i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

I reset a computer, deleting all my files. I want to use, as I do elsewhere, Firefox as my browser. And though I signed into Firefox using my old credentials, none of my bookmarks are there. How do I complete this setup?

I know that there is a generic Linux iteration that can be downloaded, but it does not appear to allow for use on ARM64. Is there a way that I can download, install, and access Firefox on my Orange Pi 5 Plus?

Firefox keeps reminding me that updates are available. I download and it says its installing but it doesn't seem to update. I have tried closing Firefox before running the installation but it makes no difference. I am on 125.02 at the moment.

I keep getting notifications asking me to update firefox every couple of days. I download the update, it goes smoothly, the notification disappears, but it comes back in a day or two. I also have my setting to supposedly do updates automatically, but that doesn't seem to be working. Please help!

I need step by step instructions to create my NEW account, because I couldn’t enter the code to confirm my account, and now I can’t sign in , or anything. I would like to sync everything as well. Please advise. Thank you

I'm using

• Firefox DevEd (manually installed) as my primary driver and
• the standard Firefox (installed from the package manager) for leisure/hobby related browsing

each with its own Mozilla account and profile, on Manjaro KDE. Sadly, either Firefox sees all the profiles. They have usually different versions. If I mistakenly start one of the Foxes in the other Fox's profile, the newer version of Firefox (usually Firefox DevEd) autostarts migrating that profile. Which it renders the profile "corrupted" for its intended Firefox.

I'd like to have Firefox DevEd unable to see profiles (or anything else) intended for the standard Firefox and vice versa. Or at least unable to botch profiles. I do not want to disable migration or use no. Given that Firefox configuration location is hard-coded, I'm not having high hopes for my wish.

I'm wondering if there is a way to keep two Firefox installations completely isolated, other than running them in containers.

Hi, the turbotax website forced me to update Firefox and since I did, I am no longer able to open the browser at all. The error message reads, "You can't use this version of the application "Firefox" with this version of OS X. You have OS X 10.11.6. The application requires OS X 10.12 or later." Unfortunately, from what I have read, I can't get that update that on my iMac (21.5inch, late 2009) OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6. Is there any way to downgrade the Firefox install? I can't even see what previous version of Firefox I had before because I can't open the browser anymore. If anyone can help I would be super grateful. Thanks in advance!

I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

I have all my passwords stored on Firefox on my macbook pro. When I follow the instructions to sync my passwords on the Firefox app on my phone, it keeps rejecting my primary password, saying it is incorrect. I have deleted the app and re-installed it on my phone, but it still does not work. Why will my account not open on my iphone app? Thank you!

I just got this new computer and want to transfer my FireFox bookmarks and history to it. I cannot access my old account because I do not have access to that email anymore, and you require me to get a code sent to that email to log in. That is still on my old computer that was originally running Windows 8, and has been deteriorating ever since Microsoft jammed Windows 10 down it's throat.

I might still be able to export the bookmarks if there is some way to do that.

The best way would be if I could access to that old account without needing to access bonin006@umn.edu my current email is wayne@nano-dyne.com

I cannot even download firefox because im getting an error message " cannot create temp archive folder" It wont even launch the install files. Something orgininally happened to firefox on my computer because i wasnt able to download anything with the browser download manager. I need help

I had the situation maybe a year ago. I use the Firefox profile manager.

I just updated to 127.02, and now not I'm getting this because for whatever reason, since the update, I am somehow on the beta channel, but only with this profile. I just opened two other profiles, and neither is on the beta channel, although i don't know what "Firefox is being updated by another instance" means.

I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I'm also just noticing that a number of my addons settings have reverted to default.

Not sure if this is a new 'feature' post-update but it's damn annoying. I was busily transferring some photos that I'd taken on my phone over to Firefox on my Mac. Wasn't until I went to find them on the Mac where they would normally be and couldn't find them. Bit of digging, opening up the Download 'history' on Firefox and saw "File not downloaded: possible security risk".

I can see that I can disable this 'feature' but it seems to be a global "allow". Is there any way I can tell Firefox to allow any downloads from my devices on my network yet warn for potentially insecure downloads from the web?
