Javascript is not working in my firefox. Even going into settings to enable java script doesn't work, because it says java script is enabled. But the webpages tell me that they need javascript enabled in order to work.

I'm conducting research on the web but nothing is being recorded in my search history which is really annoying as I need to refer back to it at times. I can find it under recently closed tabs. Please can you advise what is going on?

How to disable the auto-adding of shortcuts feature from history to home page? It's really annoying, when I want to change my pinned shortcuts, I have to delete all auto added shorcuts (Even when the items on the screen are finished, they keep appearing in front of me, and this takes a long time). It is a must feature I think.

I don't remember signing up for Microsoft OR Mozilla. but I've been using Firefox for years. I have Microsoft, which may be [edited] @gmail.com, as I changed it from that to [edited] @gmail.com years ago, and haven't logged in for years.

Hello! I just moved to Firefox a week ago and so far, I'm really happy I did. Nearly everything is better. That being said, there's one feature I used all the time on Chrome that I can't get working right here, and that's auto scroll. On Chrome, it worked no problem. When I clicked in the scroll wheel, it turned on auto scroll and would stay enabled until I clicked it again. One Firefox though, this isn't working right. When I click in the wheel here, it enables for a quick second before disabling itself. It's super annoying and makes it unusable. I found out it's because scrolling on the scroll wheel cancels auto scroll on Firefox, but not on chrome. So how do I make it so scrolling on the scroll wheel doesn't break auto scroll? I love Firefox and generally really appreciate the way y'all operate as a company and developer.

However, I really don't like this new function to add tabs to a group. Since it rolled out, I'm always adding tabs into groups when I don't mean to. Really, it's creating a group almost every time I move a tab around. If I delete the group, it's just more clicks and distractions to deal with.

In the past, when you've rolled out new features like this, you've also made it very easy to turn off any new feature we don't like. But I can't figure out how to turn this off. Is it possible?

Many web pages that have a video header will launch the video in a popup window after you scroll past the header.

There are no user controls in the popup window, and clicking 'block popups' and turning off 'enable p-n-p controls' had no effect on them.

Is there a a setting that will stop these video popups from automatically launching? They eat up a lot of memory, and are a pain to turn off manually.

This problem, annoynace, has become overwhelming of late. It appears everytime a have a FF version download, this problem increases. Any help advice would be appreciated. Dan

I see there is a new AI chatbot feature available on Firefox. In reading the article about the various AI providers, I did not find information about who owns each of the chatbots. That information would be helpful in deciding on which chatbot, if any, I might decide to use. Thanks.

Hi guys, Had Firefox as network default browser for decades. Now I have a problem with my DNS pihole filter, firefox just goes around it. I've read countless articles on how to stop this, I've tried DoH 0 and DoH 5, I've placed a file policies.json in a distribution folder. I've tied everything I can find on the net. Nothing and I do mean nothing, had the slightest effect. Firefox goes around whatever I try.

I've spent many, many hours on this please tell me how to kill this, I'm forced to use another browser at the moment, which is painful.

version 142.0.1 64bit W11.

I've done all the troubleshooting I could find, including: Uninstalling, tried using beta ff, disabled hardware acceleration, disabled/removed all extensions, memtest, updated various drivers. Still frequent tab crashes Tried two other browsers and neither of those had any issues. No crashing on edge or duckduck.

Crash reason seem to be mostly EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ and EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT
