You haven't provided an off switch for this "thumbnail preview image of the webpage" on my taskbar? I don't want anything dropping down from my task bar on hovering over it.

This is a new thing, that Firefox for some reason thought was a good idea. Mouse hovering on my taskbar, and have a drop down thumbnail preview image of the webpage?

Thank you all in advance...  :)

I'm not sure if this is a Firefox or Google problem, I'm guessing Firefox because it doesn't happen in Chrome.

Every time I try to login to google in Firefox it auto logs me into a specific account, I don't mean it is already logged in, I'm logged out and where the blank field is to enter your account username(email) the drop down pops up and shows all the gmail accounts and picks one on its own then procedes to the next page for the password on its own. It's like someone took control of the mouse and was doing it for me. Really pisses me off because I'm trying to login to a different account and it chooses the same one every time and I can't choose. If this is some kind of auto login feature please tell me how to turn it off.

Lately I've had to reload/refresh pages more frequently because of download issues. In order to the in FF I need to press the F5 key. To do the same thing in either Edge or Chrome all I need to do is right click and a little popup screen shows me the reload/refresh right there. Much more convenient to use. FF should use a similar technique.

I've been noticing that on some websites, certain fonts are hard to read. For example, the letter "e" being too bold or "i" looking like an "l", and "c" sometimes looking like an "o". Those are just a couple of cases. I've attached an annotated screenshot to show this issue.

Are you satisfied with the way it behaves? Do you find the tool awkward to use? Extremely sensitive to movement during capture. Tends to jump around, for lack of a better term. I just tried to copy a portion of a page, and during the in the attempt, it jumped to the bottom of the page, and there was no way to adjust back, so i have to start over.

The other day I wanted to save a full page, but both buttons would only "Save visible". No scroll.

Why is the no option to save in another format? The help article here says you can convert it afterwards.

Hasn't they been enough time to make a few small refinements.

Can you suggest an addon that will do the same jobs better?

Hello,

It's safe to say that Mozilla is not heading in the right direction, with each FF release things are gradually getting worse and worse (example: the removal of the search bar ENTER key function, and the recent change of terms that allows mozilla to harvest user data through FF). Optimally, the user would be allowed go back to an older release, but with downgrades come the loss of profile ... etc, which is why I chose to simply stop updating FF completely. Not an ideal situation, but there's no telling what else Mozilla is going to f up in the next hour, week or months.

I thought my troubles were over, except there's now the added nag message, it shows up every few minutes, every time i start the browser, even starting private browsing window will activate the update prompt message. it's tedious having to press "dismiss" 20 times a day, the message itself imposes on page content, and can't be disabled by clicking outside the message box. I've already went into configuration, and activated the silent update message option, but to my amazement, the message came back again in a few hours, and the option was flipped back off.

how do i get rid of this message once and for all? and before mozilla staff clarifies how stupid it is to turn off updates, i understand the risks of my own stupidity, i just don't want to put up with mozilla's.

Greetings

It has been 5 years since Chrome introduced tab grouping. Meanwhile, the devs decided to start working on AI instead of getting this done ASAP. My workflow is completely dependent on Firefox so I can't simply change to another browser, the extensions available are not useful for me and I really miss this feature. Since this feature appeared on Nightly I've installed it and my experience just got a lot better, however, Nightly is just too unstable for me. Therefore, is there any way that I can cherry pick from Nightly this one feature that's totally working to my stable Firefox build through the browser itself without having to go to git/source code?

I really wouldn't like to wait another don't know how many years so they can get this done. I guess that my question would also be useful for other features that people are interested, that were already developed and that haven't been released yet.

Hi all,

I’m a longtime Mozilla supporter, and I really value the organization’s commitment to openness, transparency, and user-first principles. That’s why I was surprised to see that Mozilla continues to partner with AccuWeather, and I wanted to open a respectful conversation about it.

AccuWeather’s CEO, Barry Myers, has a long and well-documented history of lobbying for the privatization of weather data. Under his leadership, AccuWeather pushed for legislation like the National Weather Service Duties Act, which would have prevented the National Weather Service (NWS) from offering public forecasts if private companies like AccuWeather were already doing so. Critics including meteorologists and open-data advocates warned that this would effectively limit public access to life-saving weather information.

Myers was later nominated to head NOAA during the Trump administration, despite his deep ties to AccuWeather and multiple ethics concerns. To make matters worse, in the present day, we’re seeing reports that NOAA is being actively dismantled from within—through budget cuts, leadership changes, and political pressure that favor privatization. These efforts echo the same ideology AccuWeather has historically supported: turning essential, public-facing weather data into a for-profit model. This is especially alarming in a time of increasing climate instability, where equitable access to accurate forecasting should be a public right, not a premium service.

Given Mozilla’s dedication to transparency, public interest, and open access to information, I’m genuinely curious how this partnership with AccuWeather aligns with those values. Has this relationship been re-evaluated recently? Or are there specific factors that Mozilla considers when forming or continuing partnerships with companies whose practices may not reflect Mozilla’s core mission?

This isn’t meant to be combative—I really do want to understand the reasoning behind this decision, and whether the Mozilla community has discussed these concerns internally. I’d also welcome thoughts from other community members who may have more insight.

Thanks for reading.

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/136.0/releasenotes/ in 136.0 the shortcut for completing search strings to .com addresses has been changed from Ctrl+Enter to Cmd+Enter.

I visited quite a few unwanted sites today since i was used to cmd+enter shortcut for years. I type google.com and it highlights goo as I type. and instead of opening google.com in a new tab i visit goo.com in current tab. what a painful change. I had to dig to disable the .com autocomplete in the firefox setting (browser.fixup.alternate.prefix and browser.fixup.alternate.suffix), and get used to option + enter instead.

would be nice if this could be customized.

'm not a programmer, but the almost daily new versions of Firefox that you publish make me question whether you know what you're doing? It's a shame to have a product that needs so many constant fixes. I've been using Firefox almost since the beginning, ie 20 years, but I'm seriously considering trying Opera or another browser that doesn't offer a new version every day.

I wish to undo the changes to the sidebar introduced with release 136. I want a sidebar for bookmarks, but the Bookmark Sidebar per se, not the multi-functional Sidebar that has replaced it. The new version takes up unnecessary screen space even when I only select bookmarks. I have Firefox installed with Windows 11.
