I'm a gamer and alt+tab considerably often. Most of the time I end up on FireFox because I need to look at a map or browse reddit while I'm in queue. However, whenever I alt+tab frequently a bookmark will get selected as if I am clicking and dragging. The bookmarks on the bookmark tool bar always end up in different places. Is there a way to lock these links in place so I can't move them or do I have to resign myself to fixing it every day?

My new Windows 11 laptop forces me to use the "Mail" app to forward links by email using the "email a link to this page" utility feature in the Firefox toolbar Prior to this, my old laptop would just use Outlook which was quicker/better.

The multi-step method using Mail was cumbersome so in trying to designate Outlook as the sending vehicle over Mail, I designated a non-performing solution which is now preventing me from emailing links (and captured webpage info) at all. I would like to migrate back to Mail or find the correct choice for Outlook but the "email a link to this page" in the Firefox toolbar does not work now as a result of my poor choice.

Anyone know how to fix this? I have "restored factory defaults" and other on the toolbar features but does not help. This was apparently an unrevocable choice.

My System Mechanic malware search system has quarantined a virus located in two Firefox locations: Virus is W32/Trojan.YZST-9002 LOCATE IN: C:/PROGRAM FILES/MOZILLA FIREFOX/UNINSTALL/HELPER.EXE C:/PROGRAMFILES/MOZILLA FIREFOX/MAINTENANCE SERVICES_UNINSTALL... I will use the delete process and remove them and watch for future loads.

For some reason it seems like under windows 11 with a HDR display, websites like YouTube don't allow for HDR media playback. This is really disappointing and a major flaw as HDR media is definitely the future. And this has been working just fine in any chrome based browser for years now.

Is there any way to enable this?

Getting sick of FireFox, I want to search from the GOOGLE SEARCH BAR, not the address bar, but the settings don't work you can choose to have the search bar next to the address bar, but it doesn't work, the google search bar doesn't work either, no matter what setting, your search ends up in the address bar, with all the updates, they don't fix crap on here, when someone makes a complaint, FIX THE CRAP, I don't need to ask 100 people why it wont work, just FIX IT!!

Only for some selected websites. I get this on Lowes.com too

FireFox keeps putting a .jpg at the end of any file I try to download with .exe as its extension and adds a .jpg, example, when I download QU210InstallFiles.exe it changes it to QU210InstallFiles.exe.jpg and I cannot there for install the program because it has the .jpg added to it and it wants to open in windows media viewer instead. It never use to do this, what have you guys done....uuhhhh, any help would be nice and I thank you. Daniel Goggia

My email account has been discontinued due to identity theft. I can't log into my Firefox account without entering a confirmation code that is being sent to a nonexistent email address. What is the work around for adding a new email address? William Friedman [email]@gmail.com

When I use the firefox 104.0.1 pdf viewer to print shipping labels they look fine in the preview but when I print them the barcodes are missing all the small lines and where it says P or F up in the top left box it just prints some block looking thing. Prints fine from Adobe or Preview. Mac Big Sur .

even weirder, i can access both google and FB on my laptop with firefox. I've tried syncing the two with having bookmarks etc. i can sync from laptop to desktop but not vise versa.

i thought I'd uninstall and reinstall firefox but i don't want to lose any info esp my Bookmarks on the Desktop hence why i was trying to sync the two.

My desktop is older, maybe 5-6 years, my laptop is 1 year old. Dunno if this matters. thanks, Jan

Earlier this evening, I was doing a little security update and changing the password to my Twitter and email addresses. Standard stuff. Firefox suggested a secure password and I agreed; Firefox came up with a good one. The key icon in the URL bar showed a little message that said it had saved the passwords. Hooray.

It turns out, it didn't update my passwords at all and now I am locked out of my accounts. Firefox hasn't saved these new passwords it came up with and I'm stuck with my old ones which, obviously, don't work.

What can I do?

Recently, my win 10 crashed and although I managed to recover some operative, I found to my horror that the desktop screen text size and contrast cannot be changed now. The current default setup is a real eye sorer, so I opened personalization settings but there is nothing on how to change this very theme, other than other posts suggesting entering the regedit system files. I am very reluctant to tinker with this given the Win10 application crashes. Running maintenance doesn´t do much. I notice that Firefox also has access to this very text size and font theme for web domains, but I am very wary again of tinkering an unknown. What the heck can one do, confidently without the system resetting itself? One thing is for sure, it seems Win10 home edition update 21H1/2 versions is basically treating users very badly, as if MS wants to ignore them. Bless us all when the embedded caption suggests "ready to update to Win11". I´m highly inclined to bin it.

I found that the accounts of the domain name account.com.cn and account.com do not seem to communicate with each other, which will affect the information synchronization of different devices.

Is there way how to organize my addons to groups on firefox toolbar? Let's say that I want to have folders or containers or groups for: video addons, shopping addons, searching addons, tabs addons, ... (see attached image).

I have looked for 4 hours now to find a fix for send link in my file tab you have & I am done i need help .malito box that comes up to hook in with what ever I want to send stoped.again 2 time now. last time I re load firefox & it work for few days then now GONE.DEAD. windows 10 hp alinone i am running so if you can tell me what to do be nice with out having to start all over. thanks alisa from wyoming . I have been using Firefox for many years. Suddenly I cannot get any sound from videos in Facebook, YouTube or anywhere. The settings in Privacy --> Permissions --> Autoplay are set to "Allow Audio and Video". There is nothing wrong with the computer as I can play videos and sound files on it with no problem. Sound is no problem on Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. It is just Firefox that after years of use the sound as stopped working. Can anybody help?

Skysports.com always asks me to select cookie options. Allow or View options and reject. I always choose the second one. The problem is. I can never choose the options. Opera browser, a better browser than this one, shows the options and allows me to choose. Sky just shows the same box every single page and I have to go through the same sequence every time.

The fonts are weird for some pages. I have used the following settings: Fonts for: latin, Proportional: Serif, Serif: Default(DejaVu Serif), Sans-serif: Default(DejaVu Sans), Monospace: Default(DejaVu Sans Mono). Also I have checked the box "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above".

Need help to fix the issue!
