I have set four custom URLs to open each time I use my main Firefox profile - this works well. (I have several different profiles I use for different roles and sets of logins).

I frequently open new windows to hold a set of associated tasks.

If I specifically open a link into a new window, the new window only has that one tab - all good.

However, if I just open a new window (Ctrl-N), Firefox always opens four new duplicate tabs for my custom URLs.

Is there a way to limit custom URLs to the first window opened in a profile or to open custom URLs only if they are not already open in at least one window?

Hallo there, somebody knows how I could on my side the log out timeout of any website where I have a login some longer? I am using a forum (ubuntuforums.org) quite often and after only few minutes I am logged out, I have to login again. This is annoying. I would love to manipulate such logins so that the site thinks, I just logged in and does NOT log me out automatically after x minutes or seconds.

Is there such Add-On or setting? I guess its the expiration date of session cookies, isnt it that, where these log outs are calculated? Thanks for hints, I am on Firefox latest (119.0) on Windows and Ubuntu. frank

Certain fonts are displayed not as what I set them to in Firefox's settings.

At first, I thought it was a windows OS font related issue- it's not.

I've followed everything here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1323130 (The answer support link is inaccessible. But following the answer did not fix my issue.)

Also looked to see if any of my add-ons are affecting it. I've disabled them on the sites (in the screenshot) but the fonts are still displayed as attached. Checked to see if the add-on uBLOCK is disabling remote fonts, that feature is not checked so that's not the issue.

I expect the back button to return to the previous page visited, but too often the button either doesn't respond at all or a right click is required to view the page history. Is there something I need to do get the original function of the back button that I thought was universal in most browsers?

Using the arm64 version of Firefox on a Surface Pro X causes several graphical issues. These issues started either with a update of Firefox or drivers.

What can be done to report this issue and help it getting fixed?

I'm looking for the best way to integrate idm integration module in Firefox to get all Internet download manager features.

Google search has stopped working intermittently for about a month now (August 2024) in Firefox. I haven't seen a real useful fix or explanation of what's going on from Mozilla. Please fix this. It wasn't an issue before.

On some webpage, I experience delay response when I trying to search sometime. For example, in Google homepage after typing something or even gibberish the page froze and not responding for about 10 second but the browser is still functioning (meaning I can still move other tabs or open option). Once that 10s delay is over, it responded with my result. And something when I when to search back something again(not in the homepage), more of the time is response back fast like 0.2s but other time the same 10s delay. This problem also happens in some other website but not all in their search bar. I have try in safe mode. disable all my extension, reinstall Mozilla Firefox, check any windows update and such. Also other browser does not have this problem such as chrome and brave. If this problem still persisting then I would such to other browser but prefer not to as I quite fond of Firefox. I reinstall my windows 11 yesterday and since I cannot log in office. I go through the identification process, then once done I am back to the sign in page.

On chatGPT, when I go to login, I got the error message "We ran into an issue while signing you in, please take a break and try again soon."

Both websites were working fine last week. Also on the same computer I can access these websites using chrome. I tried to clear the cache and the cookies, disable extensions (ublock + cuberghotVPN), lowering security options like disable DNS security and disable tracking security, I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, but I can't fix this issue.

I am a bit out of ideas to try. Anything else I can do to get access back to these websites?

Hey, so, I've seen this question a couple times when I searched, but (a) there didn't seem to be any solution and (b) they were all regarding Macs and I'm on Windows 11 v 23H2. I keep getting bubbles saying that Firefox wasn't able to check for updates- not that it couldn't download or install updates, but it couldn't search for one. I also did the "about Firefox" thing and it gives me the same message. Both of these have been going on for a couple days and I have attempted restarting Firefox multiple times and did a manual update [125.0.1 (64-bit)] just in case there was a problem there. Now, I've tried the tips from the other threads (turning off the proxy, checking any anti-update policies, and checking the add.update.url in the config settings) with no luck. So in an effort to either bump the question or get any Windows oriented answers... Thanks muchly

On the 23. of Mai I first noticed that I am unable to download any files whatsoever. I tried downloading .exe files and also a .csv file. When I try to download one of these files it appears in the downloads window but immediately goes to the status "Failed". Any retry fails as well.

The same thing goes for extensions. I cannot download any extensions or plugins using my Firefox browser. Since I reinstalled Firefox I can now also not use Plex because Firefox can't install the required plugins.

I will attach screenshots of all the errors I get.

All of the above worked when I tried it on the Edge browser.

Firefox version: 126.0 Windows 11

Things I have tried to fix the issue:

• Use the network connection from my phone instead of my home network
• Disable firewall and windows defender
• Reinstall Firefox
• Refresh Firefox
• Downgrade to version 125.0.1 and 122.0
• Reset router to factory settings
• Flush dns
• Restart PC
• Manually delete profile folder
• Delete temp files
• Change download destination
• Disable "Block dangerous and deceptive content"
• Troubleshoot Mode

Is Firefox using some other temporary folder for downloads?

Any ideas on how to fix this issue would be appreciated.

Everytime I load Firefox the bookmarks sidebar is not shown.

Navigating thus View => Sidebar => Bookmarks I can bring it up. It will stay visible for the whole of my browser session. However, after I've closed this session and started another. the bookmark sidebar is missing again.

How can I make the bookmarks sidr be available all the time?

FF 127.0.2 OS Windows 11 Pro v 24H2 Build(26100.994).

I don't know what happened, I haven't been tinkering with anything. This happens for every video, not just this one. I've also posted my addons as well, in case that helps with anything.

Hi, can you help? I can't access morphy richards website from my phone and my pc through Firefox. I can access it through Microsoft Edge on my pc and my Samsung Internet app on my phone but not through my Firefox app or windows 11 Pro desktop pc. I get this message on my pc

Steps I have taken is clearing data, history and cache on pc, turning off mcafee firewall. I use my pc through a wired Internet connection and my phone through Wi-Fi and data and it's the same on both I can't access the website. Like I mentioned I can access it no problems through Microsoft Edge on my pc and Samsung Internet app on my phone so I have now pinpointed it to Mozilla Firefox being the issue, also this is the only website I have issues with. I used to be able to use the backspace key to go back one URL in a given window. Now, even though I have gone to about:config and changed browser.backspace_action = 0 to 'true', this no longer works, at least not with my new Windows 11 computer. I tried closing and re-opening Mozilla with the new preference, and again with closing, restarting the computer, and then re-opening Mozilla. Please help if you can. Thank you so much.

Just updated to the latest firefox version 119, and noticed that the url links are now all underlined again. Checked the support page that says it can be undone in settings, but when I opened up to the said setting page, there's no option to uncheck underline links. Where else can underline links be disabled?
