I have the current version of Firefox browser. Every time I clear the browsing history, I am being logged out of my Google and Microsoft accounts, which is forcing me to go through the tedious 2-step verification process to log back in. This was not occuring before. Please fix this annoying and time consuming bug!

I used to be able to clear all data with no problem, but now it's holding to Gmail login data (I think that's the problem, anyway). I clear all data after each browsing session and have been doing so for a long time, but it's not working anymore. But it is working on my husband's laptop and we're on the same version of Windows (11) and have the same settings. Can someone please assist in figuring out what's happening behind the scenes? One of the recent updates changed Firefox's behaviour. It now remembers my login status to various sites when I close the browser. For example, if I was logged in to facebook when I closed the browser, I will be logged in when I open the browser and navigate to facebook.com. This was not the case until very recently (a few weeks at most). Is there a way to change this?

I have strict privacy settings, and Firefox should delete all cookies when it is closed. There are no 'exceptions'. I have 'always use private mode' checked for history. Also: I haven't changed any settings recently - something changed in Firefox.

I can't figure out why gmail will not allow me to log in. It tells me that cookies are turned off but I can't even figure out what that means or how to correct it

I am having the same problem as this fixed one, a year later: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1468647 As soon as I try to connect to an account via Google, or go to Gmail/Docs/Drive/Classroom, I'm always taken to a “Clear cache and delete cookies” page. So I followed the instructions on the page, deleted all my data and saved cookies from Firefox and even tried to reinstall Firefox completely, but nothing changed, I'm always redirected to this page. Logging in when in incognito mode works fine though.

This may seem like an old problem, but I seem unable to fix it. I have a web site for which I updated the home page. But when I tried to have Firefox load the home page from the web site to be sure it looks OK, Firefox loads only the local copy from past loads of the home page and I do not see the updated page at all. I have tried clearing the cache, but that does not fix the problem. It seems that something has changed as this method, if I recall correctly, used to fix the problem. I am sure the fix is simple, but it has eluded me. Can anyone share the fix for this? I currently use Windows 10.

I have email account with CenturyLink Webmail. I have been informed it is FIREFOX who is now requiring me to ACCEPT Cookies before I can read/process my emails. WHY???

Been on the phone1.5 hours with CenturyLink assistants and they have determined it is FIREFOX BROWSER requiring user (me) to accept cookies. WHY???

The attached screen shot clearly show the issue. I use FIREFOX daily to log in. NOW The screen stays DARK tuntil I ACCEPT cookies. WHY? Please work with me to resolve this irritating issue.

Good day,my firefox has been acting weird for the last weeks.Everyday I have to re-login to all the sites I have been to,as if it doesn't save.E.g my email,I might login today,but tomorrow i have to re-login.Or youtube,today i login,tomorrow i have to re-login,confirming that I'm the one by going on the phone and pressing the correct verification number.Please,would you like to help me with this,so that i no longer need a phone and so that i no longer have to re-login the whole time.Some sites i had yesterday aren't even here now.

I am informed here that my cookies are not enabled and that they should be , buy following EVERY link I can find from "settings" to "privacy and security" there is nothing that says "enable cookies" ,also as usual the last link given never allows me to find an answer? Where is this answer is all I am asking for, nothing too difficult is it?

Cookies and Site Data - How do I clear all except the few I want to keep, without having to go through the list and select manually each time. i.e. "Delete all except", every time I close Firefox?

Hi, I've been trying to access academic articles through my university library online database. My browser often directs the shibboleth authentication to the sign-in page of my previous university, not to my current ones. An example is provided below: the first link gets automatically changed to the send one. How can I stop the browser from doing this, so that I can log in through my current university account?
