use the favorites all the time and to turn it into a 2 step process is a pain.

When opening several tabs they start to shrink down to the browser.tabs.tabMinWidth for which the default is too small for my sensibility. I've tried messing with it to make it more tolerable but what I really would like is to be able to set the tabs to not change size at all. I would like them to stay the default size. Of course let users have smaller tabs if they like, but let us not if we don't want it.

My second issue is when you have many tabs open and you scroll through them with the mouse wheel, it scrolls 6 tabs at a time per mouse wheel input. I would like it to do 1 tab per mouse wheel input just like if I was clicking on the arrows at the top to scroll through tabs. It just makes sense to stay consistent or to have an option in the config that controls tab scrolling.

These are things users used to have control over and were removed. Unless a setting in about:config was renamed to something weird and I'm just missing it, the settings that replaced these options are insufficient.

Using Firefox 137.0 (64 bit) Win 11 24H2

I have just noticed that the background colour of the sidebar and the customise firefox is a pinkish red. I much prefer them to be white. I cannot see or find a way to change the pinkish red to white nor why this colour has been chosen.

I do have a theme which includes various tones of red. Not sure if this is relevant but if it is, it seems to defeat the concept of having a theme, which I regard as a header that should not affect the body of the page).

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello everyone!

How I can show only the tab icons on vertical tab? Currently I could solve the issue showing enabling vertical tabs, going to Customize Toolbar and just clicking on Done. But every time I use sidebar (showing bookmarks, for example), the vertical tabs display tab titles again, and I need to repeat the process.

There some way to setup this to always show only the icons on vertical tabs? Thanks in advance!

Can this be done via userchrome.css?

After a recent update to FireFox, every time I click the puzzle icon to try and Pin an extension to the Toolbar it takes me to `about:addons` instead. In `about:addons` I cannot click or right-click anything and select Pin To Toolbar as I was once able to.

I have downloaded FireFox Developer Edition and the puzzle icon does exactly what it suppoused to do which is to show a DropDown list of installed extensions I can Pin or Un-Pin.

Looks like a bug.

Why is this happening? Please tell me that's not intentional.

Hello,

I wanted to customize my Firefox new tab with a local HTML file, such as "/path/to/my/index.html". It was possible to use this workaround: https://github.com/Jangsoodlor/Firefox-New-Tab-Config/tree/main https://github.com/Jangsoodlor/Firefox-New-Tab-Config/tree/main

Which implied a configuration file (sometimes named "autoconfig.cfg", "firefox.cfg", "local-settings.cfg" depending on the guide since the name is arbitrary) with javascript code. In the new Firefox 136, this code fails to execute due to a new API being used.

If you want to customize your new tab, follow the previous guide, but on the configuration file write this code instead:

// My new tab
try {
  const ff = {};
  ChromeUtils.defineESModuleGetters(ff, {AboutNewTab: "resource:///modules/AboutNewTab.sys.mjs"});
  ff.AboutNewTab.newTabURL = 'file:///path/to/my/index.html';
} catch (e) {ChromeUtils.reportError(e);}

Note that the file must start with a comment

Adapting the "/path/to/my/index.html" to your needs.

Thanks to @mkaply (github) on this thread https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/discussions/1190 for the new API method.

I post this here in case someone has the same issue, because is quite recent and hard to find on the internet.
